As A Deaf customer, I love it when restaurants treat me with respect and are willing to work with me when I place an order. I usually type it on my phone. This Zaxby's was fantastic! I typed what I wanted on my phone, and she quickly typed out a response. Too easy. While I waited for my food, I went to the restroom to wash my hands. The restroom was well-maintained. Within minutes, my order was completed, and it was hot and just made. Moments later, the same cashier walked up and offered me an iced lemonade on the warm fall day. Three stars because it's Zaxby's and everyone loves Zaxby's. However, this Zaxby's is probably the worst when it comes to customer service. The workers are not friendly and if you ask for sauce you are reminded right away that it cost 25 cents for each. If you order something and ask for sauce they will ask you what you need sauce for haha. On my recent visit I asked for honey mustard since we did not get Zaxby's sauce on our sandwiches. I immediately was questioned as to what I needed sauce for. I told them I wanted to replace the sauce I did not get on my order and again, "well it will be 25 cents extra" Cool. So order something and take a sauce off, but you cannot replace a sauce unless you pay. The whole thing is ridiculous. Other than the convenience of this location for many I'd drive to another Zaxby's in Columbus in a heartbeat for customer service. read more

Best Zaxby's in the south; probably the entire USA. The employees are friendly and work hard to make your visit the best. Benning's Zaxby's does have the best tasting food and service. They will bend over backwards to make sure you enjoy , are taken care of, and come again. The blonde at the drive thru, CaLyn, ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS takes care of ALL customers. She doesn't have favorites, she treats everyone the same and always has a smile and job-focused. She works hard to serve quickly and accurately. When CaLyn is not on duty; Jasmine is and she also loves and takes care of the customer. Miss the red-headed manager, Caleb hope he decides to return. He is everyone's man's man. He takes care of everyone; the customer and the employee. He is fair and just and open minded. We need more managers like him; y'all should beg him to return. Let me start off by saying when my family of 4 went into the restaurant, we thought they were closing. It was about 3pm on a Saturday, there wasn't anybody in the store. It took 5 minutes for someone to take our order, we told the cashier it was our first time in a Zaxby's, wanted it to be great and didn't know the menu, the disgusted look on her face wanted to make me leave right then, but I wanted to give the place a shot. My family and I ordered our food and it took almost 20 minutes to receive our order. I could only figure they had to start the ovens and friers again for such a delay, not to mention the horse play going on with the staff in the back, very unprofessional. When our order FINALLY was presented I sat down, the order was wrong. When you specifically ask for plain chicken sandwich, I expect the the order will be bun and chicken, nothing else. When I took the order back, it took another 10 minutes to receive it. Zaxby's, that you for showing your true colors on how this store operates. My family will not be returning. I've been to many Zaxby's in different states and they all live up to the standard of the company when it comes to flavor, however, I have had a couple of not so great experiences when it comes to the temperature of the food and the customer service. This store stands apart to me due to their great customer service. All of the employees here go above and beyond to make sure you feel welcomed and at ease that what you are eating tastes good and that you have a great experience. I'm not sure if they're so good because is in a military base bute I sure hope that many more stores get this good with customer service. Place has gone downhill since it opened. I heard a manager gossip about an employee and the lobby was a mess. I came here for dinner one night and my grilled cobb chicken wasn't cooked properly. Boy this place gets busy at lunch! For that fast food craving that is just a cut a above, head over to this Zaxby's on-post. I ordered a Cobb salad with grilled chicken and it filled me up without the guilt and yucky feeling from eating at a typical fast food establishment. I received my food quickly despite ridiculous lines at the drive thru and inside. These employees know how to deal with a crowd and keep things moving with little to no loss in quality or service from what I can tell - they even brought my meal to the table! There is not much of a value menu here but I appreciated the quick service and a healthy option that didn't lack flavor. It's still fast food but gets the job done and sets the bar high for other chains in the area, especially for something on-post. read more

These reviews are harsh! Zaxby's on post at Benning is Awesome!! Eat Here!! I never leave reviews but wanted to give credit where credit is due. Some of these reviews are terrible and do not describe this Zaxby's location at all. This Zaxby's is the BEST we have eaten. The staff was kind and friendly. Was very impressed with the young man who was on duty as manager. It is rare to come across someone with manners these days and took time to listen to us and take care of us. The food was hot and fresh and YUMMY! (Kinda pricey, but all Zaxby's are) I wish they had a value menu. Not sure where all the negativity emits. Since our first visit to this establishment, we have returned MANY times, and it has become one of our favorite places to eat. I have yet to see the "dirty restrooms" and so forth. Each time we have been the restaurant has been clean, food fresh and fast, and hands down the friendliest staff. We have enjoyed seeing the friendly faces of your employees. Like I mentioned above, the young manager who always has such a happy face with his warm smile and manners and is also a Bama fan, can't beat that! Thanks, Zaxby's for all your yumminess and friendly, happy staff.
