I questioned the waiter, asking for more information about why they couldn't fulfill an order I've been making every time I've gone in over the last six years, but he didn't have an answer, which I don't blame him for. My brother and I decided to leave, and one waitress came out and tried to get us to come back in and said she'd make it right, but my brother had already left, and I was already over it. I was fine with it and would have gone back in a few weeks, but then I received a phone call this afternoon from one of the owners, Santino, who basically told me that if I couldn't order from the menu, I shouldn't go back. He was incredibly rude, abusive, and unprofessional, and he made the situation worse than it needed to be. If this had been the first time I had ordered off menu, and they couldn't do it, it would have been no big deal in the first place. But I have been ordering this same meal every single time I've gone in for 6+ years. If you don't want to or can't accommodate special requests, make that clear on the menu. But don't make a loyal customer feel like crap for doing something that has never been a problem before.
