Cote was one of the highlights of our trip! The food was exceptional from start to finish. I had the Mediterranean pasta, which was bursting with fresh flavors--tender artichoke hearts, briny olives, and beautifully ripe tomatoes fresh from their garden made every bite memorable. My husband ordered the chicken, and it was cooked to absolute perfection--juicy, flavorful, and expertly prepared. My husband and I wanted a date somewhere we hadn't been before. The food was absolutely amazing! We had the lobster bisque with lots of lobster meat in it, shaved truffle fries, osso buco that fell off the bone, brussel sprouts, and green beans. Each bite was delectable. Definitely save room for dessert! The blackberry cobbler was delicious. The bartender, Trevor, made drinks that were both airy and refreshing from a chocolate martini espresso to a blackberry lemonade. The owner even made sure that we were enjoying our meal. We celebrated an early Mother's Day at Cote (High Hill Farms). What a wonderful place to visit! About an hours drive from Palestine, but well worth the trip. We were greeted by Sharron (owner) as we arrived and seated outside, per our request. Everywhere you look, the views were beautiful, and the food was terrific! We started with the assorted cheeseboard. It probably had 4 different kinds of cheese and different crackers/bread. Very Good My wife had the Chicken cordon "Green". The chicken breast was stuffed with Monterey Jack and turnip greens, served with mashed potatoes and root vegetables. Tasty I had the Double Bone-In pork chop, served with greens Italino and a twice backed potato. Very Good To top it all off we shared some blueberry and dark chocolate Bread Pudding. That is a strange sounding combination, but it works! Works very well !!!!! While we were leaving, we met Chef John Novak then Sharron gave us a brief tour. We stayed at cabins for my birthday! We had dinner last night! Richard took great care of us! Best jalapeño margarita I have ever had! I had the Australian lamb!!!! . We just had brunch !!! The Denver omelette was delicious and we shared the chicken and waffles! 5stars!!! read more

We have a new favorite place! Wow! Really worth the short drive out to Arp, TX. Cote is the amazing restaurant at the resort, High Hill Farms. We are thankful to have an upscale escape in East Texas. I'm assuming, it is because this place is so new that I had not heard about it until recently. Someone described it to me as, "it's too good to believe we have something here this nice in East Texas". I now see why they said that. After meeting owners, Jason and Sharon, it was obvious how this happened. They have set the standards extraordinarily high and have brought in only the best to create this hidden gem. Warning: Long Review...Wow...simply WOW! We randomly chose to enjoy a personal retreat from our him in NC and found High Hill Farm to spend a luxurious 3 nights. The allure of the pictures and mention of a fine restaurant hooked us, and what a fantastic choice we made!! What an inviting, warm, friendly and relaxing environment we have discovered! And dinner last night? Cote' did not disappoint in ANY way. I enjoyed a fabulous fresh peach margarita and my husband enjoyed a perfectly made Manhattan. The lobster Mac & Cheese is the best I've ever had, the yummy salad was perfect and my special Beef Wellington with a side of greens and chipotle chili potatoes (that are crave-worthy) was all delicious. The Pinot noir that was paired with my meal was chosen by the chef and was the perfect accompaniment. My husband seconded my praise with his own stellar meal of perfectly cooked beef tenderloin served with broccolini and a never-had-before basil bread pudding that was melt in your mouth magically delicious. We were so full, yet did not want to miss the featured peach bread pudding so enjoyed as much as we could and took a doggy bag back to our High Hill "home". The service provided by Kate was professional with excellent timing and thoughtfulness. We are thrilled that we have two more nights at High Hill Farm and can hardly wait to enjoy dinner at Cote' again tonight and a dinner featuring Philley Peaches for each course our last night. My husband and I hosted his birthday dinner at Cote this weekend and had a fabulous time! The property is simply beautiful and immaculate. Our group of 18 was making plans to return, before we even left! We spent the night in the Southern Bungalow and enjoyed leisure brunch the following morning. The beds were amazingly comfortable! Stay for brunch and enjoy the breakfast enchiladas... YUM!! Our little girls and parents joined us for brunch and the girls ran around outside for hours. You will not be disappointed!! read more
