I place this order on DoorDash so I cannot account for the service or the atmosphere just the food quality that I received. I travelled to Nashville from DC just because and one night we didn't wanna go out so we decided to order and I saw they had Zaxby's. I haven't had it in a while, but I remember it being really good when I had it in Virginia. I saw that they had lemon pepper, TRADITIONAL WINGS, so that's what I ordered because the last time I was here I didn't know they had wings. I did not receive traditional wings. I have no idea what to even call that of which I received, but you can look at the pictures for yourself. I also had three white pieces of something floating around in my drink. I was so disappointed. I threw everything away!

I enjoyed my first experience at Zaxby's on a previous evening that I wanted more food from this chain. I dropped by this Zaxby's location, which was on my way back to the hotel. This Zaxby's has a drive-thru. I took advantage of it. The man ahead of me needed help with his order. He hd ordered online, was expecting some item, but it was rejected. I heard the woman over the speaker, whom I would later know as Karla P., help him out. She was knowledgeable, especially when it came to the types of wings offered and all flavours. I had her when it was finally my turn to place my order. I got the following: - Teriyaki traditional wings (5) - House zalad with grilled chicken and light vinaigrette Karla was friendly and great. I paid with a credit card. All was great. She handed me my food in a bag. I thanked her and drove back to the hotel. I had dinner in my hotel room. I had cold beverages in my fridge, so I didn't need to buy one. The teriyaki wings were delicious. The wings were a good size. Five of them work well with a regular salad. The teriyaki sauce was yummy, but not terribly sweet. The wings were done perfectly. I loved my house zalad. The veggies were crispy and fresh. The grilled chicken was yummy. I loved the light vinaigrette. It came with two slices of buttered toast. Delicious! It's great reminiscing about what I ate last month. Ah, memories! I wish that there was a Zaxby's nearby. I love salad and a drive-thru way to pick up one would be great right now. I had a great experience. I hope to return someday and try the chicken fingers. (330)

I ordered a Cobb Salad in the drive-thru. My ranch dressing wasn't in the bag - which wasn't a big deal because I saw that they were busy. I walked into the building with my receipt to ask for some ranch dressing. After waiting for over ten minutes, the young man at the register asked what I needed. As he walked to the back of the store, a very rude girl asked if I was helped. I said "yes, he's grabbing me some ranch dressing." She said "uh, did you pay for it?" As he handed the dressing to me, the girl asked him if I paid for the dressing. I asked her to look at my receipt and she ignored me. I will not be back to this restaurant. That employee reflects the image of Zaxby's.

    It's nice in here.

I think I'm generally going to undertake a fellow Yelper's rating system of not giving chains more than 3 stars with few exceptions like Ruth Chris, Flemings, Roy's, and things like that, but I'm going to make an exception here because this Zaxby's was extremely clean (granted it's brand new), the employees were really nice (When I was tossing my leftovers away one noticed I was about to toss out most of my fried cheese bites, I told her I didn't care for them, and as I was walking out she handed me a coupon for a free appetizer for next time), and the fried chicken was quite, quite good. Sorry for that super long sentence The nibbler literally took me by surprise, and the chicken strips has batter on them that didn't all come off at once, but was tiny grain-like. The best chain fried chicken I've had. Their "medium" drink is absurdly large. I'm still curious how I spent $12 here, too. I had the cheese bites, 5 chicken strips, a nibbler and a medium drink. I'll be back.

I am of course talking about arriving in a new city and embarking on a quest to find the best burger. In Nashville burger lover circles, Grillshack is often noted as one of the establishments. It's been here in East Nashville since the year 2013. Yes, same year when Breaking Bad came out and when Miley Cyrus twerked on the award stage. The spot is ran by a husband and wife duo Steve and Susan Richter, with a focus on locally sourced ingredients like locally baked buns from Charpier's Bakery and ingredients from Bear Creek Farm. The burger is executed in a highly classic way, with only the cheese, the meat and the bun combined, with all else on the side. The result is a fairly small, enjoyable burger, but with a very heavy bread to meat proportion (that is a matter of preference). The meat is a bit in the drier side and not particularly rich in flavor, but the burger is well composed and does not fall apart. There are a few tables outside to sit under a covered area and enjoy an American classic. In other words, Grillshack is a staple neighborhood local joint for those in the know and those who have a particular like towards this style: bread heavy, minimalistic and dry crispy texture to the meat. Not necessarily all bad things, but a matter of preference.

I'm always looking for a place to eat in Donelson before my Wednesday bowling league, and this fit exactly what I was craving. Local, Mexican-inspired food, dedicated parking lot, easy to get in & out quickly. The parking lot was quite popping tonight, and I did have to loop through it a couple of times to find a spot even though it is pretty spacious. A place that's been open since 2017 and is still this busy on a Wednesday is a good sign. This is part coffee shop, part restaurant, so there are two different doors. I inadvertently went through the coffee shop one and they redirected me to the restaurant side, no problem at all. I was able to be seated at a table with no wait. My waitress came right over with water and a menu, and I was clear with her that I had about a half hour before I needed to leave. She quickly took my order, giving me recommendations when I asked for advice and was torn between a couple of different things. The menu is large and reasonably priced with a very wide selection of drinks. This isn't the most authentic Mexican food, but man is it tasty. Lots of fresh ingredients and so much flavor, a real crowd pleaser for dietary restrictions and picky eaters! I was torn between chips and queso and a burrito, so it was to my benefit that the chicken burrito comes with a side of chips and salsa, and paying a small upcharge to swap in queso meant I got all of the things I was craving in one order. Pinto beans, guacamole, chipotle aioli, and rice all packed in and put on the griddle so you get that nice sear. There's an option to add a cheese skirt to the burrito that I skipped this time but would absolutely come back for. The chips were thin and crispy, the queso hot and delicious, and I couldn't have asked for more at the price. The burrito is $11 on its own and with the chicken and my upcharge I came to about $19 with tax, plus tip. When the waitress brought my food she also brought my check and a box so I could take the other half to go and get everything out of the way. In and out in thirty minutes with food that was hot, fresh, and super delicious. The service here really goes the extra mile. Easy for a solo diner, easy for a group, and easy to just walk in for a quick meal. My only small gripe is that they may still be too popular for their parking lot, which should be slightly bigger. They've also got an interesting set of coffee and matcha drinks and a brunch menu I'd love to come back for. This is a hidden gem, and I hope locals keep showing up for the great places we already have instead of only chasing whatever just opened!

So we have come here several times for different occasions and today was the least enjoyable. For…read morethe good part of the visit: I love their outdoors area. The tent and bar area are great. They have also really step it up with the games and playing area for kids to just run around and enjoy their time while parents and adults can also enjoy their time. The food has gotten better but I'm still not impressed so I still think they're overpriced. Service: they did "try" to work it out but very poorly. My sister made a reservation for 13 people but somehow they only had one our reservation, quote "10 or 11 people" so they were not prepared either way. We only had 1 extra person showed up. They gave us one (1) picnic table for our party. Even if it was "10 or 11" of us we would have not fit in one of the picnic tables even adding the two chairs at the end, and we didn't. It's better to say they made a mistake than to blame the patrons. There were 2 open tables that could have been used but our server wasn't assigned them... the must dumb excuse on the book. I've worked in restaurants and we always made it work for the customer and the serve, mind you, they were right next to each other. Communication between managers, servers and host/hostess could have been better. Also, I don't like they make you share tables with people you don't know. I love meeting people but this isn't Monell's y'all. Get different kind of seating if you are not going to be open seating in that area. It makes it less awkward to our wallets when we are all chilling and ask, "can we seat here" knowing that you have to say "yes, sure" unless you have your people coming to save you. Overall all, having overwhelmed staff for a planned holiday that happens every years is just unpreparedness of the establishment and a sour taste to the customer. Please do come and try it for yourself.
