This was my 2nd attempt to give restaurant another try at a different location. I was the first person in my group of three to order and last person to receive my food. We got our food and it was warm but not hot. Didn't have utensils handed out with food...we had to ask. Not sure how we were supposed to eat otherwise. The food would have been better if hot not warm. The service from our waiter was just okay. The only good things about my experience at this location was the view and waitress named Teresa. She was inviting and kind. Oh and the man cleaning the dishesat the bar (tall black gentleman was really kind as well). I wrote a review maybe a year ago regarding Fort Mill location and management replied but NEVER followed through. I don't expect anything different from this review. Ok, it's Saturday, which is typically your busiest day for breakfast. I am a regular at this First Watch. The last couple of times we have gone to the restaurant between 8:15 - 8:45 and there has been no hostess to take us to a table. You need to ALWAYS have a worker at the front of the restaurant, either at the cash register or the hostess station. We had to wait several minutes. Poor management. I visited the steele creek location due to the high ratings I saw. The food was great. The server was friendly and answered all questions I had. Food and drinks did take a minute to come out however it was a busy sunday afternoon. Ok, this is my go to first watch . My husband died and i got a boho for my birthday. I asked the young lady if I could use the bogo and take one home for work the next day, fine she said.then i finished my brunch and she brought the bill and I asked again about the bogo and she said you want it to show on the bill? I said yes and she brought me a bill with two meal but no bag. I waited like 20 minutes and said , I am sorry, I think we had some confusion , I wanted one to go, am i getting the second meal. She huffed and puffed and said yes , it's coming. So another 15 minutes and she brings the bag and i said , I am sorry to annoy you and she says, yea, no problem. so I go to the cashier and she asks how everything was and I tell her the waitress seemed to have an attitude and she says "I'm sorry to hear that" lol. Everything to day is so rehearsed and customer service is dead. This is the first time I experienced this here. I wish I had not gone , i just wanted to feel better for my birthday when i had no one to dine with . So sad. This is the BEST First Watch in Charlotte! I've been going to First Watch for years and usually prefer the SouthPark location. After a few bad experiences at the newest location I gave this one a try. We went on a Sunday morning and were able to get a table quickly. The servers were pleasant and eager to make sure we had what we needed. I ordered my usual (the Tri-Fecta) and it was made to perfection. Even the potatoes which are usually either burnt or undercooked were perfect! Hubby tried the Floridian French Toast for the first time. We also ordered an additional slice of French toast, side order of chicken sausage and side order of potatoes. The extra side of French toast was not needed because the portion size of the Floridian FT is plenty. Our food was brought out quickly and no issues at all. My group of 8 (5 adults, 3 kids) checked in ahead of time to a 5-10 minute wait. When we arrived there was no line and were told it would just be a few minutes as they were waiting for a table next to the already empty table to leave. Within 10 minutes. There are two 4-tops next to each other open, the host team sat two parties of 2 at them. After another 20+ minutes we reluctantly opted to eat outside even though it was pretty windy, after being told it would be another 20 minutes likely. The host walked us passed 3 empty but not yet bused tables all in a row. When we finally sat down and ordered, our food all came out except one frittata that arrived 18 minutes after everyone else's plates. No apology or acknowledgement of the unacceptable time lapse. Truly one of the most frustrating and unacceptable experiences because it was all mismanaged and a lack of understanding of how to operate a restaurant and how to deal with customers. read more

I love the consistency in service, food quality and experience at First Watch. Staff is always smiling and courteous. The bathrooms are clean and the kitchen is open for inspection! So many families come through here it shows the trust they have for this location. I like to get the BLTE sandwich for breakfast, rather than the traditional breakfast items, I think it his better than some of the fancy breakfast items. The classic breakfast is my wife's goto selection and it never misses. When you order a side of bacon, you get a generous portion which makes the price reasonable. Went on Mother's Day - this was our first time at this location. The food was tasty and our server was very attentive. Giving three stars because several things were broken/dirty. The changing table in the women's bathroom was broken , and the high chair straps were broken. Our table was dirty and so were the coffee mugs. Chose to come here for last minute birthday breakfast. The first waitress assigned to us was on track to make a horrible experience for us so we took it upon ourselves to switch it up and I asked another server who was noticeably nice, smiling and happy if she would take over. Our morning went from..."let's go somewhere else" to "WOW! This is my new favorite breakfast spot." We had the pleasure of being served by Alura. She is amazing. Kind, patient, attentive, welcoming and a great improviser lol. She covered her assigned section but also catered to us sitting at the barstools making sure the cups never went empty and that we had everything we needed when the food came out and periodically after that. (*note: the bar isn't open yet but you can still sit there and be served. We did ask permission to move.) Since we had a birthday, I asked if they did anything to celebrate. It's a breakfast place so I wasn't expecting much, but Alura (on the fly) came up with the idea to bring out mini doughnuts and her and her coworker Lacey came out and sang. We had a birthday brunch! The food was great! The server was extremely friendly. Her name Aroura but she was stretched really thinly. I think they needed help. She was filling take out orders and trying to manage tables. Her smile and customer service out weighed where they fell short. We had to keep reminding her to bring silverware, coffee cups, creamers and water but she did the best she could with so much that she had going on. My Eggs Benedict was over cooked because my yolk was firm like a boiled egg. My oatmeal was prepared perfectly but the rest of the guests at my table were all pleased. In town for the weekend, and we decided on First Watch, as we're familiar w them from the chains near us in Michigan. My sister and Mom arrived right as I was leaving the airport, so I texted them my order, so the waitress (Amber), didn't have to wait on us. When I arrived I waited over 10mins before my sister was able to catch Amber's eye and flag her down so I could order a coffee. Food was brought shortly, by someone other than our waitress, and it was all good, except they forgot the jam that comes with the dish. I waited until I was nearly done with my meal (expecting that Amber would come check on us--she didn't), before finally flagging down another of the waitstaff. At this point Amber came over and asked what I needed. I requested jam, which I was then waited another five mins for, at which point I'd just given up and decided to finish my meal. I can't even think of how long it's been since I've had so inattentive and unfriendly a waitress/waiter. Brand new restaurant in Steele Creek. Second time coming, food is great, but management seems lacking. On this visit I ordered the Sweet Pecan Salad. It arrived with no chicken. We asked a server (not ours) for assistance and she said she would get our server. After about 5 minutes our server came back and apologized saying there was a new cook and somehow she had missed the chicken in the photo that they generated the food from. She brought the chicken in a bowl and it made the salad. Our server was very attentive and helpful, however others just seemed to be there but not present and willing to help. First Watch is a very popular breakfast and brunch spot that prides itself on fresh food, but for some reason I had never been, silly me. The modern environment and friendly service by Bhylasia made for a very pleasurable experience. For my first experience, I opted for the Traditional Breakfast which comes with 2 eggs (I got mine over med), potatoes and your choice of meat which in this case was turkey sausage. The eggs were cooked perfectly that allowed the silky yolk to slowly ooze out. The turkey sausage to my surprise were flavorful because if you know like I know, they can be quite bland. The potatoes were well seasoned with a slightly crisp exterior and soft interior. What I don't like is multi grain bread because it feels like I'm eating sand, but this bread was delicious. In fact, I wanted more but I'm trying to reduce my carb intake. Overall, a great first experience and will definitely be back in the very near future. If I had one knock on this experience, it's that it can get quite loud so keep that in mind if you're suffering from a hangover (get a delicious Bloody Mary) or wanting to have intimate conversation with your guests. read more

We had a great experience here! Came with my large family and I for brunch during a super busy time. There was a small wait, but nothing unexpected there and there's plenty of space to hangout/wait on benches out front. I had never been to First Watch before until now and am pretty surprised how good the food and service are, especially for a chain restaurant! We got 3 dishes: classic egg benedict, belgian waffle (pictured), and biscuit with turkey sausage gravy and side of home fries and eggs (not pictured because hubby's gotta eat lol). Everything was delicious! Egg benedict comes with tons of ham I could barely finish. The hollandaise sauce has a subtle flavor of lime juice. Waffle is bomb dot com. I've come here 3 times and got waffle every.single.time. Last but not least, biscuits and gravy was yum but I HAVE to talk about the home fries. It is SO good. I believe they pan fried the potatoes in onion oil or something so the fries is perfectly cooked with delicious onion flavor. I'm probably doing a terrible job of describing if but you just NEED to try the home fries uhmmkay?
