I went there to lunch with my family today. The food was delicious, but the service was AWFUL. I waited for my order to be taken while the restaurant was empty, only for the cashier to be rude. 100% by far the worst Zaxby's I've ever had. Stopped by with my family for dinner and after waiting 5 mins at the counter to order(nobody else in front of us) they took our order. Got our food to go and it was dry and terrible. The loaded fries were stale, had little to no dressing and none of the cheese was melted. Chicken bacon ranch quesadillas were the same, no melted cheese, terrible chicken and maybe 2 drops of ranch. The two chicken tender platters were the same. This Zaxby's is TRASH! We went to the drive thru and the guy taking orders rushed us through the whole order. He had us repeat it twice, and it was wrong at the window. When we brought it to their attention, they wanted us to drive around and sit in the drive thru line AGAIN to reorder. My son got out and went in with the wrong items and they made him pay again for the correct items and their screw up. No apologies were offered and the manager was rude. My son told them they gave him the wrong drink and they threw a cup at him and told him to get it himself. My daughter in law asked for the 6 bone in wings and they gave her 2 little boneless wings. When asked to fix that order, they gave us the same 2 boneless wing order. My son asked for a manager to rectify the screw ups, and they told him there was nothing they could do and wouldn't refund the second charge. This Zaxbys needs a whole new employment team or just close down. They're always getting orders wrong and being rude to customers. Before I left work, I looked and saw it was 20 minutes to Zaxby's, and their app said it would take 21 minutes to prepare my food. It sounded like the timing would be perfect. I placed my order at 5:09, and my food should be ready at 5:30. When I arrived, I went inside and there was a few people waiting, so I patiently waited until someone came over to help everyone. That took quite a while, and after around 10 minutes, I was told it was coming. I watched as other people came in, and left with their food, and after another 10 minutes was told it would be the next one. Looking around, there was no one left waiting for food, even everyone that ordered after I arrived. At 5:58 I finally got my order, but it was missing the Nibbler I ordered. Another 5 minutes for that, and I was finally on my way. Almost an hour from the time I placed my order, and over 30 minutes after I arrived, I finally had my food. Then, I get to my hotel, and see they didn't give me the "large" fries I paid for, and the strawberry cheesecake bites were a tad overcooked and cold. read more

The food was typical for Zaxby's. So no problems there. The service was so slow. Too many employees on "lunch/break" during high traffic time. They give you an app to order ahead yet time and time again whenever you arrive, the food still isn't done and they're servicing drive thru customers instead. Today was the final straw unfortunately. I placed an online salad order and it said done by 7:19. When I arrive, there was a sign saying dine in closed and mobile order come on in. The young lady refused to let me in and told me to use drive thru. I called and explained I had an online order and was in a hurry. She apologized and said none of the orders were ready but she would make mine quickly and to come in and wait. Her colleague still refused to let me in. When I called back to tell her this, she tells me it'll be brought out I sat past 8pm watching them take care of drive thru and no one still never brought my food. So I just left. I will not be back again. They are all young adults who are rude and lack major customer service skills. I try to stay positive that the next time I come to this location , my experience will be better. I ordered food for pick up on the app. I says I need to pick up my order inside the restaurant. I ordered wins and things, chicken finger tacos and a salad. I get to the restaurant, park my car and go inside to pick up my order, but the doors are locked. I can't see anyone to flag down so I get back in my car, get in the drive thru line, and wait my turn. I get to the speaker and say I am here to pick up an online order and I am told and drive around. Several minutes later an employee comes up to my window and says they are all out of chicken fingers and can only offer me a number 4. When I asked what the number 4 was she just repeated back to me that they were out of chicken fingers. I asked, even though i placed an online order more than half an hour ago? And she said all the online orders were cancelled and refunded. I did not receive any notification of my order being cancelled and refunded. I asked if I would be refunded and she responded that " you should get refunded". Didn't sound very convincing. In the first five minuets I witnessed two employees walk out and tell two cars behind me they were not taking anymore orders that they were closed. 10 minuets go by and it's my turn at the window as the car in front of me makes his order , through the drive through speaker, and pulls forward. I got to the window and was greeted with " welcome to zaxs" I politely greeted the employee and proceeded to place my order for food through the drive through, a four piece finger plate and a spicy signature club. Before I could finish my order the employee working the window cut me off and said "I am only taking orders online right now". Without any further explanation or attempt to maintain the sale. My wife and I frustrated to have watched a drive through order take place right in front of us moments ago,left and went to Arby's next door. As we successfully placed our order at Arby's and drove away I witnessed the cars that were behind us in the line at this zaxbys location, place their orders through the drive through. I called the location and asked if they were only accepting online orders and the employee advised me,no that they were just behind. When I told him what had happened he chuckled and apologized and advised he didn't know "why she keeps doing that". The closing manager / District manager need to have a serious discussion on productivity and professionalism. A simple explanation would have gone a long way to maintain this sale and increase productivity of your drive through. Overall I like the Zaxby chain itself & their food. Where I would say the problem is would be the employees. I've noticed at most locations they have a lot of high-school aged teens working for them. This steelecreek location is probably one of the worst regarding the teen workers. These teens are always joking & playing around in the back you can hear their conversations through the drive through speaker. They are constantly getting orders wrong & Their customer service factor is terrible. I'm not saying they should not hire young people, but I think management should do a better job supervising these teens to make sure they are representing the company correctly because no matter how much people might like your food, if the consistency isn't there & the customer service is poor....they won't be back. read more
