I complained to manager. She stated the portions are all pre made. What a joke?! Haven't had this problem with other JM locations. Well at least it doesn't look like a fumigation site in there any longer. The tables and fake wood flooring are back, plastic drop cloths all gone and so forth. I ordered a deluxe club with extra bacon; rosemary Parmesan bread. I walked in and saw the bag with my name on the attached receipt. So I just grabbed it and walked out; no acknowledgement, no attention paid nor even a damn boo from any of the minimum wage drones behind the counter. I easily could've walked off with anything and everything else sitting there had there been any! Beside the awful customer service end of things, once we started digging into the sub...well...I specifically asked and ordered rosemary Parmesan bread; I got regular bread. It still tasted good with a decent amount of fresh meat and toppings, etc. and totally edible! However I simply must stop and say that if these people can't stop and read a ticket off a screen and prepare appropriate sandwich in appropriate way, they don't need to work there. It isn't rocket science to read and pull the proper ingredients. Yes: they're busy! Yes: it's dinner hour!! Yes: good help is hard to find!! However there were several people running around like wet hens at a rooster peep show. Does that mean it's reasonable for them to charge me $18.99 for a simple sub?!?? Basics like greeting, guidance and gratitude go a long way these days more than ever. I've been to this location several times over the past 4 years. I always get good service, the sandwiches are tasty, and the kids are ok. The one cutting the meat looked sad but the rest were ok. I love getting a sandwich mike's way. The only problem is you gotta eat it fast or the oil and vinegar make the bread soggy but that depends on the sandwich too. It gets packed at lunch so go early or after the noon crush. And throw them a tip you cheap bastards, you'll be surprised at what great service you get next time. read more

Messy. Many of us who are from the Northeast, Boston, New York, Philly have an appreciation for mom and pop shops, family owned pizza and sub shops. In my humble opinion chain restaurants can't compare. That being said, I'm no longer in the northeast and mom and pop shops aren't as prevalent as before. That's how I ended up at Jersey Mike's. It was the afternoon and I hadn't eaten. My first impression wasn't the greatest. I had a cheesesteak with grilled mushrooms, in addition to other traditional toppings. It was a little odd that they couldn't toast the sub the way I'd asked. And they wouldn't put ketchup on the sub. Anyways, I had a day full of errands so I took the sandwich to go. The sandwich was way too messy. I mean it was falling apart messy. I asked for lite mayo and it was flooded with it. The sandwich spilled all over my face, my hands, my lap... Just horrible. The sandwich did taste good. It was just way, way too messy. I'm sure they could've done better. I don't think I'll be back though. There is no excuse for the lousy sub we just received, because there were no customers, so certainly no rush on their part. Order BLT sub. Unfortunately, ordered this to-go, so didn't see them make this sub, but when we opened the wrapping, this sub was oil-logged, dripping with oil. Usually I'm a pretty big fan of Jersey Mike's. I've eaten at many locations across different states over the past 17 years. This one, though, has messed up my order on multiple occasions. Most recently I ordered 3 giants and they didn't get a single one right. Last time I ordered 4 giants they got one correct. Even when I've ordered just one they somehow can't seem to get it right. It's majorly disappointing to pay $18 for a sub that's dry and not what you wanted. I could have gone elsewhere, paid less, and had food I didn't want to throw out or give to the dogs. If you're trying to decide what to eat and have never been to a Jersey Mike's before, I highly recommend you give them a try, just not this location. read more

Oh how I sacrifice for Yelp reviews. Yes, I actually stopped at this spot yesterday, thinking I'd get a Sub for lunch and check out this new (to me) Sub store. This store opened last week September 4th. I should have known something was up when I couldn't find a parking space and had to park in the back of the building. So as I finally got to the front door...ohh noo. A huge waiting line 20-25 people long. There's going to be a lot of people returning from lunch late on this day, not me though. I'll check it out the next day. Their menu consists of 10 cold Subs, 6 hot Subs, 5 specialty wraps, and Subs can be made into a wrap or a salad too. Cold subs have three different sizes, mini, regular, or giant. Hot subs are regular or giant sizes. Their interesting schtick is all the meat they put on your cold subs are freshly sliced right before your eyes, which is kinda cool. So you order your sub, choose your bread, and you walk it down the counter (think Subway) Today I ordered The Original Italian that comes with, Provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni. Next you tell them what extras you want or you can tell them, Mike's Way and you'll get onions, lettuce, tomatoes, spices, and The Juice which is red wine vinegar & olive oil blend. All and all a well constructed sandwich. I really enjoyed this sub, maybe it was the freshly cut meat, or the fresh sub roll, or all the fixings, put it all together and this was one tasty sandwich. You'll find something for everyone too. Veggie, cheesesteaks, chicken parm, pastrami reuben, tuna, to name a few of the variety of subs you get to choose from. My favorite sandwich chain store. Definitely a Jersey taste. It is fresh, healthy, and good taste. I have been to many Jersey Mike sandwich stores include this one and they are not disappoint me. As usual, I order something that most of the sandwich store do not have items. Only Jersey Mike has it. The capacola ham with bacon, lecture, tomato and Mike way. Mike way is oil, spice, red vinegar, and pepper. The ham is spicy ham with a minor kick on it. I like it this way. The sandwich is prepared to my order. When you paid, set up phone number account with them. You can collect point along the way for a free sandwich in the future. I like their sweet tea which has the southern sweet. As a LONG time customer of Jersey Mike's I know what to expect when I order a sub "Mike's way", even at this location. Today was the worst subs EVER! I should have known when the service (by a woman I've never seen at this location before) was truly bothered by me coming in. The subs were much smaller, there was barely any meat or cheese or fixings...and they were NOT "Mikes way"! JM's is my favorite go to sandwich chain. The ingredients are always fresh and bread delicious. I will say that this particular shop has screwed up on my last 2 visits by first putting oil when I said no oil and then recently somehow switching my sandwich with the guy's in front of me. Both times it was lunch time and busy. I get busy and needing to be fast but you also need to pay attention to detail and get the order right. I don't consider either of these incidents a reason to stop going as the sandwiches are always good but I recommend watching your sandwich all the way up until you pay. I know it should be hard to not see these things and they were caught before a bite was taken but like it said, it was busy. read more

I'm born and raised in Jersey (like about half the people I meet in Clearwater!) and came to know Jersey Mike's when I moved to the shore area near the original location in Point Pleasant. JM's is a staple there primarily because the sandwiches are big, the meats are sliced to order, the subs are very tasty, the bread is fresh and above all they are consistent in what they deliver to you every time. I was elated seeing that they are not only here in Florida but there's one about 5 minutes from my home. It's basically an expensive Subway, right down to the very set up. Upon entering, I was asked for my order immediately. I told her it was my first time here and I needed a minute to read the menu. We decide on the Ruben on wheat and the Super Sub on Parm/Rosemary bread. The sandwiches were up very quickly which was surprising, but not for long. I had a hot sandwich that really wasn't very hot. The wheat bread was very fresh and tasty but neither one of us cared for the Rosemary bread, it had a funky taste to it. Very busy location. Parking lot is always packed every time I come here. As always is with Jersey Mike's, the staff is excellent. Always friendly and accommodating of whatever you want. I opted for the sub in a tub which is essentially a sub but in salad form. I got the turkey Mike's way and seriously, I don't know what it is about this combination of flavors but it's just so good to me! Go here all the time and it's usually very good. But it's only as good as your last sub. .. last Giant & regular we ordered had the cheese and turkey shaved so thin you couldn't taste it over the veggies. I would say probably half the amount as normal. Maybe just a new employee on the slicer. Will try it again as we always do and hopefully we can be happier next time. I got a Tuna wrap (their tuna is off the hook GREAT) but the wrap was ruined by putting so much oil and vinegar that when she went to roll the wrap it was oozing out all over the place.
