Just a few employees were working & was dishing out good customer service. Weekly new arrivals, fitted, adjustable, teams, brands, care kits, travel bags, display boxes anything & everything hat related you can find at the club. Prices were surprisingly low for regular & custom made hats. Although the name, there's no membership. Back to the two guys working..pretty cool dudes.

You could call him the hat God due to his knowledge on hats and setting up events for us locals. Ask him about how and when drops will be you won't be disappointed. Managers like this just do not come around often and he deserves the highest pay possible for all of retail management. Then you have Felix. This guy is a goat as well. Knows everything and anything about hats. It's inceredible the knowledge he has on everything and just his overall kindness and work ethic. Blake is an awesome cat as well. He has been there for me listening to story after story by me. He has dropped a lot of knowledge over the past year or so and gets me excited to come in too. So thank you Daniel is new and a cool dude. Love talking Dodger baseball with him and overall life. He gives great tips on apparel as well. He's really passionate about his job. Then there's Cat. She's always fun to chat with during events and has a great sense of humor too. I even forgot how long she's been doing it and she's been there through my best and worst times. Lastly there's Merari. She's new but very friendly as well and has a hard work ethic. Still came to work even after a car accident which is amazing. We need more workers like her in the field. Overall I will only shop here. The staff is amazing as you can see and WAY better than lids. The quality is perfect and you get that "barber shop" like treatment when visiting. You'll always great pristine care whether you buy in shop or a drop online. J thanks again for keeping this shop running like a fine well oiled machine -your 20 year customer

I made a reservation via email which was super easy to set up. The staff were so friendly, explained everything to us, and also gave us helpful styling inspiration. There were so many options of hats, trims, charms, etc. that it was such a fun time for the group. I ended up getting a 100% wool hat with a couple of add-ons. At the end of appointment, they even gifted the bride a little goodie bag. It was definitely an experience to remember. Thank you so much, Rancher Hat Bar!

Do you want a custom rancher or cowboy hat? Ever wonder where all of those impeccably decorated…read morehats people wear at festivals and wineries come from? Well, some of them may come from a place like Rancher Hat Bar. I'm going to break down the experience because I came in as a complete newbie and had NO idea where to start and it really wasn't clear when I went in there. (More on that later. ) Start at the big wall of hats. They have a pretty good selection of hats ranging from least expensive (at least when I was there) closer to the big window and street) to more expensive (located deeper in the store.) There are a range of colors and slight variations in style. The cheaper ones started around $65 I believe and went up to $90. The next tier started at about $120 (which is one of the ones I went with) and those two tiers were adjustable hats. As you made it to the pricier ones they got to fitted sizes. Once you have chosen the style and the color you want, you let the staff know and they will go grab a fresh hat for you from the back. Then it's time to start looking for your embellishments. Do you want a ribbon, or a charm, or feathers or flowers? Do you want a brand on the hat? You can customize in so many ways. Layering ribbons and chains and flowers, etc. Once you have gathered what you want and have a general idea of how you want it laid out, the staff will get it all tied on and tacked in. Ta-da a custom creation! It can be fun and I did get a hat. When we arrived it was a little busy maybe 2-3 other folks in front of us, and no one had appointments. We were there for a pretty long time and while we were there it calmed down quite a bit. At one point our group of 5 were the only guests in the store. I'm going to be frank, the ladies who were working there couldn't have cared less that we were there. Answering questions about the hats, the process and assisting with the tips for designing the hats was really the last thing they wanted to be doing. I get it, it's the same thing for them everyday, but the Hat Bar is special because it's an experience. It's more of a service than just retail. They just didn't give a and it showed. And as a special experience that I would recommend to others, that's where it falls short. It would have been fun to have a more guided experience. To be offered beverages like when you go into Tecovas. I would have liked to see more display hats for inspiration or maybe photos if physical hats would be too much inventory. So many ways to make it special that sadly don't happen.

I'd like to apologize for not reviewing sooner!! This is a REAL hat store…read more This family-owned business has been a fixture in the valley for decades, and while I used two different hatmakers when I lived and worked in Colorado, they didn't come close to the expertise of this outfit. As a native to the valley, the damage from sun exposure began as an outside kid. As a young adult starting out as a horse professional, I wore what most people wore - a basball cap. In my 30's, the dermatologists began their annual battle to repair the damage, instructing me to 'stay out of the sun'. Yeah, right. After one session of extensive repair, Doc really chewed me out! I explained my work, to which he exclaimed, 'Then wear a real hat!' The baseball cap only shaded my eyes, not my face, nose, chin, ears, neck, chest... and the damage was requiring surgeons. Seriously. So began my quest to every western shop to try to make a hat work for me. I had no idea that the pain & headache was because the shape of my head IS NOT ROUND, like most people, yet every off the shelf hat is! To wear a hat snug enough to stay on while horseback, yet comfortable, seemed impossible. One day I was miserable with yet another 'round' hat I was forcing myself to wear when someone told me about a place that makes quality hats exactly to the shape of your head, allowing for even, comfortable pressure. No way! What? Don't even know what I did with those stupid round torturous hats. Might've run them over with the truck AND trailer! You can imagine the rest! That antique contraption they use to get the shape of your noggin is the game-changer! Over 30 years, Az-Tex has made probably 6 hats for me, worn morning to night outside working. They last forever, and my new hats were usually a style change I was looking for. They clean up like brand-new and are really an item one could pass down to kids or grandkids. Retired now, I go there for my golf hats! So, again, sorry I hadn't reviewed before now! Thank you, Az-Tex! Your expertise made my career so much easier!

Not only do they sell hats for those Country/soul line dancing divas and demons but they also sell other products. (Respectfully) I purchased a perfume oil from here, months ago and have been looking for one similar which has been impossible to find. Upon entrance, the Owner and his girlfriend were nothing but friendly, professional and are awesome humans! What a lovely couple! The oils are honestly my favorite since the smells last all day long. I'm always receiving many compliments on my scent. Don't hate! When I share with others, of the scent I'm wearing and where it's from, they are shocked that the store is here and that they haven't gone. I definitely recommend you stopping over to shop and support all of these black owned businesses in this street. This store is a vibe especially during first Fridays of each month, as there's tons of other small businesses joining in on the funtivities. There's music, fun, vendors, food trucks and great vibes!! There's plenty of parking in the area! Btw ...the scent is called, "INVICTUS" (Smells so good!) Please tell them, that I sent you!

I enjoy browsing the many Sun Devil items from State 48 shirts to books (on the 2nd floor) to gifts for others to fancy button-down shirts and polos for me. They honor discounts for alumni and employees, and they even have a dressing room on the first floor to try on any Sun Devil clothing. I visited the store yesterday as it was a calm summer day, and they had some 40% sales on the 2nd floor. Parking on the street or visitor parking in nearby parking structures. It's also a short walk from the Fulton Center, Mountain America Stadium, and Desert Financial Arena (and the rest of the north side of the ASU Tempe campus). You can learn more about the amenities of this location online at https://content.efollett.com/sundevilmarketplace. Note that the Cafe and Wine Bar is no longer active, and so the link is now down. That's where I believe Venezia's is (and where Uncle Maddio's used to be). There is a community room known as the Devil's Oasis Room in the Sun Devil Marketplace available for booking where you can arrange the room in a variety of ways for a group of up to 104 people. I'm not sure of the price, but there is a charge. There is also a Grab-n-Go location on the first floor with food and drinks including meal deals, a Coca Cola freestyle machine, and F'real milkshakes. On the second floor is a Venezia's pizza location along with a Sun Devil Technology Center with an Apple Computer Repair and more. There is also an active store online, where you can sign up for e-mails and get 10% off today by going to https://www.bkstr.com/arizonastatestore. Every now and then, there are clearance sales or employee or alumni appreciation sales including discounts on Apple educator prices each year. Last year, I recall a promotion where many products were 75% or more off in a grand clearance, which I've only seen happen once every so many years. I highly recommend any Sun Devil student, faculty, staff, alumni, or fan in general to visit this huge store at some point!
