Zaxby's is my favorite fast food restaurant in Georgia. I normally go to the one in Marietta but this one was closer to where I'm staying. Mid Saturday, no drive thru line. What?! The lady who took our order was super sweet and helpful when I described the meal I wanted (couldn't remember the name haha). There was no wait receiving my food either. Considering this is a southern fast food restaurant, not much to say here. The service was decent considering they had quite a few people in the restaurant at the time. One thing is for certain, that southern sweet tea is indeed sweet tea. I can still taste the sugar in it. I'm pretty positive the sandwich I got wasn't the one I ordered. Omg the attitude! The light skin and a bit chubby young lady who was working in the kitchen Monday 10/5/2019 was quite full of it. Messing up my order and looking offended that i dared complained. And actually because i pay quite more than any regular fast food, i expect a better service. I have been to a few of these restraunts and this is the worst so far. The chicken looks like it's been fried too long and dry. Half the time it looks like they pulled some old chicken out, nuked it and dumped some sauce on it. Service is as bland as the food. Yes, they routinely make you pull to the side to get your food. Wowz! Thank goodness Zaxby's isn't in Illinois or else I would be morbidly obese. The food probably tasted twice as delicious since we came here after hiking at Sweetwater Creek and were ravenous. I would say Zaxby's is a better version of Chick-fil-A since they have a larger variety of options. Having recently moved to the Atlanta area, I've made it my goal to try all the new restaurants that were not in the Pacific Northwest. I've gotten food here twice from the drive thru, and while it deserves 5 stars for the food itself, the service is not so great. I'm specifically downgrading it on the service I received Thursday night. I ordered at 7:21 (boneless wings and tater chips) and was asked to pull forward. I understand they cook to order so I knew I was going to have to wait about 10 minutes. I don't mind because that means hot, fresh food. Except people that ordered behind me started receiving their food and leaving. At 7:40 one of the employees comes out to hand me a package of cookies and tells me my order should be out shortly. When I asked what was taking so long her reply was "We only have one cook in the back, and he is fairly new". After 10 minutes, I went inside and asked to see a manager only to be informed they were not there at the moment. I finally received my food after another five minutes of waiting and not one person apologized for the long wait. I'm sorry, but having to wait 35 minutes for food that should take 10 minutes tops to cook is unacceptable. You don't give someone cookies for that and not even offer an apology. At this point, I'm probably not going back to this location. Luckily there are others on the way home. Because their food is wonderful. read more

Went to this restaurant for lunch today. My total was $7.02 I handed the cashier my $20 I got my change and didn't look at it and went back to the office. About an hour or so later checked my change as I was going to buy a drink from the drink machine. I opened my receipt to pull my money out and that's when I noticed my change was not right. I was to have gotten back $12.98 but ask I had was the $2.98. So I called the store to see what I needed to do to get my money back. I was told they have to count the drawer and get neck with me. I never heard back so I called back and spoke with Dwight. Dwight is the assistant manager and was unable to fix the situation. He told me he would have to check with his manager. I told him I'd call him back. When I called back I was told the GM was there. Well she was unable to help either, all she would say is that the drawer can't up not over and there was nothing they can do. So I'm out $10 and Zaxbys cannot no let's just say they won't fix it. I like Zaxby's. I'm disappointed that they no longer have the honey BBQ sauce but I like Zaxby's. I decided to swing by here with my friend the other day after being down at Sweetwater Creek. Ugh. There were a couple of people in front of us but things weren't super busy or anything. The food was OK but the dining room was just a mess. Most tables were dirty, one of the trash cans full to the point of overflowing. And they were out of everything. Both ice machines were out of ice, they didn't even have sweet tea in the dining room, and they were also out of ketchup. I mean, it was like no one had tended to the dining room all day. Writing this kind of review Is personally distasteful to me However with that being said I have never experienced an event where I have had to wait on more than 45 minutes after being pulled to the front to wait for my order and had to go to the drive-through window to ask about my order it was placed 30 minutes almost 45 minutes before I decided to go in confront the manager about what happened with my order and after confronting the manager I still did not receive my order until 25 to 30 minutes after which is personally degrading it's demeaning to me as a customer it is not fair I deserved a free order I did not receive anything for compensation nor was I accommodated at all and I do not think that was OK there were multiple attitudes with several of the employees and the manager including. I personally feel like there needs to be some some type Of disciplinary action for the nightly employees that will work in this night because this is highly unacceptable myself and several other customers I believe it was about 6 in the line that were pulled to the front waiting and had to receive refunds this particular night.
