The fish and chips are still amazing; just make sure you cool them on a napkin to reduce some of the fry oil and so you burn the roof of your mouth. This fish is freshly made to order. I love the pork lion sandwich. Straight out of Indiana. It can be a bit dry so mayo, pickle and lettuce set it up nicely. I didn't get a burger this time but they're still great. It took about 10 minutes and the To Go busboy gave us our food, he was pleasant, polite, even smiled and thanked us for visiting. We left and had our food on the drive home - the Culver Deluxe was made well. It tasted fresh and the veggies were crisp. The large order of onion rings were crunchy just like we wanted them. And the crinkle fries were a great addition to complete our fast food craving. If I didn't visit the restroom, my rating would be higher. Also, staff allowed a non service animal (looked like a poodle mix) on a leash walk around the ordering counter area. I like pets but not near my restaurant orders. Maybe there should be a sign on the door to prevent that. Anyway, I hope the women's restroom faucet issue is resolved soon since that is major health and safety issue. They've never compromised on how they make, wrap or deliver their delicious burgers to you out the window. They are just as delicious today as they were 20-odd years ago when I first tried them and got hooked! How does someplace maintain this? Good management and ownership. Not compromising on quality, ingredients or changing how it has always been done and done right. The same burger I bought from there over 20 years ago is the same delicious burger I buy today. Sure, the prices have gone up, but they have to in order to pay upkeep of your premises, taxes, your staff and the suppliers of everything you have to have in order to run your business. I still remember someone complaining about how much it was for a burger there when they first raised their prices to at least be somewhat competitive with the "Arches" down the street. Look. You can go down there and buy something that someone flipped around, pre-processed somewhat filled with questionable meat or soy protein, loaded with msg and salt, who knows where it all was already made and pre-cooked before it even got there... I've seen the process from start to finish at our Burger Barn. They cook your burger fresh once you order it. If it were made already, it'd be ready for pickup at the window when you pull up to order... sounds like someplace you know? I've got the patience for something fresh, something consistently good and priced a lot cheaper than down the street, considering you're getting so much better quality! So you do you and go wherever you like... me? I'll stick with the best burger in town that's oh so good from the first bite to the very last bit. I went through the drive through on Sunday and was surprised with the menu options. I went with the $5 box that came with 2 tenders, crinkle fries, and a sauce of your choice. Since it was my first time, I went with the creole honey mustard and paid the surcharge for an additional sauce. Since there was no one there, my food came out pretty quick. My expectations were not very high as it reminds me of your standard fast food chicken spot but I was amazed with how seasoned the fries were. The fries were fresh and crispy and really good in comparison to Raising Cane's crinkle fries. The chicken was very juicy, hot, and fresh but bland. The batter didn't have a lot of seasoning but it was crispy and pretty big. My favorite sauce out of the two was the creole honey mustard. It reminded me of Popeye's own version but more creamier. It was tangy and paired perfectly with the chicken and fries. The saucy sauce was more ketchup forward. It was ok but not something I would get again. Saucy is serving fast food meals at a great value and exceeded my expectations!
