Horrible... absolutely horrible. In my opinion, either the fryer oil isn't being changed regularly, or the chicken is being fried twice. I asked them to remake my chicken sandwich, but the replacement came back looking the same as the first one. Whew, this salad was humongous!!! Tasty, cooked well and very filling. It's hard to stick to a diet while traveling (especially in Louisiana) but I did the best I could. First time at a Zaxby's. Not a fan. Got their signature sandwich. It was drowning in the special sauce such that the roll became soggy and it overpowered any other flavor -- to include the chicken. We did the drive-thru, and by the time we got back to eat it (10 mins) the fries were cold and soggy and the slaw was no longer chilled (NOTE: Of course they were. I don't care what other people say about this chain, it's one of my favorite places to go to. They just have a lot of options and flavors and all of them are so good no matter which Zaxby's you go to. I recommend this to everyone who haven't experienced it and decide for yourself. read more

When I take time around noon, the height of lunch hour, and sir in a 10+ deep car line going thru the drive through, I expect piping hot chicken fingers and even hotter French fries. I had no idea that you guys cook a boat load of fries and chicken fingers at 10 am because my fries and chicken fingers were warm, not hot but warm. How is that possible? I am expecting to burn my mouth on hot fries and my food is like you already blew it cool for me. Unacceptable. 10+ deep car line at noon and my food was warm at best. You clearly value speed to clear the drive through line over quality. I came home which was a 20 minute drive to microwave my lunch. It just did not taste worth nothing. So I ate enough to kill the pains and tossed the rest. Can't come back that way during lunch rush hour. So disappointed. read more

Fast food that is mainly focused on chicken. I mean, they have salads that look huge, but fried chicken is their thing. The interior of the restaurant was clean and neat. The staff seemed way too excited to be there. The chicken strips seemed a bit overcooked, the mushrooms a bit too overbattered, but overall it was good. Quick food that did not totally upset my stomach. The sauce was pretty darn good. The sweet tea was not too sweet. I will be back when I am in the area. Which may be sooner than I hope for. They don't have any locations near where I live, but who knows, they may come sooner than later. read more

I like this place even it's fast food. Their menu is kinda little bit different but in good way. They have some special spicy sauce that perfect for someone loves spicy. Never had a disappointing meal til August 15th, I got the fried pickles and a chicken tender kids meal. Fried pickles tasted like burnt oil and so did the fries. Tenders were so/so. Spent nearly $10 oh and because the food tasted like burnt oil, my soda tasted awful after eating the food. Not sure why their food tasted like burnt oil but won't go back for a while, hope they clean oil soon. My son and i went there yesterday. We had spicey mushrooms, onion rings, chicken sandwhich fries 2 pops i forgot what he had. I shared my onion rings and spicey mushrooms with him. I have to give it a 4. They gave my sons tray to another person. Some of the food was highly salted. I did see sonething good about the place. Airmen come there to eat. Zaxby's They hire immature kid that don't take their job seriously on two different occasions I have to constantly repeat myself and the kids thinks it's a joke when you get on to them about their customer service skills. I will never return the Zaxby's on Benton Road and East Texas Street When I requested the mgr she is put away hiding in a office she really need to watch her rude employees and be more interested when a guest place a legitimate complaint. Finally getting the chance to come eat here. I've had zaxbys a few times before just not at this location. Let's go ahead and address the obvious, everyone will compare this to Canes, similar concepts. Whereas Canes focuses on just their tenders and sauce, Zaxby's offers a bit more variety. This location is clean, staff friendly and speed of order fairly quick. Let's hope it stays this way. Suppose my only issue comes with the brand as a whole, not the location. Menu seems all over the place with overzealous use of "Z's". Son had chicken tenders , cooked perfectly but honestly seasoning of breading is bland. I ordered the kickin chicken sandwich and it was drenched in watery buffalo/ranch sauce which overpowered everything , leaving the chicken as a side note. Fries are a larger crinkle cut and unfortunately take on a soggy/greasy flavor , which is common when frying so much. Overall however, it wasn't bad at all, I left full and satisfied. I welcome the variety (something I wish Canes and Chic fil a would do more often). My son enjoyed it which with his being picky these days is a major bonus. Check this place out, try some different items and take it at face value , it's worth the trip. read more

After seeing a billboard on the loop we decided to stop in for lunch. The location we visited on Benton road looked brand new and as we walked in the place had that new smell on the inside and the smell of fried chicken on the outside. I had the blackened Cajun chicken sandwich and my wife and daughter had the five finger plate. The food was delicious and the dipping sauces were tasty. i think the gal that waited on me/my granddaughter is "Jackie B" (on receipt). she makes this place the best zaxby's west of the mississippi... and maybe east too. she's friendly, helpful, smart, attentive, energetic..... and good-looking too! food (zalads),as always, was great. and she changed the tv channel so we could watch brady win the superbowl ...while we enjoyed our supperbowls ! we'll bee back. -------- fast forward to 5/2/19---------/been back several times since original review. I was out driving and my husband sends me a text to stop at zaxbys for dinner ... what a great idea. We ordered a 6 finger plate with Diet Coke Ranch dressing and pasta salad also a 4 finger plate with Coke . It was fast and friendly service in the drive thu however when I got home they didn't include the ranch dressing and we didn't have any in the fridge. No dip for that chicken. Compared to Raising Canes, they're pretty good. Both are very different from each other. I can't choose one over the other. They both have coleslaw and to me both are quite dry. But that's my opinion. I must say that compared to Raising Canes, Zaxbys have way more things on their menu. There's chicken strips, buffalo chicken wings (bone-in), chicken salad, chicken salad sandwiches, appetizers such as: fried cheese balls, fried mushrooms, and homemade potato chips. Sorry Canes, but Zaxbys just have more choices. They also have flavors for their chicken plus their own chicken dipping sauce and COOKIES!!! I will say that as of now I will say that Zaxbys has my vote so far. I've been there 4 times in like 2 months and Canes...well it's been at least a year since I've been there. So far Zaxbys is winning my vote. I can't really say which have the better prices because by the time you're finished ordering you've spent close to, if not over $10.00 at both places. Under that you may as well order from the kids menu, and you still may end up spending over $5.00 and then you'll be saying to yourself, "Damn, I could have gone to the adult menu if I was going to spend this much." This people doing everything wrong after they gave me the wrong order I drive back and let them know my order is not correct, I receive another order as I'm walking away the second order was incorrect again as the cashier chuckles the manager is walking by and I had to call him and tell him what happen, then as I'm very upset and ask for my money back he tries to talk me into waiting again to make my order! After I repeat it my self numerous times that I just wanted my money and leave then he says they can make the food and next time I pass by ITS ON THE HOUSE!!!
