Stopped by Zaxby's in Chester, VA for the first time and ordered the Wings & Things meal -- 5 wings, 3 chicken fingers, fries, and toast. The wings were cooked perfectly crispy, but the lemon pepper had a little too much lemon for my taste. That's more about my choice than their cooking. The chicken fingers, though, were excellent -- definitely a 10/10. Fries were solid as well. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was welcoming. This was my first time trying Zaxby's. The fries were really yummy, and our food came out fast. We ordered two chicken sandwiches--one was great, and the other was just okay. The workers were nice and friendly, which made the experience better overall. I'd definitely try it again. read more

We should have paid attention to the 2 star rating & reviews before getting into this SLOW drive thru line. The parking lot was so packed that people were parking next door at Pizza Hut and walking over to order inside. We waited at least 40 minutes in total from the drive thru line entrance to picking up the food at the 2nd window. They have 2 drive thru lines, but only 1 was open. The order taker was rude and short. She had no customer service skills whatsoever & kept saying "WHAT" & "HUH" to everything we said. What in the world? The first window was closed, so when we got to the 2nd window and asked if we could add something, the cashier said, "No, not at the 2nd window". ?????? Well, which window could we do that in if the 1st one was closed??? They were scrambling, so I guess that was the excuse they used to move us along. They forgot our sauce & they were eating at the window. How unprofessional!!! They were out of ketchup too. We got our food, pulled off, opened the box, and the only fresh food item was the fries. We ordered Wings & Things with traditional sweet/spicy wings, and the chicken was old, dry, and cold! HOW when we waited so long & they had so many customers walking inside to order?? Makes no sense. The Texas toast was dry and cold, and didn't have much butter on it. I'm used to super buttery bread from them. This was like eating a saltine cracker. It was THAT dry. We will probably never go back. It's just not worth the parking lot drama or the length of time to wait on food just for it to be cold. The drive thru line was wrapped around the entire building. It had been a long day and the fam was starving. I stopped by and, as the line was long for drive through I went in. They were slammed in there too, and it's a new restaurant = new staff. Despite all that the service was great (really nice people working in there) and the food was hot and delicious. Would not recommend, the fries were dry ( I asked the person I was talking to for extra sauce), the salad that I ordered had spoiled lettuce. The wings I ordered had absolutely no flavor. When I opened my food there was a clump of cheese and fries stuck together. The service was also bad, the person that handed me my food threw the bag at me, overall this was a bad experience. Sorry but this store just opened just months ago. I went there at 12:20pm and dodged the drive thru traffic. Wow this place must be great!!! Nope- no dine in seating. I don't want to eat in my car. Nor fight long drive thru lines. Earth to Zavby: Covid is no longer an allowable reason not to behave dine in. You have had plent of time to staff one person to keep the table area clean. Your management is lazy. I turned around and went elsewhere. I urge others to do the same when they encounter lazy management and not allow in store dinning. read more

Takes too long to get your food, your better off driving down the street a 1/4 of a mile to Chick-Fil-A. The line will be twice as long and you'll get your food faster. The employees at Chick-Fil-A actually seem to like their job also. read more

Worst experience, the lady at the counter was so rude and quiet that I asked to speak up because I couldn't hear her, but she still wouldn't. After 25 min I finally got my food but the lady that delivered it just sat it down and walked away as I was calling for her to ask for a fork she kept walking so I walked up to the counter to ask for a fork and after that lady not paying attention to any of the customers walked by multiple times I noticed she's wearing in ear headphones (no wonder she didn't hear me ask for a fork. I'm giving this place no stars whatsoever. I have never made a YELP review but I was so dumbfounded with the experience I had here I had to say something... So I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich just the sandwich with a side of ranch and a water. That's it. I pull up to pay and the man tells me it's $9.31, when in fact the menu stated it was only $7.79 so I thought that's odd and questioned him about the price. He tells me the water is $3....I'm sorry, $3?!? For a water?!! So I ask him to please just remove the water because I'm not paying $3 for a water, that's insane. He answers me with "I guess I can try" im thinking to myself okay weird answer but thanks. It takes 3 people to get this water removed. The entire interaction was kind of passive aggressive like I was i weird for asking them to remove the $3 water. Anyways, So I pay and pull forward. I get my food and it's the entirely wrong order, also no napkins, and no ranch So I tell the lady this is the wrong order she takes it and I wait for the correct order, asking once again for a side of ranch. Finally get the correct order but still NO napkins or the ranch. At this point I'm just shaking my head like what is going on with this place. So I then have to go inside and ask for the ranch a third time. The entire experience was horrible, the staff was rude, and the food ended up being cold and disgusting. They need more management above the age of 20. The kids working their run it how they want to. Waiting 40 min for a kid meal is unacceptable. This location just recently opened. It is giving " chick fl a " vibes when it comes to how the place operates. I asked for a spicy chicken sandwich and 5 chicken fingers and they ended up giving me a regular sandwich with no chicken fingers. After waiting and going back and forth with the employees they still gave me boneless wings instead of tenders, and I am not even sure if what I was given was spicy or a regular sandwich.
