I'm not one to usually rate fast food, but the rating of this Zaxbys made me sad! It feels very under appreciated. When I came here, it was clean, welcoming, and the food was great! The usual problem that I run into with Zaxbys is how salty their chicken tenders usually are, but it wasn't the case at this location. I always get wings and things (boneless) hot honey mustard. The only thing I would change is adding more hot honey mustard sauce on my boneless chicken. The toast was buttery and fluffy. I enjoyed their sweet tea as well. read more

I pulled up to the window and after "can I take your order" I said, "can I get the wings and things combo with boneless wings, wimpy sauce on the wings and extra zaxby's sauce for the chicken" there was a long pause .. and she said "I'm sorry, i got a boneless wing meal with zaxbys sauce?..." My dad and I stopped here to get food. Shakeria took our order didn't even look like she wanted to. Then instead of giving us our drinks she walks away complaining she's ready to leave and asking where night shift was at. We waited for over 30 mins for our food when there were stacks of boxes of food waiting to be bagged and no one bagging them and people waiting on their food. After I requested a refund they ignored that and proceeded to start bagging food since everyone in the lobby was complaining why no one was bagging the food. They didn't give me my money back and hands me my order finally and the food is ice cold. Then my dad and I demanded a manager to talk to and all these girls started getting attitude and some threatened to leave instead of just simply doing their job. Finally after 20 mins of waiting for a manager to give me my money back Joshua handled the conflict and apologized and listened made eye contact and took care of the problem. He is the only person with common decency in that crap while of a restaurant. Not to mention the place wasn't clean. It's a playground for kids. When nobody was in line I asked to add a kids chicken finger to my already overpriced meal and they said it was too late. It was 9:30 and they close at 10:00 but the girl was rude and said "we ai t take no orders at the drive through". So we drove around and the girl taking my order laughed hysterically and when we arrived back at the window our food was waiting. They are just rude and I have not had a good experience in years. The place is dirty and the staff just doesn't care. Really sad. I would be happy to see them shut down unless they need to pay a real manager who is willing to turn it around. I probably should have reported this location to the health department months ago. In July 2023, we visited the restaurant shortly after they'd opened in the morning. The floor was filthy. The dining room didn't smell very nice. The staff seemed less than anxious to be taking orders or dealing with customers. Against all wisdom, we ordered food, and I ordered a salad. Unfortunately, that was a mistake that I paid for for some time. I got a very nasty case of food poisoning that I directly attributed to that salad. Fast forward to today. One of my children decided to go to that location and purchase some chicken fingers at the drive-through. Half of them were very cold. He ate several of the warmer ones, but started to feel ill within ten minutes of eating. Needless to say, I do not recommend this location to anyone who cares about their health and well-being. She was very rude and had an attitude before we even pulled up to the window. Was very rushed although they weren't busy at all and just jerked the receipt at after we paid, was so tempted to just drive off. am only giving 2 stars and that is because of the customer service, it was not bad. On 8/11 I went to Zaxby's and ordered over $70 worth of food. I got home to discover that a 10-piece I ordered was not in the bag. Also, the salad I ordered, the chicken tasted like it had been cooked in burnt grease. The burnt taste was overwhelming.. So I decided to take the food back and get the rest of my order. That was inconvenient because I don't live right around the corner from this Zaxby's. When I went back the staff was amenable and tried to fix the problem. However, upon returning home, the taste of burnt grease was even worse. By this time it was 9:30 and I wasn't traveling back to the Zaxby's so we just threw it all away. 70 plus dollars in the trash. After paying for our orders we were told to pull up behind a car that had already been sitting since we arrived. After about 8 minutes someone came out to make both of use pull further up so that another car could pull up. I ask her how long was the wait. She stated "im waiting on chicken fingers.. about 10 minutes later the food came out. Everything was cold except the chicken fingers, so I assume they let the other food sit there while the chicken fingers were cooking..BAD MOVE! FRIES WERE DRY, COLD AND HARD... I know most people love Zaxby's fried chicken, but the grilled cajun club is my favorite. It's always very flavorful. This particular location is fairly small, and pretty loud inside if there are more than a few tables full. It can be hard to hear them announce that your order is ready. Drink machine had an ice spill in front of it which hadn't been cleaned, just a 'wet floor' sign beside it. Also had to search for the salt & pepper as they were not at my table - they had been placed in a windowsill and not returned to the table. The food is good, and I'll definitely eat here again. Restrooms overflowing into the floor, not a clean table in the dining room even with staff just standing around, on top of all that no one cared when the bathrooms were brought to there attention, it's an inconvenience to them if you come and ask to swap a ranch for a Zac sauce also. I normally don't take the time to write these things but the service was exceptionally bad here. I was in from out of town on vacation and had gone to different Zaxbys in GA and AL no less than 4 times before this week. I always order the chicken finger plate with no cole slaw and extra fries. EVERY other single Zaxbys would give us extra fries but this one did not. I asked the cashier to add more fries with the first box and she grudgingly took it. when I told her the second box was short as well, the cashier rolled her little neck and eyes and proceeded to yell at me, "well this is the right amount but I'll give you more anyway!". People forget that this is the customers money that is being spent so I promptly went inside to get my refund. I go to talk to an assistant manager there named Angela K. and inform her of the poor customer service in drive thru. She then tells me she gave us the correct amount of fries yet she was on the phone the whole time AND also was just as rude as the drive thru cashier. I just asked for a refund and then she tried to make me go outside and get a different receipt even though I brought one of the two they gave me back in. I refused to do so and she eventually completed the refund with the receipt I gave her. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a Zaxbys. Before I moved from California from Atlanta 8 years ago, I always went to Zaxbys. I see that they have grown over the years but at least at this location the service has declined from the level of service I'm used to receiving. read more

Fast, tasty, and filling. I enjoy coming to Zaxby's whenever I'm in the south. The snack plate is filling and so good. Don't skip the zak sauce it is really good with chicken strips. We arrived at 6:19 and didn't get our food until 6:50! When we tried to get a drink out of the freestyle machine there were only 3 options, and they were all flat. The ice machine was out and we had to ask for ice from behind the counter, however we stood there for 5 minutes just to get our ice. Been here twice at the Trussville location on the way out of town and both times the food was not fresh and it messed up my stomach. We also had to wait longer than 10 minutes. Every time I come to this particular location, my order is WRONG. There seems to always be a group of teenagers working in the drive thru that are unprofessional, as well as the cooks. This is the closest location to my home so it is very inconvenient to deal with mishaps EVERY visit. A shift manager offered to replace the orders and correct them. & guess what? WRONG. This is by far the worst zaxby's I have ever visited. I love Zaxby's but this one is very very disappointing. The employees care more about talking to each other and talking on phone than serving the customer. They have you repeat order 2 to 3 times before they get it. Then it is always a problem with the order. If they paid more attention to the customer that complaining about them they would be Great! They don't understand the customer is want keeps you employed! A piece of advise for whoever owns the restaurant take a trip to Chickfila and watch how they have the customer service. I lived here 5 months and will never visit this location again. I would have gladly purchased the drink alone but she never gave me the opportunity and considering the current spread of Covid 19, taking that used drink back into the window and therefore the restaurant should have been a big NO NO!
