Eh. I've heard a lot of buzz about Zara, so I decided to give it a look. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that there were huge lines for the check out and dressing rooms. The next thing I noticed were the clothes, there seem to be two aesthetics of fast fashion here - stylish new retro, and skimpy with lots of cutouts, plastic leather, and cheap fabric. I piled up several items in the former style that I thought showed potential and got in line for the dressing rooms. I waited about 5 minutes and took my items into a small curtained dressing room. Of the 12 items I tried on, 0 fit. They look great on the rack, but fit terribly. Even the coats fit badly. There was one blouse I thought I could possibly alter to fit - but at $45 and and a much longer wait in the checkout line, it absolutely wasn't worth it. Although I love Zara I hate this store inside of fashion place mall. I first learned about Zara while travelling through Europe and I was young and in the fashion industry. I would always find good pieces but once they brought it to America or should I say Utah, it's not quite the same. The one in Vegas has more fashion forward pieces but this store...meh. don't get me wrong I love shopping here because everything fits me perfectly. It's cut Euro so the sizes are smaller then the American cut. So when they say zero haha well you better mean it. No matter what you are going to wait to pay and now they have self checkout!! Until yesterday, the previous few times shopping here weren't pleasant because the dressing rooms were closed, the merchandise areas were a mess, and the checkout lines were super long. Yesterday was totally different. It was like being in a spa. The lights were darkened, the merchandise was organized and less crowded, the dressing rooms were open although cluttered, and there were several cashiers so the line wasn't too long. It was a totally different shopping experience. I ordered two items online in the size I needed by easily scanning the products on their website. It took just a few minutes and was simple. If I was younger, and I could fit in Zara's clothes, my closet would only have Zara in it. So many cute clothes at a reasonable price. Store sections are color coordinated and are well stocked. This location is inside fashion place mall, half way down the mall from the entrance by H&M. No sales associate asked if they could help me, or even acknowledge that I was there. I went in their looking for an outfit for travel, there was nobody there to greet me, or assist me. Being a middle age women I felt ignored by the staff there as if I was too old to shop there, I'm a very stylish woman ( genX) and I love clothes, and take care of my body and fashion. I was dissapointed that the younger girls working there lumped me in with "frumpy old ladies" and basically I felt invisible. I love their fashions, and will shop online vs in person... I've been standing in line for THIRTY MINUTES and there were only FIVE people in front of me. There is only one guy working and truly it's like they train their workers to move as bloody slow as humanly possible. I want to poke my eyeballs out. If I could give a half a star, I would. I loved Zara when I lived in NYC, but the service and friendliness has not made it to the store In Fashion Place Mall in Murray, UT. I went in to return several items, but had misplaced my receipt. I asked if my purchase could be looked about via my card. The clerk recited a statement about "no receipt, no return." I said that there must be some way to look it up from the tags. Again, the statement was recited. I said how frustrating and inconvenient this was. The clerk said, "call customer service or go online to the Zara website. It is your job to keep trrack of your receipt, not mine." I told her that she didn't need to be rude and asked for the number for customer service. She said, "If you would stop talking, I will give it to you." All she needed to say was, "I understand your frustration. Here is a number you can call or our website." I also feel like no one is interested in helping you find anything and the place is understaffed. You are made to feel like you are imposing if you ask for help or want to check out at the register rather than doing it at the self-service register. I love this store I love their clothes. It's in a good location. I am however disappointed in their covid policies not being more transparent online. Several times I have tried to go in at 5 when I am Off work.. and it just so happens that they close at 4. This is not written anywhere I can find. Came in trying to exchange a pair of shorts who's button had popped off. The manager dismissively said she needed the receipt to make any type of exchange or return. I received a birthday gift from Zara and went to the fashion place location to exchange. The customer service was terrible specially by the store manager and Brittiny, the cashier. I was Never told that I could not put a merchandise on hold for an hour while I went home to get the gift receipt. Too bad zero stars isn't an option. Not surprised when we came to do a yelp review and saw they only have a 1.5 stars. Most reviews talk about the long line, which is totally true. If they had great customer service and quality clothing, it would be worth the line!! My husband purchased a pair of pants at this location. He only washed them once and wore them twice, once when new and once after washing them. He went to wear them again and noticed there was a rip in the seam at the waist. He owned them about a month, when we went back the same pants were now on sale for about half the original price. He no longer had the receipt but we figured they would probably do an exchange after showing them the huge rip, especially since they were on sale. We waited in line just for them to say sorry, without the receipt and since you cut a long tag with the scan code out, we can no longer take them, even for an exchange! We looked in a new pair for the tag they are talking about. It's this big, long tag that has a picture of scissors, to encourage and show you it's meant to be cut out. I believe they encourage their customers to cut it out so they can say they can't exchange their clothing without the tag and not have to do exchanges or returns. My husband was not happy. We left with the ripped pants. The next day, my husband went back to the mall for another reason and decided to see if a manager was working and ask if they could help. He found a manager and she said, sorry but that is the but here is a phone number to call if you want to talk to customer service. Of course they say, we stand by what our managers tell our customers and there's nothing we can do. So this is obviously another tactic to prevent returns and exchanges. They give their managers zero power to make customers happy and direct them to give the customer a phone number just to say no and not give a reason. This is a very poorly ran company with poor quality clothing and terrible customer service. The owner is a multi billionaire, you'd think he would concerned about reputation. All major brands and worldwide retail locations let you do normal returns and exchanges. People are too spoiled with companies who care about their customers to continue patronizing retail locations who have anti-customer policies. read more

I love Zara clothes and I don't want to be a Debbie downer but today I drove all the way from Idaho and I wanted to stop by Zara to grab my favorite roll on perfume for myself and my sister in law who is marrying my brother tomorrow. I got to the entrance of Zara at 7:52, they close at 8 and the girl at the front would not let me go in saying they closed in 5 minutes. She was very rude and would not let me go in even though I said all I needed was the perfume- not to mention they weren't closing for another 8 minutes. Terrible terrible customer service in my opinion and I'm very upset I couldn't get my sister that perfume before her honeymoon. Zara at Fashion Place does not care about their customers. I have never been there when they have had more than 2 registers open in their GIANT store for men, women, and children. There is ALWAYS a long, very slow line. Even though there are always tons of employees milling around the store, they refuse to take care of their customers and temporarily open up more registers so people can get out of there. After having an encounter with the manager, Matt, it is no wonder why customer service is so bad. I can't imagine a business who would want him as their representative. I tried to reach out to Zara, but it is next to impossible to actually contact a business anymore. All they want is your $ and for you to leave them alone. Sad.
