Not sure what the deal with Zara is, but literally every time I visit the Perimeter store, I have the worst service. I feel like the company could care less about their customers who patronize the store and keep it in business. I can count the times I've been in Zara and each time the service gets more pathetic. The day I came to the store, the clerk had the worse dismissive attitude treating every customer just like a transaction. She was very short and just seemed annoyed that people were asking questions due to some of the adjustments due to covid.... I understand the frustration, but this is new on everybody and tbh it makes no sense to close the fitting rooms to covid and advise people to wear the items and bring them back as needed. That seems worse to me! Secondly, I worked retail for over 10 years at Lenox with the worse degrading customers, but I just did the job and not let it get to me. The girl that is at the register needs to learn a thing or 2 about service. Back in the day Express was like Zara is today, and Express NEVER had service the way Zara does. There was a short girl with a shaved head who had THE WORSE attitude. This shop is whack! I love this brand, but the employees here are super disconnected. Like they feel as if they're better than all of their shoppers. No warm greetings or pleasantries. Not sure why the low ratings but this is my favorite Zara location. Always the friendliest staff and not as crowded as the Lenox location. I like Zara for their trendy budget friendly work clothes. They're like H& M except a little more conservative and slightly better quality. The company is based out of Spain and has been around since 1975. They're popular with budget conscious as well as celebrities alike. Kate Middleton for example wears their stuff a lot. One of the things I like about Zara is they seem to have really good people cutting their fabrics. Even though it's "budget" but their blazers still are cut nicely around the shoulders and the waist. H&M for example also makes blazers but they cut their stuff too narrow around the shoulder and their fabric looks cheap...sorry.... I have never been a huge fan or Zara but that's probably because there isn't one in my area. A few of my friends love the brand. I decided to stop in and browse around. I don't know much about other Zara locations but this one is huge! Each department is broken into style sections so it's easy to navigate to the type of clothes you're looking for, which I think is great. It's pretty organized for a retail store. They have plenty of sizes in each item which you don't always see at other stores. The prices are on the lower end. I wish all the shoes were in one section instead of spread out under the racks. ZARA CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT***Zara does not honor their advertised prices!!!! Let me start by saying that I don't shop or live in Europe. If the Zara "European price tag" does not apply in the United states then why ship it to the United States with the European tag. In the United States we honor the prices advertised. There was a class action lawsuit against ZARA in 2016 for this exact reason! They are still not honoring the prices listed on there clothes. I was told by their manager today in the Atlanta Perimeter mall that "it doesn't matter what price is listed on the tag, the company will not allow them(management) to honor it. The tag was missed when putting it on the floor." The little sleveless shirt I tried to purchase today had a "european price" of 8.95 covering the US price of 15.00. One Euro = $1.06 in US currency. First of all....Why are we paying 40% more in the United States for the same exact item? Secondly, Zara won't honor their own mistake....especially when we are paying more in the US for the same item in Europe?????? Right is right and wrong is wrong!! Avoid purchasing from Zara. Customer service is nonexistent. They don't answer the phone at the local store, and corporate headquarters will tell you they can't help you. Only the local store can make a decision. I purchased a gift on Dec 9, and my daughter tried to return/exchange the gift on Jan 14. I want to begin with I never write reviews in regards to a store purchase experience but Maria, Daniela, and Marybeth at Perimeter mall made it happen and not in a good way. The experience was for sure the worst ever. I was so disgusted with the people you hire to represent Zara retail stores. First, once we got to the counter we brought a pair of sandals for purchase because I didn't see the tag on the pair I took another pair in different color that did have the tag. As I am paying Daniela at the counter tells me she cannot sell me the item because there is no tag. I explain I live an hour and twenty minutes away and I cannot come back just for that item and I would really like to buy it now. Clearly you could see she was upset and rolled her eyes at me the whole time. After that she called her manager and switched to another language thinking my daughter and I could not understand what they were saying the whole time (we speak English and Spanish). They started talking about us and the people behind in line in a very condescending way because we were the last people paying in line and then talking about other customers in general. I don't know about this company's customer service and this may not be as important but I was a retail manager and still work in direct contact with the public and I would never allow this type of behavior from my employees. Especially if they are interested in keeping their sales at a higher level than other stores in their market and their job. Also, the pricing on the tags did not match what was on my receipt but they were just a hurry to get us out since other people were still in line. They have about 15 registers in the store but only 3 seem to ever be open. After looking at the line wrapped around the store, I decided to leave and go back when the line was shorter. So I went closer to closing, I already knew what I wanted. When I entered the guy at the door said "10 minutes left!" He then followed me around the store and counted down the minutes. He laughed with his coworkers and said "I'm clearing this floor out. These people gotta go." Then when the last person was in line, he said "alright, I did my job, I'm leaving now". This Zara is massive, and usually pretty well kept. I never really expect fantastic service at any Zara, so the poor customer service here is not surprising. The biggest downside to this location is the checkout line. It ALWAYS stretches across the store. Doesn't matter what time of day you go.
