Mac n cheese
Sam K.

I had a wrap and ordered the Mac n cheese as my side. When I got to my hotel and ate my meal, I had the unfortunate discovery that the Mac n cheese was actually just noodles with a small amount of cheese drizzled on top. I even turned the cup it was served in upside down on a plate and sure enough the noodles that weren't on top were completely bare and had no cheese whatsoever on them. I basically just got cooked noodles with nothing on them. The wrap was fine, but man what a rip off to just serve plain noodles.

Small bowl with Shrimp, protein noods, veggies, and CE Buffalo sauce.

Healthy Food, Friendly Staff, and convenient to where I was working made this for a nice, quick stop for lunch. The Protein Noodles were interesting sounding and the girl working talked me into trying them, and I took a risk and liked them (I'm not overly picky or anything). Did I mention the staff was friendly and helpful? I'd probably get the Medium or Large Bowl next time as the small didn't totally satisfy my appetite. They also have salads, wraps, grab n go meals, and other stuff as well. I was in a hurry during my visit and didn't photograph too much. But with a lack of options in the area for healthy stuff (at least when I searched), this may be a repeat visit for me. Even when the name looks like Arse!

Sydney took amazing!! She took her time and explained everything to me in quick detail from the meal preps, the grab and gos all the way to the hot foods. I got the build your own bowl with the protein noodles, salmon, veggies and topped off with the Thai peanut sauce... MAN!!! It was soo good, I was almost embarrassed to eat in person of looking too sloppy. Lol. To my excuse I hadn't eaten all day and Sydney definitely made a lasting impression and formed a long time union with me and Clean Eatz!!! MAKE SURE TO TRY IT MY VEGAN/PESCATARIAN LOVERS!! You will not be disappointed AT ALL!! 5 PLUS stars review! Also if you come to this location, make sure to tell Sydney hello!! : ) 10/24: Came in the following day for a smoothie and Sydney was there again to save the day. She suggested the amazing Yo Yo berry with the vegan protein... I advised you guys when I get great service along with good food and amazing relationships bond, I'm sold!! I'll be back tomorrow after workout!! Lol

Chicken wrap and orzo salad
Megan P.

I went here for lunch. It wasn't busy I was able to walk in and order with no problems and no wait. It took me a minute to look at the menu because they had so many options for healthy eating. I ended up getting a chicken wrap and it came with a side which you can choose. I choose the orzo salad which I enjoyed and a infused water drink. The chicken wrap was good. They had a variety of things at this location they had coolers with prepackaged meals for individuals and family size meals for customers to take home. They had meals like pasta, pizza and other other options. I thought this was a great idea. And they had about 4-5 coolers with meals in them for you to choose from. I will be coming back to check out the rest of the menu.

Tried it and I AM GLAD I DID! Here, you can have a wrap and a healthy side and not have the "itis" for the rest of the day! The cool thing about this place are he grab-n-go meals that are prep'd and ready for purchase. Granted, you will still require a microwave to get the to-go meal hot and ready but it beats a frozen bag of over-frozen items. Besides, the wait isn't long during the normal weekday rush (11am-12pm) so you're in and out if you want to just order something from the menu! AND if you're not one for meal prepping your lunch for the week, you can just pay them to do it and pick all your lunches up from them, Viola! The only drawback is the lack of organization when it comes to ordering. But they're still a little new to the scene, so I'm sure they'll get this figured out sooner or later.

Brown rice bowl with mushrooms, red onions & shaved brussel sprouts and a cilantro lime dressing

So today I was thinking I'm hungry but I need it to be really simple. I just want good food that won't break my pockets. Hmmmmm....does a place like that exist? Absolutely it does, and it's called Clean Eatz! When I walked in, I saw a very simple menu there were two fit looking guys at the counter. The guy that took my order was playful (which I enjoyed) especially since I am meat free & gluten free. I decided on a small bowl with brown rice, shrimp, shaved brussel sprouts, red onion & mushrooms with cilantro-lime dressing. After paying for my food he gave me a cup with ice and a number table topper that had a really cool fit tip. As I sat and waited there was infused water, plain water & lemonade for me to choose from. I also noticed a wall of refrigerators with pre packaged meals, including breakfast ranging from $5. That's cool! I also noted that they brought me my food in a need like tin that was simple & easy to carry. The food was tasty & uncomplicated. Sometimes that's all I'm in the mood for. I will be returning soon.

Never again! I got frikin robbed at this place. Great concept terrible terrible execution. So I come past this place all the time and decided to give it a try after work. So I order the build your own bowl (large) with dry bison, a pinch of shredded beef, mushrooms, soggy old tomatoes, half coooked crisp spinach and a table spoon of cauliflower rice. ‍ I spent nearly $16 for the worst portion sized meal & can't even swallow it. Please don't waste your time and money here. It's a scam! I don't post reviews this harsh but something has to be done with there kitchen. Which is the bread and butter of any eatery. *Front costumer service was fine. The rice is what pissed me off portion size is a fucking mess. Here's a pic. (btw I DID NOT touch this or eat when taking the pic.

I'm BACK! Always stop here while I'm in town to grab a bowl of cauliflower rice and salmon! They now carry energy drinks! I grabbed a few cans of C4 to try. Since I enjoy their other products. I also tried the buffalo cauliflower with ranch and yum. Definitely has a kick!

I'm so used to being out of town and having to eat horrible and mess up my routine. This place made it possible to stay on track and eat healthy! It is clean eating!

I have yet to actually try my meals so why I'm giving them four stars... I'll update next week. Anyways, walking in there are coolers on the right which are your grab and go meals. We came for the first time and per the website we came to those first. However, there seemed to be some confusion about the lines, and where to order. I'm not sure I'm correct, but this is my take. Register on the left, by smoothie machine is for dine in, there really should be a sign. If there is a sign, it isn't obvious, or I'm oblivious... not sure. Anyways, we get 10 meals & order lunch. He got the burrito bowl, and I get the wrap myself thin. His burrito bowl was massive. Apparently, they are all the same size. The small, medium, and large indicates amount of protein that's in each bowl. He ordered the medium chicken. It comes with three options he picked black beans, edamame, and Brussels sprouts. There were a lot of sauce flavors to pick from, he went with the teriyaki. I ordered the thin wrap with chicken, guacamole, and cheese. It was good af! It was packed when we came in, and stayed steady till we left. They make it through the lines quickly so even if there is confusion your totally gonna get served quick. There is water, lemonade, and infused water set out. I don't know If this is extra, I brought my own water bottle. Give this place a shot, I hope to see more locations pop up with how people are watching what they are eating, and concerned about what is put in their bodies. I've tasted a few meals from co-workers & im pretty excited. I'll update my review next week after we start getting more into the menu, and pick up. I have high hopes tho!!

Yep!

I liked this place! I love the concept. It's clean food at reasonable prices. The menu is simple and refreshing. They offer sandwiches, snacks, wraps, flatbreads, and even burgers! But that's not all they also have a Meal Plan option available. Basically, they email you the menu and you chose what you want for the week. Just submit your order by Sunday night and pick it up on Monday. Not to mention they are freshly prepared AND perfectly portioned meals. I'm in. I plan to place an order soon so I'll probably do an update on my thoughts after that. But yesterday, I stopped in for lunch and ordered the Thai Wrap. You get a choice of three sides either a side salad (with low fat dressing), yogurt parfait or fresh veggies. I chose the side salad. By the time I remembered to take the picture, most of my food was gone. So I obviously enjoyed it! But I did manage to get a great shot of goodies and fresh veggies. The Thai wrap comes with chicken, cabbage, carrots, edamame and spinach with a Thai peanut sauce. I really enjoyed it! It was super filing and I didn't have to feel bad about making an unhealthy choice! Overall, I'm excited this place is around to give me an alternative choice for lunch. I'm looking forward to coming back!

Shredded beef nachos

Since I am trying to eat healthier Clean Eatz seemed like the place to go to. And it was worth it! Their food is very good. The prices are not expensive and they give you a drink with your food. The serving size is good as well. I looked at other reviews and pictures of what I ordered and their pics were not accurate. There was a lot more food. I ordered the shredded beef nachos. It had sweet potato fries with shredded beef, bell peppers, and red onions on top. It also had guac and salsa on the side. It taste so good. They also had options that you could grad out the fridge to buy. Love this place!

Optimist Hall itself is a very food-centric, upscale food hall with a ton of vendors, so the atmosphere is energetic and fun. Seating can be a little challenging during peak dinner hours since so many people are grabbing food from different spots, but when the weather is nice there's plenty of outdoor seating. Harriet's keeps their burger formula refreshingly simple. It's a classic smash burger done right--made to order with a straightforward menu that doesn't overcomplicate things. There's usually a line, but it moves pretty quickly, and the burgers come out hot and fresh. One of the best parts of eating here is the flexibility of the food hall experience. While you're waiting, you can grab a craft beer, a glass of wine, or even browse for dessert from one of the other vendors. Insider tip: Come with a group if you can. It's a great place to share fries and let everyone explore different vendors around the hall. Parking is fairly easy with the nearby garage, which makes the whole experience even more convenient. Overall, Harriet's is a fun, delicious stop for a smash burger, especially if you're already enjoying the energy of Optimist Hall.

I live super close to Optimist Hall, so it's been on my radar for a while. This particular night I wasn't feeling great, so I DoorDashed instead of dining in. I ordered the Royale with crispy fries and let me just say... I get it. The burger was genuinely impressive. The quality of the beef stood out immediately. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The meat to bun ratio was spot on, which is crucial. Nothing worse than a bread heavy burger. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh, the build was balanced, and even after delivery, everything held up beautifully. So far I've tried two burger spots in Charlotte, and this one takes the top spot. I'm not ready to declare it the best in the entire city just yet because my burger tour is ongoing, but right now it's leading the race. I'll definitely be going to Optimist Hall soon to try it fresh off the grill and experience the service and atmosphere firsthand. Expect an update. But based on this first round alone, Harriet's is absolutely worth the order. Burger lovers, this one deserves a try.

As a West Coast transplant now living in Charlotte, I have very specific standards when it comes to…read moreburgers. For me, the gold standard isn't fancy -- it's balance. Think that perfect meat-cheese-bread ratio you get at an In-N-Out: not too big, not too messy, not dripping everywhere, but still juicy and satisfying. A burger you can actually pick up and enjoy without resorting to a knife and fork like George Costanza. That's why I appreciate Ace No. 3. Their menu is refreshingly simple -- burgers, fries, shakes -- and that simplicity tells me they know exactly what they do well. Everything is made to order, and the consistency shows. The Ace burger is my go-to, and it delivers every time. The shoestring fries are excellent, and the sweet potato tots are another favorite. I've also treated myself to a milkshake here and there, and they're worth it. Fun bonus: they offer "boozy shakes" for adults, which adds a playful twist -- just note they have to be enjoyed on site. They also keep a short, rotating list of beers, which I appreciate. It's curated, not overwhelming. One thing I noticed recently -- and as a fellow marketer, I have to applaud this -- is their milkshake happy hour from 2-4 PM. That's a smart strategy to drive traffic during slower hours between lunch and dinner. Simple, effective, and well executed. A few practical notes: Parking can be a little tight because the lot behind the restaurant is small, but if you go during off-peak hours or order ahead for pickup, it's manageable. The Belmont neighborhood location is easy to get in and out of, and while it's not a high-traffic pedestrian area, that can actually work in your favor. Bottom line: As someone who grew up with West Coast burger culture, this is the closest I've found in Charlotte to that classic, satisfying bite -- even if it costs a bit more than In-N-Out. The quality and execution make it worth it. Get out there, eat well, be curious -- and follow me as I continue eating my way through Charlotte.
