The conversations with the staff were so natural and welcoming that I genuinely felt like I was visiting family. And guess what? Granddaddy himself came out of the kitchen, where he was cooking, just to sit and chat with me! We had a REAL conversation. He told me about his career, his retirement, and even pulled out his phone to show me pictures of his family. No scripted customer service, no forced small talk. Just genuine Southern hospitality. I absolutely LOVED that! Now, let's get into this FOOD! I ordered 12 wings, half mild and half hot, with a side of collard greens. Everything came out piping hot, fresh, and FULL of flavor. The portions were generous, too. I couldn't finish it all and had to get a to-go box. The food was delicious, but the hospitality is what really made this visit memorable. There is plenty of free parking. I usually get the Medium spice level when I get Nash Hot Chicken and that's what I got on my sandwich today. It was good for me-- Not too spicy, but hot enough. My server had one of the large groups, which usually means that as a lone patron you get little attention. Not the case here, multiple servers would check in on me. My server and another one that waited on me confirmed this, they talked about they all covered for each other as well as managers and owners jumping in to bus tables and help, and doing it happily.
