It's was made to my Specifications, I choose no special sauce but mustard instead, was double wrapped, was still warm and it wasn't messy, not overloaded with lettuce. Original fry sauce is the best, and the jalapeño sauce isn't too bad either. They also offer frozen custard, which is great as well. The service has always been nice every time I've gone. To add to all of this, they have the story of Freddy, the founder, all around the restaurant. On Mondays, active servicemen can get a discount (Military Mondays). Really the only downside to this place is that they don't have coke, but I personally do not care because it is very much made up for.

I mean I can only assume that this place is always this exciting.  First, there was a guy trying to holler at a girl in a red car (seriously, does this ever work out for you?).  I mean maybe that is the way to pick up a girl from the Whataburger parking lot. Maybe that's what Whataburger girls dig. I dunno, I've never had to try that.  Then there was an interaction between a lady in a truck and the lady working the drive through lines. The employee went to verify the truck lady's order and it didn't match up.  So, the employee lady told the truck lady that she had got into the wrong line. To which the truck lady said, "No I'm not in the wrong line, the guy who took the order didn't say what line to get in."  The employee lady stuck to her guns and said "Yes they did. You're in the wrong line".  The truck lady then said "Did you just call me a bitch-ass?!"  The employee lady said "no ma'am I did not". But the truck lady said "Yes you did".   (I'd like to offer an interjection here from this unbiased onlooker...the employee absolutely did not call the truck lady any names. I heard her call her ma'am, but maybe here in Louisiana ma'am means bitch-ass. To be safe I will not call anyone ma'am until I'm out of the area.) The interaction went on for a few more minutes, but man I wish it would have gone on for hours. Finally the truck lady got her order and left. Then it was my turn to have my order verified. It didn't match up. I was in the wrong line. Seriously, how do you know what line to get in? Maybe put up some pictures, or diagrams, or signs. The fries, usually fresh, felt like they had been sitting up awhile. The chicken, usually moist, was dry and over cooked and tasted like it had been cooked in old grease. Not to mention they didn't give me all the wings that come with the meal. If I'm paying 18-20 dollars for a meal I expect the order to be correct. My drink was lacking flavor and i tasted more tap water from it than the HI-C. Lastly, to circle back to the slow service. When I get to the drive through window I see they have enough staff but most of them were just standing around. I'm writing this review, not to bash on Cane's but to hopefully remind the management of why I like it so much. And if you can't do what you're good at good anymore then you're going to further push away your base.

I decided on the jumbo hamburger with fries on the side, no mustard. Ketchup, pickles and lettuce. It too a few to get the food. You are given a receipt and on the receipt is a number, they call your number and your food is ready for pickup. The burger was ok, the bread was stale which killed the sandwich. I think fresh bread is essential to a good sandwich. The fries were crispy and needed ketchup and salt. In the restaurant there is a small bar offering condiments, napkins, and drinking straws. I ordered root beer which was good. For a quick meal at a good price Griff's hits the spot. Be aware jumbo isn't really jumbo. The burger reminded me of frozen patties from Costco you can cook on the grill quick.
