A double patty burger without cheese from 5 Guys in Largo Florida.
    John B.

I went to the 5 Guys restaurant in Largo Florida 10125 Ulmerton Road Tuesday night January 23,2024 at 8:20pm. The place was empty I was the only customer. After looking up at the menu prices I could see why, the price of a double patty burger without cheese was a whopping $9.99 plus tax which came to $10.27. I ordered one double patty burger without cheese. When I got home I weighed it out on a cooking scale and it only weighed 10.6 ounces thats ridiculous for that price. Needless to say I won't be eating at 5 Guys anymore unless they lower their prices.

Five guys is the perfect in between of fast food burger and restaurant quality burger. Price is directly in the middle too, making it proportionate to the dollar value of what you're pay for. One thing five guys never fails to impress me with is the getting the order to people hot AF. They legit pick the patty off the grill, drop it on the burger, and bag it up for you while it's still piping. And pro tip: you're allowed to order extra extra extra bacon at no extra charge on the bacon burger. At this one location back in Wesley chapel the guy that knew me would legit put 6 strips of bacon in the bag for me plus load my burger with it lol. Love this place, it's been consistent for years

    That is a beautiful thing,

I was impressed. A big fat juicy bacon cheeseburger. Fresh out of the wrapper it looked like it could go onto a billboard. It looked amazing. It tasted great. The fries were old-school made from real potatoes and peanut oil and cooked to perfection. There were bags of potatoes in the lobby to show that the fries were made from scratch. The chocolate malt was magical. Five Guys is a lot like In and Out Burger, a simple menu with just a few items made to a high standard, but this was a little better. My son told me that Shaq - the basketball guy owned 150 of these Five Guys restaurants. Somehow that makes sense, I always liked him. He seems to stand for value. They give out free peanuts by the way. There is a giant bin of peanuts on the counter with a scoop and some containers. I had not eaten peanuts in twenty years. They were fun but messy and probably the reason I could not finish my burger. While we were there, two people came in and just got peanuts, kind of a brilliant way to give a little back to the community. I was surprised that there were five guys working there. Somehow I had not figured that out. Overall a great burgering experience. I was impressed by this place.

    Priced well!

Well, I think for the price and for what it is (a hamburger joint) the seating is fine and any fried food has grease. It's just more noticeable in a paper bag instead of a cardboard box or on a real plate. So they have two vegetarian sandwich options: a grilled cheese and a veggie sandwich with or without cheese. The veggie sandwich is awesome, better than I thought it would be. Cold crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, I think 2 slices of cheese, soft bun and hot grilled green peppers, mushrooms and onions. I love their fries and I like that the fries are hand cut, fresh, not frozen. Good portions. Super nice staff. And free roasted salted peanuts as well as free drink refills. My cousin orders her fries "Soft and limp" (lol) and my mom orders hers "crispy". They have bottles of malted vinegar if you're into that.

    The burger was....

Very expensive for hamburgers. The food is good, but does not rise to the level of its cost .

Menu not Totally Outrageous for a joint like this, so once DU FINALLY decided to join us, we sat and listened to the alt rock music and the Queen Bee's squeaky azz bar chair in no particular order. There weren't a whole lotta folks sitting here, which is PERFECT for QB and me; we both HATE "peopley" places and things...I noted the menu is very basic bar grub with a lot of overpriced tropical drinks on the reverse side. Zoey was the barkeep; she paid half attention to us but she did answer DU's queries and offered some recommendations. However then the wheels began to fall off. Queen Bee ordered cocktail shrimp app and got coconut shrimp instead. They corrected it and she got 5 shrimps beneath a pile of tostones. They also left the misbegotten coconut shrimp. DU ate a couple of 'em and left the rest...meh! I ordered a cheeseburger. Zoey asked how I wanted it done...medium. It came out a perfect medium well to well done. Once Zoey finally came back..so did the burger. "Do you want anything else?" I want a properly cooked burger. Get rid of this thing...so away it went. So around 15 minutes later Burger 2.0 showed up. It was cooked the way I asked for it...accompanied by an incinerated pile of Sysco Truck fake azz battered fries...BLECH!!!! I squished 'em in a napkin and left 'em in the plastic tray. They belong in the village dump.... Meantime at least Queen Bee finished the proper shrimp. DU had grouper tacos and said they were good "outside of the tacos."' So we are 0 for 3 at THIS dump...I can only say that Zoey tried to make it up to us as best she could...ONLY reason I give more than one star. Much like the hotel in which this place operates...meh! At least the draft beer wasn't beyond help...At least , as well, so to speak...Zoey took one for the team and removes shrimp and burger from the overinflated bill...I STILL owed these people almost $80!!! Marriott needs to step it up around here!!!!!

The menu sounded good, but I kept my expectations low because of the negative reviews. To my pleasant surprise, I was blown away by how good the food was!!! This might be some of the best seafood I have ever ordered on the beach! Rusty's Bistro, located at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort, is one of more upscale restaurants of the three choices at the resort. The menu includes many local seafood choices as well as several dishes with an Italian flair. The kid's menu offers everything from steak Kabobs and fish and chips to children favorites such as chicken tenders, hot dogs, burgers and pasta. Everything we ordered was excellent, even the children meals were or high quality! My husband and I shared an appetizer of PEI mussels that were accompanied by the tastiest broth and charred bread. For my entree I selected the scallops and my husband ordered the catch of the day. The side dishes change seasonally so you can always expect the freshest vegetables to be served with your entree. The service was just as excellent as our meal. We adored our server and the manager made time to stop by our table to chat with us. When we mentioned the food was so good, but we wish we weren't seated next to the kitchen with the loud construction they offered to immediately move our table and offered complimentary dessert. I will go out of my way to eat here again because this was such a great meal and the service went above and beyond!!!

Others in my group were equally pleased with their grouper tacos, fish and chips, and burgers, etc. The one "minor" complaint from someone who ordered the grouper entree, which he said (and I sort of agree...) had less fish than the grouper tacos! The waterfront setting, excellent service, and outstanding food make this place a must visit. We started with the Jalapeño and Corn Hushpuppies with homemade remoulade. They were perfectly crisp, soft inside, and packed with flavor. The remoulade added a creamy, tangy kick that made them unforgettable. The Cajun Mac and Cheese with andouille sausage was easily my favorite mac and cheese ever. The sauce was rich, velvety, and incredibly flavorful, with the sausage adding a smoky, savory depth. It was hearty, indulgent, and satisfying enough to be a meal on its own. The Low Country Boil was the highlight. Everything tasted fresh and perfectly cooked, and the broth was deeply savory, bold, and full of flavor. The seafood, sausage, corn, and potatoes all soaked it up beautifully. Every bite was delicious and comforting. For dessert, the chocolate flourless cake with vanilla ice cream was rich, decadent, and intensely chocolatey. Easily my favorite dessert of the night. The banana bread pudding was also amazing and full of flavor, but the cake takes the top spot. Amazing food, amazing service, and a great atmosphere right on the water. The ceviche also provided a great flavor and was devoured pretty quickly! For dinner we got the American red snapper, the black grouper and the beef and reef kebabs. The red snapper was yummy but a little fishy for my taste. The black grouper was probably my favorite, stuffed and served with the lobster gravy on top. So good - I wish I would have ordered this for myself! I ordered the beef n reef which had great flavor but only had three half dollar size beef medallions which was really skimpy in my opinion.
