Have to say El Santito, is a charming yet edgy place to have some delicious food. Truly, great and attentive service. The Mexican American plates are fresh and tasty. The ingredients speak for themselves. The service was fast and we had a great time. Almost like they knew me my whole life. We ate there for the first time this week. The best Mexican Restaurant in the area. Everything was made from scratch. The service was great.

I don't remember if we took a while to browse the menu (this was our first time) but our food arrived at 5pm. I ordered the : "BIRRIA TACOS MEXICAN #39 ($16) Three yellow corn tacos dipped in birria juice, stuffed with birria beef, cheese, onions, and cilantro then grilled to crisp. Served with mexi- rice and charro beans" they were fantastic. So good!! As usual I was not able to finish and boxed my leftovers. When I received the check- my meal was priced at $13 (maybe priced for lunch?) I don't know. But it didn't hurt my feelings. Anyhow. It was a pleasant visit. Until the next table came in and was sat right directly beside us. Despite the empty room. Oh well. I definitely recommend!!

Second time I got chicken lunch fajitas which was nice though for some reason all these types of restaurants are stingy when you say "no beans, double rice" they just give a single serving of rice. I don't like refried beans. The decor is definitely unique and a nice departure from the more 80s hokey mexican restaurants that seem to get all their furniture from the same supplier (or estate sales of closed competitors). I like the variety of options on the menu and how they're organized by region. A coworker of mine said the Venezuelan offerings are the expensive types of food. I find myself more curious about the other offerings on the menu more than I typically do at other places which makes future visits more exciting. I'm reserving the fifth star for my next visit when I order a taco salad. If anything the taco salad is how I rate and conpare each latino themed restaurant. How the beef is seasoned and what toppings are included are major factors.

I'm so grateful that Yelp led us here!…read more Fleur Deli is located inside of BonTemps gas station right off of Hwy20 and is definitely NOT your average gas station food! They have a good selection of burgers, sandwiches, wrap & po'boys to choose from along with sides. They also have a counter with some house made ready to go food. I even saw a big pot of gumbo. I got a TURKEY BLT with no cheese. It comes on a fresh jalapeño cheddar bread that was not spicy - just very good. The turkey was shaved turkey with a healthy topping of bacon & lettuce. The BLT spread seems like a mayo spread with chopped bacon, tomato, & herbs. It was really light and good. My husband loved his SHRIMP PO BOY. He said the breading on the shrimp was delicious & bread was good. Our only regret was not getting fries or onion rings to try. There are several tables to eat inside and a couple right out front. There appeared to be several locals coming in to pick up food while I was waiting about 10-15 minutes for our food. I would highly recommend stopping here to eat vs your average gas station or fast food.

The PoBoy was nice size and full of popcorn shrimp. The bun was decent. For a quick bite right off the road I will say that the seating area was very comfortable and very clean. I asked for extra napkins-never came. I ordered redfish Roja which was listed as coming with avocado salad or broccoli; I ordered broccoli. This was mentioned several times. By this point, my boyfriend was diving into his ribeye fajitas (saw an excess of fat on steak)-and because it took so long to place initial order; I opted to say nothing for fear of flustering him? We waited for the check and when boyfriend showed me the amount - over $105 for 2 entrees and 2 zero alcohol beers and asked if it looked right?, I about lost it!! Uh nooooo, by about 50% overcharged!! Then they had to go through the menu together and waiter finally adjusted. Fish and rice were ok but salsa was lacking seasoning IMO, and I was very disappointed !!
