Wow, this location does not measure up to what I've come to expect at a Chick Fil A. I was able to find parking, no problem. Fourth in line, I moved along in good timing. The customer in front of me had left his receipt so I asked if he wanted it. The cashier than kind of matter of factly also offered it to him. So my turn to order. My usual order is the spicy chicken salad but with regular grilled nuggets. The cashier wasn't sure how to input that so the manager arrived to assist. I showed him my app and how it's one of my regular orders. Finally the order was placed. The scanner for the app and earning rewards is oddly placed on the side of the beverage dispensers. It was quite challenging to use. I paid for my order and no receipt. When I asked for one the cashier said it must be out of paper. And that's it! No attempt to get me a receipt. There was a line behind me so I didn't push for it. My order was delivered to the table and I noticed bacon on my salad. I approached the counter and asked the manager if the Southwest salad now came with bacon. He said no and a new salad was made. This was probably the worst ChickFilA experience I've ever had. There are always 6-8 Dashers standing there waiting for orders, and two lanes of drive-thru traffic wrapped around the building. And, oh by the way, dine-in customers also need to get their orders. This location needs a serious overhaul with employees! We pulled in at 8:55 and the door and online hours say they close at 10:00. Our family of 4 and another family of 2 were approaching the door, and an employee ran out and said "we're closed in the dining room, but you can go to the drive thru." When we questioned why the door said they close at 10:00 and it wasn't 9:00 yet, she rudely replied "well, we're closing the dining room so we can get out of here on time." This is NOT how Chick-Fil-A is supposed to treat customers. On top of that, it took us 20 minutes to get through the drive thru, and the staff inside were talking, laughing and taking their time to get orders to the window. I specifically asked for no ice in our drinks, and all 4 had ice. Many years ago this location used to be good, now a days slooowest location in town. Just had someone pick up and order for me while I ran some errands, my food got home, no sauces or ketchup, no straws, large fries box half way. Too many issues at this particular location but seems to be that owner operator doesn't care. Whew this drive-thru line takes forever. 35 minutes to get a salad. I mean the salad was good (even though they forgot my toppings ...croutons, dressing etc). Def not a quick meal. Inside says it's closed but I saw several customers go in and come out with food and drinks as I waited in the drive thru line so I'm not sure how they're operating. The guy who was taking my order stopped mid way because he saw his friend in the next line and he went to go chat and then came back. He apologized but still. I consider myself a full blown Chick-fil-A junkie and can confidently say that this location is nowhere close to performing at Chick-fil-A standards. I have been eating CFA since the 80's so have a great understanding of how the food should taste and be prepared. This location consistently serves cold food that doesn't even taste the way other locations do. I seriously don't even think the nuggets are the same. If it was a one-off; I'd think nothing of it but I've visited this location many times due to close proximity of where I work. The customer service is several steps below what CFA employees should be and the food is just straight up bad. We arrived with 4 mobile orders at the drive thru and the lady told us they were closed at 8:57. Their website says 10pm. She said we can try and go inside. Well we have been to Old Whitehall 2xs this week and rivergate last week . Order went thru on the app all 3 times we got there was told Ice cream machine is broke no milkshakes. Why do you allow to order on app then get there and it's broke. Take it off! Frequent this location often and very hit or miss. Sometimes their fast and other times they are extremely slow. Sometimes the staff is pleasant and give you the expected Chick-fil-A experience and other times they are oblivious to what's going on and some are just liars. My last visit, Thursday 9/16 was terrible. After waiting in the extremely long drive through line I was able to finally order. The girl asked me what I wanted to drink and I said sprite, she said we are out. I said ok, hi c fruit punch (mind you it's always flat but that's what came to mind first) and she said we don't have any soda, just tea, lemonade, water and frozen drinks. Sooooo why not lead with that? Anyways I got a tea and backed her up because I wanted to tell her I wanted to make my fries and drink a large and also my sauces. I paid and proceeded to wait for my food, I reach where the actual drive thru menu and intercom is. Here is where it gets interesting...an older lady runs out with my food. I see she is carrying a regular size drink. As she hands me my food I tell her I was supposed to get a large she said no this is medium. I said I know but I ordered large, she says "oh well it's a medium, here" and tries to walk a way. I called her back and said excuse me that was rude, she says "nothing I can do you already paid".....hmm what kind of Chikfila service is this. So I call her back again and say don't worry I'm going to call and complain and I ask her for her name. When I tell you she was stumbling so badly. She finally spit out Sophia. I immediately knew it was a lie. I let her go and I continue through the line until I see another worker who can verify her name. The worker says her name is Rosey...I knew it. I said she told me Sophia and the worker just laughed and nodded as if she knew what this women was capable of. When I look in my bag I realize that I did at least get a large fry but for my 12 piece nugget and large fry they only gave me one sauce and one ketchup packet. I also never received my receipt smh. Anyways, I immediately called the store and spoke to the manager, they don't even have a Sophia that works there. I'm waiting for the matter to be rectified once I return. By far the worst Chick-fil-A in Charlotte. Every time I come here I'm presented with some kind of issue. This morning I should have just kept it moving when I walked into customers highly annoyed and requesting a refund and returning their order but I wanted to give them the benefit of doubt. Another customer left without even getting her complete order and I noticed she was online filling out a customer experience survey. To start off Ashley taking the orders at the register skipped over me and took someone who was in the wrong place before me. I had a very simple breakfast order and the kitchen couldn't keep up. What I kept hearing shouted around was they needed eggs. My order didn't have eggs. I order 4 chicken minis and an order of hash browns. I waited over 15 minutes for my order. Additional most of the employees have no customer service skills. I'm not sure what the protocol is at this location is but they are not customer first. I looked on the app to see who the owner/operator Peter Cestrone was and I've never seen him in the store. He needs to step foot inside and see what us customer deal with when we visit his Chick-fil-A. Laura the person bagging the orders was very rude to several customers. She kept walking to the drink dispenser where I was and mouthing her personal complaints with the kitchen and looking to me making me feel very awkward. Probably the worst location I've been to. This was my second time going and I was disappointed again. I ordered my food 10 minutes before my arrival and received it 15 minutes after clicking "I'm here" ... this location does not believe in urgency. Unsure what happened today at Chick-fil-a, I placed a mobile order. It was a Chick-fil-a sandwich with tomato and lettuce. To my surprise when I opened my box there was a bun, lettuce, pickles and tomatoes. Where was the chicken-the person at the counter looked at my box and was surprised as I was. The manager an older female was giggling and said to the cooks, " just get a piece of chicken". The manager could use some growth in her customer service and managing skills. They are perfectly capable of opening their dining room and relieving some of the traffic in the drive-through. I do not see any value in waiting 40 minutes for a chicken sandwich. They are simply using Covid as an excuse not to open their dining room because drive-through customers are easier to serve and mean a higher level of profit for the restaurant. I don't mind anyone making money but, I should receive some value in return. Is this the best they can do? Is this restaurant so poorly run that they have to make up for lost profit by offering less for the same price? Is this how they see us? Moreover, I'm visiting from out of town so I'm not sure if the quality standard here is generally lower across the board than other places? That said, I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich meal and what I received was not good. First, my fries were all in tiny pieces like what you'd find when there's no fries in the hopper. Second, my chicken sandwich bun was rock hard like the bread was over toasted or sitting out exposed to the open air all day long. Judging by the overall rating of this location, I'm assuming this is the norm? I know one thing, I don't think I will come back and I will certainly not bring any colleagues here. read more
