This might be my favorite Five Guys location, and judging by the amount of people in there last night, it may be a lot of people's favorite! I had a grilled cheese with grilled onions, grilled jalapeños, grilled mushrooms, and pickles, and this is just a great sandwich! And as far as the fries go, you can't find a better one in the area. I like the Cajun fries and I get a little hot sauce on the side that I mix with mayo and ketchup and put that all over the fries and I am in french fry heaven! The staff is always friendly, and I have never gotten a bad item from here. In the hour or so that we were there, an employee came out to clean the dining area, at least three times. It's been well over ten years since either of us had visited a Five Guys...I can see why after this evening's venture. I'll get to the chow in a minute, but for now I'll simply say that for $24.80 I expected more than this in terms of quality and more. I ordered ahead and by the time I arrived 5 minutes or so later my burgers were already assembled. They were just waiting on fries. A word of advice for those who order ahead and don't know...They don't start your fries until you show up. So if U don't wanna wait long, you'll have tepid burgers but at least your fries will be hot! I didn't have a long wait since the place was totally desolate; maybe only two other customers beside myself in the joint. I was acknowledged by a couple of folks behind the counter and let me know that indeed: waiting on the fries. We split a "regular" order of fries. This comes in a 16 oz cardboard cup plus a huge scoop more in the bottom of the bag, just as their gimmick has been since day one. Sacks of potatoes and jugs of oil were sitting in the middle of the floor "on display," also one of their gimmicks. Now you know where those big blotches of grease come from in your bag o' food! At least you know where them taters and oil are from! Oh, and the big boxes of peanuts. So far we are up to four gimmicks and I haven't even gotten to the food yet! Three tater gimmicks and one peanut gimmick for those of you keeping track! Okay: food. I already went over the fries (they earn three outta the four gimmicks) so let's get to the "burger barn." Queen Bee: Little Cheeseburger with LTOP, catsup, mustard and mayo. I had Big Hamburger with grilled 'shrooms, grilled onions and A-1 Sauce. Mine was a good bit more sloppy than hers as I had grilled toppings, so I expected that. We both liked 'em okay, but that's about it. Guess what? If I'm gonna pay $9 for a burger and $7 for a "Little Cheeseburger," it should/they should be a helluva lot better than just okay!!! These people should take a lesson from Culver's: toast the damn buns! Then maybe they won't fall apart as easy and may have a lil flavor to add to the sandwich. Another lesson from Culver's: season the patties a lil better too. Then they won't taste as bland! So if anything, one lesson should be gained from this little exercise. If you have to choose between this or Culver's then go to Culver's instead. For one thing the food is cooked to order, which means it comes to you fresh and hot. For another, it has a better taste and higher quality of product. Their dining rooms are a lot more inviting and homey than industrial minimalism with raw food on display. One final word about Culver's...I find them a lil pricey too. However, at least we get a 10% veterans discount whenever we visit. For the quality of their food and service, I don't mind paying a few shekels more than visiting Wendy, a clown or a king for a burger. Who needs tater-and-peanut gimmicks for that? I went to the 5 Guys restaurant in Largo Florida 10125 Ulmerton Road Tuesday night January 23,2024 at 8:20pm. The place was empty I was the only customer. After looking up at the menu prices I could see why, the price of a double patty burger without cheese was a whopping $9.99 plus tax which came to $10.27. I ordered one double patty burger without cheese. When I got home I weighed it out on a cooking scale and it only weighed 10.6 ounces thats ridiculous for that price. Five guys is the perfect in between of fast food burger and restaurant quality burger. Price is directly in the middle too, making it proportionate to the dollar value of what you're pay for. One thing five guys never fails to impress me with is the getting the order to people hot AF. They legit pick the patty off the grill, drop it on the burger, and bag it up for you while it's still piping. And pro tip: you're allowed to order extra extra extra bacon at no extra charge on the bacon burger. At this one location back in Wesley chapel the guy that knew me would legit put 6 strips of bacon in the bag for me plus load my burger with it lol. I was impressed. A big fat juicy bacon cheeseburger. Fresh out of the wrapper it looked like it could go onto a billboard. It looked amazing. It tasted great. The fries were old-school made from real potatoes and peanut oil and cooked to perfection. There were bags of potatoes in the lobby to show that the fries were made from scratch. The chocolate malt was magical. Five Guys is a lot like In and Out Burger, a simple menu with just a few items made to a high standard, but this was a little better. My son told me that Shaq - the basketball guy owned 150 of these Five Guys restaurants. Somehow that makes sense, I always liked him. He seems to stand for value. They give out free peanuts by the way. There is a giant bin of peanuts on the counter with a scoop and some containers. I had not eaten peanuts in twenty years. They were fun but messy and probably the reason I could not finish my burger. While we were there, two people came in and just got peanuts, kind of a brilliant way to give a little back to the community. I was surprised that there were five guys working there. Not your typical 5 Guys. Most of the time you see hustle and bustle and people working hard to make good food and good customer service. The lackadaisical attitude of the cashier (that seemed high) and the wore out staff made this a one time visit. All we ordered were 3 milkshakes, and it took almost 20 min. Sadly I don't have a pic to share bc one bite in I was not thinking about a review but since we looked this location up on yelp, after said veggie sandwich and delicious and super fresh fries, I felt inspired to share. Well, I think for the price and for what it is (a hamburger joint) the seating is fine and any fried food has grease. It's just more noticeable in a paper bag instead of a cardboard box or on a real plate. So they have two vegetarian sandwich options: a grilled cheese and a veggie sandwich with or without cheese. The veggie sandwich is awesome, better than I thought it would be. Cold crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, I think 2 slices of cheese, soft bun and hot grilled green peppers, mushrooms and onions. I love their fries and I like that the fries are hand cut, fresh, not frozen. Good portions. Super nice staff. And free roasted salted peanuts as well as free drink refills. My cousin orders her fries "Soft and limp" (lol) and my mom orders hers "crispy". They have bottles of malted vinegar if you're into that. read more

I love me some Five Guys. I've heard reports that they are one of the big chains going out of business, but if this location is any example of how they're doing then they have nothing to worry about. The food here is great and the service is as well. They always take really good care of me here and show a concern for me leaving with a good experience. Enter Five Guys. My goto burger is the cheese burger, you know the double paddy burger with cheese. On this night I went healthy and didn't add the bacon, lol. My toppings (there are14) are grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, and ketchup. We split a large fries, these are truly delicious when cooked right. If they cook them a little too long.....not so good. Anyway, this juicy concoction gets very messy but so what. It is the best burger you can buy at a so called fast food joint IMHO. BTW, other items on their limited menu are; Little cheese burgers ( only one patty) hotdogs, BLT, grilled cheese, and a veggie sandwich. We went to Clearwater Five Guys last night for the first time. We ordered two bacon cheeseburgers, one fry and one cajun fry. The food was delicious. We were bummed because Ford's Garage left Clearwater and there really isnt any place to get a good burger, but we were wrong. Five Guys has the best burgers we've had in ages. The amount of fries was wild and they were so good. The place was clean and the staff seemed friendly. They have toppings at no additonal costs and the buns were soft. It's Saturday; we don't have much time and we want a fast good burger. We're in the right place. It's always clean and full of screaming. They have the best fries you can find in a fast food restaurant. We munch on some gratis peanuts, make a mess and then hear our number called. The 10 yr. old boy in me comes out when I am handed my big paper bag full of food. These restaurants are reliable, tasty, highly caloric bastions of a great hamburger that is reasonably priced. This is not a boutique burger that it stunningly presented. Their burgers come wrapped up in foil that doubles as your dinner plate but they are beautiful on their own. Five Guys is the In N' Out of the East Coast. Amazing burgers. Hot, perfectly cooked, real potato french fries. They even leave the big sacks of potatoes out so you know you are getting fresh cut fries. The burgers are phenomenal, and you can order them any way you want with all kinds of toppings and goodness. I would eat here every day if my metabolism could handle it. Also, for some reason, the restaurant here on Gulf to Bay seems to fill my bag up with French fries, like SO many fries! This 5 Guys is conveniently located off hwy 19. We had a perfect experience including the new addition of milkshakes! The only disappointment is that this location does not have a Coke Freestyle machine that I know some other locations have. 5 Guys does it right. Simple food, limited menu, cooked perfectly every time. I do not like fries. But I like the fries at 5 guys! They are the perfect amount of slight crunch, perfect saltiness, and I love them with the malt vinegar they provide. My son and I ordered a small fries to share, which was perfect, if not a little too large. Jr. Cheeseburgers are plenty big, especially when piled up with free toppings! I was in the mood for a burger today & tried Five Guys. It was a decent experience. I ordered the "Little Burger" which was plenty big. I love that you can add free toppings to it. I went with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, mushrooms, & A1 steak sauce. In addition I ordered fries. The burger was excellent. The fries were plentiful but definitely greasy. The fries even tasted unhealthy due to all the grease. The bag the fries came in became soaked with grease. The star of the show was thus the very good burger. read more

Stopped by this Five Guys again for a late lunch, just to top off my cholesterol levels. Because you do realize that eating healthy simply lowers your cholesterol, therefor must be replenished regularly, right? And since I haven't had a burger in months, my cholesterol is probably dangerously low. And there's no better place I've found for a good shot of cholesterol than Five Guys. Hands down Five Guys and In-and-Out are my favorite burger chains. Five Guys sets themselves apart on the simplest things that translate to freshness and flavor....beef ground fresh daily, nothing is ever frozen, your choice of 15 burger toppings, fresh-cut steak fries cooked in peanut oil, and everything in every meal is cooked to order. As much attention is paid to each cooking each individual order, it seems like order taking and food delivery is always prompt no matter what time of day I visit. Today was no different, and in just a few minutes my standard order of little burger with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, green peppers and BBQ sauce. Toss in a cup of those tasty fries and another scoop over everything in the bag, just for good measure. I figure there's enough fries in a small order to feed 4 people. Five Guys is a wonderful burger joint that is a step or two up from fast food. They have a very short menu that consists of "little hamburger" which contains one patty and their "hamburger" that contains two, as well as hot dogs, fries, and drinks. You can get the burgers with or without cheese and with or without bacon. Their fries come in two sizes: regular and large. Their fries are more expensive than other locations, but even their regular sized fries is enough to feed my family of four with leftovers. They fill up a cup with fries, put it in your brown paper bag, then add an extra scoop of fries into a bag. We've never really cared for their fries, since they always seemed to be soggy and blah, even though they 'double fry' them. Lately, though, this location has produced some amazing fries that are crispy on the outside but soft inside. I don't know if they've changed their recipe, or if they've just started doing it properly, but they've been wonderful the last few months that we've gone. Their fountain drinks are a little on the 'meh' side. It seems like they are always on the verge of being flat and don't have the bite that I like in my sodas. They used to have good tea, but they've recently switched to a fountain style tea which doesn't taste quite as good. They do have boxes filled with roasted peanuts for you to snack on while waiting for you food, which is a good thing as they can be a bit on the slow side during their busy times. You can call in an order and skip the line, or even submit an order online. That's very handy as they don't have a drive thru window. I wish they had a selection of milk shakes to go with their burgers and fries. read more

When someone says "Hey, do you want five guys?" They are basically asking me "Do you want a stomach ache and a possible side of diarrhea?" Sorry, but lets keep it real. It's not that I don't like five guys, its just that every time I come here and order something its dripping in grease. Don't get me wrong, the food is good but every time I have ate here.... its followed by stomach pains and possible... well, you know this part. I like that the toppings are free. I like that the food is made to order. I like that the staff is friendly but I have to rate this place 2 stars because both times I've came here my food was super greasy, hands were covered in grease (enough to make KFC jealous), burger wrapper was soaked in greased and of course, the stomach-to-grease issue. read more
