I placed an over the phone order for my wife to pick up on her way home. I was blessed to get Kate on the phone, because she was an absolute delight. She helped me make a good decision for our dinner plans, talked me through some other menu options, and made the entire process really pleasant! My wife was able to walk in, grab our meal, and make it home with everything still being crispy and hot! She said that the staff was so friendly and welcoming. I come here for lunch on occasion, but I've never placed an order over the phone with them. I really enjoyed my experience and we will be adding Yardbirds to our regular eat out nights! read more

I love Yardbirds so much! We eat from here at least once a month, sometimes twice. We always call in our order and never have issues. Our order is ready right away and the kids that work there are always nice and respectful. We get 25 mild and 25 lemon pepper. If we are going to a friend's house, we get the wings and tenders platter and it's always a big hit. We tell everyone to go here. Such a local gem! read more

We have only been here once so far, but it's right down the street from where we live so we will be back. We got the combo with 8 wings and fries. They def have some good sauce, but the chicken was a little dry. We also got a side of moth sticks which were pretty good that was served with just pasta sauce that was in a package. Yard Bird use to be a great place to get a decent meal before they became so selfish with their portions. They where already ridiculous about sauces but now they have gotten worse. They expect you to order 25 wings and get 2 sauces. Now you can order 20 wings and 10 tenders with fries and get 4 sauces. REALLY!!!! They use to charge 25 cent for an extra but now its 75 cent. They have now cut their tenders in half so they a literally the size of a nugget... iF that. They have the best chicken tenders! My parents would drive from Montgomery to Phenix City to visit me, but they always suggested getting lunch or dinner there! I take chicken tenders home with me when I visit my dad. I also love their chicken salad plate and sandwich. My daughter likes the chicken wrap. Did I mention their slaw? It's heavenly!! I ate here last Saturday morning. I got the 25 wing for 17.99. The price was good and also the bbq sauce they use was perfect. Not sweet or too tangy but perfect. I usually order only drums but say there was almost a 3.00 up charge decided to just try the regular for my first time. When i got home to investigate the order the presentation for the wings were perfect. EXCEPT I had way more flats then drums. It wouldn't have been so bad if the flats were bigger then bite size. Should be called "Chicken Heads" The service there was completely awful! The waitress ran me into a table while i was pregnant and didn't say anything at all even after I made a comment about it. The men in the back were just standing around talking instead of cooking. The other women that work there just stare at you like they have nothing better to do or talk on their cellphones. I Order the wing and tender platter from here at least once a month or more. The wings I always order extra crispy, and they still are not as crispy as some my like. The tenders are the best around. I normally order the wings mild, then order the hot sauce on the side. Because my wife doesn't like hot food. I came to this restaurant at 4:42 and placed an order for a steak sandwich, a wing and chicken finger combo, and a chicken salad sandwich. I kept in mind that this was during the Iron Bowl, so I anticipated them being busy, which was cool. In the 39 minutes I waited, 14 people came and placed orders. No call-one, orders. All of them got their food and left. I then checked my bag and told them my chicken salad sandwich was missing. I waited another 10 minutes while the rude cashier went back and forth with the kitchen about this chicken salad sandwich I was missing. I then interjected and said "Tell them it's the chicken salad sandwich that was ordered 57 minutes ago!" And she turned her snappy self around and said "We have been really busy!" I said I've been patient, more than patient. I'm not even the type to pull the race card but I promise you she didn't speak to any other person asking about their food like that but me. I sent my husband to the car because he was ready to turn over all the tables and I was ready to help him! I literally sat there while a man ordered 4 combs and 3 appetizers and he left 15 minutes before me. We were the only African Americans that visited the restaurant within this hour time frame and I see why. The cashier went behind the counter and told the other girl something about me because she accidentally made eye contact with me before she handed me my food. I will NEVER visit them again. My food was ICE COLD. I debated on going back but my husband said they'd probably call the cops time I set foot in their! I'm sure they'll delete my post but you employees should be more considerate. If y'all were oh so busy, how'd your cook spend 20 minutes in the lobby watching the game with me? I tried this place a few weeks ago after hearing friends in the past say it was gooD. Obviously it has gone downhill since then. The lady working the cash register was a joke. She had no idea what she was doing working between the front counter and drive thru. Then, she and the lady in the back cooking were arguing with each other over being confused about orders. The place is small and they were being loud and rude to each other which was uncomfortable. There were only 2 other people in there waiting for food and I probably waited for at least 15 minutes. Also I was never given my drink cup so I had to go to the counter and get it myself in which the cashier saw me laughed and then said sorry. The food was ok but nothing to write home about.
