I'm honestly beyond frustrated and disappointed with my experience. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch fries, and somehow the most important part -- the CHICKEN -- was completely missing. How do you forget the main ingredient in a dish that literally has "chicken" in the name? What I received was just fries with bacon and ranch, which is not what I paid for. It feels careless and like no one bothered to check the order before sending it out. I spent my money expecting a full meal and instead got something incomplete and unsatisfying. This kind of mistake shouldn't happen, especially when customers are paying full price. It makes me question the quality control and attention to detail. This store used to be terrible. Recently I decided to give them another try. I must say their Cobb Zalad is much better than even higher priced salads at sit down restaurants like chilis or Applebees. They must have new management but I just wanted to post an update because they definitely deserve it. Our salads were fresh & delicious. My only request is I'd like to be able to have the chicken on the salads as the boneless wings or at least tossed in a sauce. Otherwise zero complaints!! read more

Ordered an online curbside pick up. Set time to be picked up at 12:30 arrived around 12:35 and checked in on the app. That's when everything went down hill. I waited until almost 1pm before finally going in. The employees at the front weren't even doing anything and there were around three or so other people waiting on curbside/online order pick up. I finally got an employee to notice me and told her I was picking up and told her my name. My food had been waiting on the side of the counter for twenty minutes well the employees at the front weren't doing anything! I was handed the bag and the worker walked away. I had to flag her down again to let her know I also had a drink. Got my large Dr Pepper only for it to be practically flat. Food is okay but definitely not how I remember it being when I got it years ago. Will be looking into a charge back with my credit card company. I could understand if they were busy but they weren't. What a disappointment!!!!!!! Ordered online for an order to be ready at 8:05 PM. Cars lined up waiting for service and the staff do not direct the cars to park so they can bring out the food. So we just WAIT..... 15 mins is enough for the fries to be soggy and lukewarm. Fried pickles?? Ha!!! Fried cardboard is more like it! Went to this location for lunch for the first time and I will not be back. We waited nearly 30 minutes in the drive through and the food was not satisfying. The chicken tenders were small and there was nothing special about the flavor at all. The fries are the cheap crinkle fries and they had no flavor. You go through the hassle of ordering on their app and they make you pull over. I asked the woman at the window, so I'm getting penalized because I use the mobile version. I've eaten at Zaxby's before & the other locations just seemed to have tastier food. I went thru the drive thru which was fast and easy but also a little overwhelming to look at such a complex menu and make a decision so quickly. I got a combo that allowed me to try multiple foods. Boneless wings with traditional sauce, strips, mashed potatoes, garlic toast and coleslaw. Unfortunately the only thing I actually enjoyed was the coleslaw. I can't say I won't visit again in a pinch for lunch but I certainly won't make a special trip. The salads do look enticing. read more

A fellow colleague told me about a new Zaxby's opening nearby so we decided to check it out for lunch on a Friday. I had been to a Zaxby's in Savannah many years ago and don't remember much about it so I was curious to check it out again and see if perhaps this time would be memorable. The outside of this Zaxby's looks very nice and new. It's made to look like a big barn and feels like you're going on somebody's farm. The inside is expansive with lots of tables. Here are my ratings based on different criteria: Cleanliness: Just okay. There were leftover napkins and crumbs of fried chicken that I saw on many tables. There were also a few puddles of water from soda cups. Looks like the staff cleans the tables but not very often. Decor: Typical fast food. No decorations on the walls. Felt very bland and boring. Service: The manager was very attentive and was calling out order number loud and clear. The person behind the counter had an indifferent expression when ordering and picking up food. Speed of food preparation: Fast. This is dependent on how long the lines will be. For us, there was nobody in front of us so the food was ready in less than 3 minutes. Quality of food: Meh! The chicken wings felt like they were overly saucy. My friend specifically asked for the most basic least spicy wings and he was sweating bullets like they were the hottest wings in the world. My order of a Kickin Chicken Sandwich had chicken fingers and ranch sauce between texas toast. The toast was overly buttered up making every bite taste very rich. Paying around $6 for the sandwich felt a little pricey for what I got. I wasn't particularly impressed by Zaxby's. There are plenty of better wings and chicken fingers options nearby that I would be going to instead in the future. read more

The last time I went to a Zaxby's was in Gainesville about 20 years ago. I enjoyed it then, so I thought I'd give the location on Ulmerton a try. Expect fast, friendly service. Even though there was a long line at the drive-thru, it moved quickly. The prices are a bit on the high end for fast food, but considering the quality and portion size, it seems fair. My wife likes Zaxby's so of course I get to go along for the ride whenever she decides what we are going to eat otherwise I will go hungry. It is a consistent experience and hot a fresh but when it is dipped in Zaxby sauce then the tenders really shine. Friendly and efficient drive thru and my order is always correct which is virtually unheard of in fast food drive thru's but tell them light on the ice because I swear they put a 5 pound bag of ice in the cup and 2 oz of drink at times. read more

We've been by this joint on the way to Safeway so we finally caved in for a quick lunch. The atmosphere is industrial chic with annoying modern urban and alternative rock playing overhead. Place is also kept clean, even during noontime lunch rush. Menu is quite extensive; makes all sorts of plays and uses for chicken. Wings, fingers, tenders, salads and all sorts of sides. Queen bee did wings and things platter whereas I simply did tenders. I had boneless wings the other night so I didn't want to do so again. Mine came with a side of fries plus slaw. Hers came with blue cheese and celery plus the requisite crinkle fries. Both platters came with garlic toast and the so called Zax Sauce. That reminds me of thousand island dressing with a kick...and a lot of salt. Tenders were a little on the salty side as well. I tried one of her boneless wings, which she got with sweet n spicy sauce. It basically made the bird taste like General Tso's Chicken...a dish I used to like 25 years ago but find too gloppy and gross anymore. She liked it and the tenders though. She did agree on the saltiness though. Food did come out quickly and hot, which is good. They also feature that weird high-tech coke machine that you find at Five Guys so you can pretty much have any beverage under the sun. Maybe it's not the healthiest or bougiest food, but it can hit the spot. We all have shameful secrets, mine is I don't dislike fast food (note the double negative, I'm still ashamed enough to eschew writing I like fast food). I think my phone is well aware of this shame because after I checked in at Zaxby's a couple days ago, whenever I pull up my Yelp search it still autopopulates that search. I've checked into at least three businesses since then, why Zaxby's why? The number one reason I go to Zaxby's - my husband. (No, this is not my way of shifting blame). I don't even have a regular go-to order at Zaxby's, I often just eat a bit of what he gets (unlike Taco Bell, where I definitely have my favorites). His go to? 10 pieces of chicken in hot sauce with two Zaxby's sauces on the side, a side of fries, and a large coke. Surprisingly, this all comes out to about $16 (I thought fast food is supposed to be cheap!). The chicken is thick and deeply fried. I'm not a fan of the hot sauce, which is probably why he gets it that way. I don't eat a lot of it. I think the fries are ok. They have a nice seasoning on them, which I enjoy. This Zaxby's is new so it is still clean and pristine inside. The clientele is not always the best (my husband almost got into a fight once because a pan handler was reaching into people's pockets to try to steal from them), but if you go through the drive thru you can bypass all that. Well It's definitely not like I remember . Zaxbys and I were tight back in my college days. We started college together in Statesboro GA. Zaxby's was our go to place for some good ole college grub. The last time I had Zaxby's was in Tallahassee about 8 years ago. I was so excited since I hadn't had Zaxbys since college. Fast forward to today, I decided I would try the one Zaxby's that's in Pinellas county.I think they've been there for about a year. I ordered the sandwhich meal with unsweet tea. So the drive thru cashier was a bit stressed, she had a little rush of 5 cars. She was making comments I guess I'll do it myself. She handed me my order and I asked for an extra Zaxby's sauce because I remember it being amazing .Her response was something about her covering the cost instead of just mentioning it cost extra for more than one sauce. I looked at the sauce and realized it eas big enough and one would work. My expierence with the cashier was so so. Now the food...well none of it was hot. The fries were warm and over cooked, dry. The chicken on the sandwich was crispy here and there and just warm. The tom and lettuce were fresh. The zaxbys sauce is just like I remember but nothing else was. I visited today after the grand opening yesterday. The line to order was not very long at all however the cashier let me know that it would be about a 15 minute wait on food once I ordered which I appreciated. The cashiers were friendly, helpful, and kept smiling even though there was so much going on and a delay with the food going out. There were two runners to help expedite the to go orders as well as the orders for those dining in which was helpful. I wish we had eaten there because by the time we got to the office the food was soggy from the condensation formed by the hot food. We will give it another try once the lines die down and when we have time to stay and eat because what we had today was not very good but I'm not sure it was their fault. read more

Ordered family boneless wings and celery, than sides to share was toast fries and fried cheese, I ordered and payed on line than had to wait in the drive through line for all them to order and pay so I didn't save any time in fact that made my food sit longer before I could get it, than when I made it back home everything was soaked and wet, from the steam and I mean dripping, than the wings were over cooked and so crunchy you couldn't even bite them so I spent 27$ and most went in the trash will not go back,very disappointed read more

Very disapointed! My last 3 visits will be my last 3 visits! The orders have never been right! The food is not as good as it was when they first opened. My last order was 2 classic chicken sandwiches and 1 order of fries. The 2 chicken sandwiches were just a piece of chicken on a bun. I asked for 2 sides of honey mustard sauce I was charged .25 each and they were not in the bag! They charged me 8.39 for each sandwich and I did get the fries with each sandwich but thats not what I ordered. Came in for a late lunch on a Saturday. The servers behind the register were very nice and the place was clean and quiet. I ordered the chicken tender meal and felt it was definitely disappointing. In comparison to places like PDQ, the tenders were a lot drier and very salty. Whether it's the chicken fingers, traditional wings, or the buffalo boneless wings I'm a huge a fan. Chicken is always hot and crispy. Buffalo sauce isn't too spicy. The secret zaxbys sauce is super fire for dipping. Not into chicken, no worries they also have zalads for you veggie lovers. Buffalo wild wings has nothing on this fast food joint. FIVE stars for Grace the manager here ..... the rest of the experience needs fixed. Walking in the door my husband and I went to order food. The cashier not only had horrible eye contact she kept looking down when speaking making it really hard to hear her. Second , there was clearly an order issue going on and the cashier kept turning around to see what was wrong when it wasn't even her issue. Very annoying. We order our food -2 very simple meals. My husbands was okay Mine was cold and just not good. Grace the manager who was not only busting her ass helping the staff was waking the dining room. She asked how our food was and immediately handled my meal. She was friendly , professional and just overall awesome. I hope this woman is being paid well. Because I know the industry can be lower paying and she clearly works hard. I've been to this chain in South Carolina and have to say it was really , really good up there.
