Overall, she was super patient and wants to make sure it fits in the budget. I was gonna get something similar to my engagement ring that was broken awhile back. Of all the times I have come to this location, my most recent visit was very much not up to par. The employees were condescending and would only talk story with each other instead of helping the many customers that were awkwardly standing inside. I had to walk up to an employee sitting down to get help and even then, he constantly kept looking at his watch and kept cutting me off before I could finish talking. He continued to argue with me despite what was clearly written on their website and in the end tried to pass me onto someone else who seemed more knowledgeable. On August 19th I went into to the store to have my ring inspected and cleaned and I expressed my concern with a young man that I felt a roughness around a few diamonds and I was very concerned given my past history (my original ring was deemed a "lemon", taken back by Zales and replaced with a new one). He took the ring from me to inspect but he never took down my name or my phone number. He never looked up my account information. If he allowed me to come and go into the store without noting my information, how does Zales know that I upheld my end of the agreement to have it checked regularly? Answer: you don't. He handed me back the ring after looking at it and said nothing appeared to be wrong. I thanked him and asked for it to also be cleaned to which he said he already did. I am not certain that was the case because he was in view the entire time and was back to me within minutes, and the ring didn't seem any more sparkly than when I handed it over. A week passed from my last visit, and I was in the market for a set of diamond earrings for my birthday, so I went back to Zales in Kapolei again. The associates seemed bothered to take the time to assist me with my purchase and made me feel rushed and I felt limited with their offerings. I wanted diamond studs with screw-backs, but I wanted them to be at least 1/2 a carat, but no bigger than 3/4 of a carat. Starring at the limited options I couldn't decided. I went back again a few days later, this time with my parents and my husband. I thought maybe I caught them (zales sales associates) on a bad day and this next time they'd be more sociable and helpful. But they weren't. In fact, another customer came right up to myself and the associate, and asked for a very specific item and she immediately put back the earrings that I had just tried on, not even waiting for my response as to whether or not I actually wanted them, locked the case and walked away from me and assisted him looking up his requested item in their computer system. She never even excused herself from me. I was blown away. I felt like I was left hanging - well, I was. My husband looked at me, and I said, well I guess I didn't want those after all? Kay's jewelers is just a few doors down so we walked into their doors and were immediately greeted, offered multiple options, had financing explained to us with much appreciated thoroughness and they also offered to clean the diamond earrings I was already wearing. Although Kay's only has screw-backs for 1 full carat and up, they offered to have screw-backs added to any earrings with posts on them for an additional $50. Zales never offered that. Does Zales do that type of service? Because if you do, I wouldn't know about it. I was so pleased with Kay's that I not only purchased my new diamond studs from them, but I also increased my spending budget because of what they could offer me. read more

It all started when I brought my ring to be repaired on 7/11/19. The band had broken and Zales, Pearlridge had fixed it before, no charge because of my lifetime warranty. I was happy to find out that I could have it repaired for free again. So the projected time said I would have it back on August 1st. No call on the 1st, or 2nd...finally I call on the 3rd only to be told that supposedly someone contacted me to see if I wanted to do a recommended shank that would cost me roughly $200.00 plus. So we said "so you're saying you didn't even send it out for repair" the answer was no it wasn't sent. So we reiterated to the manager that the ring would be sent and expedited immediately and would be available on Wednesday the 7th. Still no call on the 7th, so I call them again on the 8th. No ring....girl said probably coming tomorrow, we'll make sure we call you. Here it is the 9th, no call, I call again and was told maybe it's in the shipment today, nobody checked it in yet, so I tell her to call me either way if it comes or not. It's 3:20pm and no one called... what crappy customer service. It's so convenient, being in Kapolei. It's not worth the B.S. easier just to take the drive to Pearlridge. recent update: the supposed manager spoke with my husband, left him on hold for 10 minutes. My husband drove to the store only to be told that the manager was in a meeting? really, the clerk that was trying to help him was very sassy, and had a very defensive attitude, even calling mall security on my husband. No threatening or swearing was made, yet she called security?? She even made the remark "you can take it to Pearlridge Zales if you want". we have been buying jewelry from Zales for over 30 years, and this bad experience with Zales Kapolei, just closed that chapter of our story. Do not shop @ this ka makana alii location !!! They are all a bunch of misinformed untrained workers who will waste your time !!! Bought a ring on Black Friday and left it with them to size it it took MONTHS to get back and when I got it back they " accidentally " sized it a size SMALLER instead of bigger! They weren't apologetic about it AT ALL! The manager Adam hopped over and suggested me to wear the floor model size ( which I already knew didn't fit because that's what I had originally) to " test drive it & I could ALWAYS come back & size it properly * again * ... of course I came back a few days later because IT WASN'T MY SIZE! - So when I came in to send it back AGAIN I also wanted to complete an additional transaction , I had a separate necklace my fiancé bought me for valentines I wanted to return ( since my experience was so bad at zales and I didn't like it much in the first place ) and Adam told me I have up for 90 days to return it and it's no rush no big deal , UNTIL they saw we paid CASH which apparently is a big deal now a days to use cash ?!?! WHO KNEW ?! Adam continues to tell me it would have been better if we used a card because they don't every have cash there to give us back. So I had to try to ask what my next step would be....? The conclusion we came to was just to continuously stop by and just " check to see if anyone bought anything with cash that day " so I left uneasy. A week or so later I called and tried to ask an update & nobody knew what I was talking about, it was a very foreign lady who answered the phone very confused and had to ask around and call me back. So I continued to call multiple days and nothing. Eventually I got a voicemail someone paid cash so I can come in l to come get it and Adam continued to end the voicemail with there hours THAT day with the time they close @ 9pm so I drove from Waianae 30 min & get there 8:30om he tells me he PUT the cash BACK & I can no longer do the return because it was " so close to closing time " he couldn't keep the cash he had to bring it to the bank or the safe or some ridiculous excuse. Even though in his voicemail he said " come on down today we close @9" I wasted my time , again. I tried to ask if I can just take it to a busier zales location so I can just get the return OVERWITH & got talked out of it by the NEW Solution of : leave the necklace and receipt here & if anyone ever returns cash I'll put it aside with your receipt and staple it together so u can come the same time your ring comes back from THE SECOND ATTEMPT at sizing..COOL, sounds good to me. I get a call my rings back so I can come pick up both ... I get there and Adam tells me they got " audited " and he can no longer return my necklace with the cash he set aside. He said it has to be a gift card now because HE got in trouble because HE wasn't properly trained and wasn't " supposed to have done the return that way" how is that MY problem he doesn't know his jobs regulations? Since when can't I return an unused item within the return policy and get the payment we used back? Yesterday, I came in to pick up two orders and the lady who was assisting me was not professional and she made me feel like rushed with her service. I was with my best friend at that time and I'm not satisfied with our experience. At first, there was this man who approached us and asked if we wanted to see their display and we mentioned that we are here for pick up. I was then called to the cashier side of the store and was asked if I wanted to purchase the lifetime warranty and then I noticed that they put the same ring in one box without even asking if the rings are for one person. Mind you, I have purchased them separately and in different size and style. Even though I made an online purchase of those rings, I was not asked if the purchase was for me or what not. I did not get a chance to try on my ring. I even brought my best friend with me who happens to be the recipient of the other ring as a gift. I also have to ask for an extra bag and a copy of the receipt that I had to separate and re-bag on my way out of the store. I was very disappointed and she commented "let me walk you out out store". Lol! My expectations were high but the customer service was mediocre because of this person. Worst customer service by Adam. I think that location needs to be trained. Went in to get our rings check for warranty every six months so March we went in and the workers couldn't pull up or account we tried everything they said come back with paper work so we did. Also can I mention this was the second time we went to that location and the first time it was fine and they could pull it up with no problem. So we went in today April 27th because one of my diamonds fell out mind you we only had the rings for 16months and a diamond already fell out so we saw Adam the manager we explained to him what had happened when we came in on March that his workers couldn't pull up our account and they didn't understand what we came in for so we told him that the girl didn't understand us. So he went on saying we are saying his works don't speak English blah blah blah we got into a heated conversations and he called mall security on us and kicked us out of his store slammed the doors on our face and said get out stupid military's we are not even military. Very bad service what sucks is we want to come to this store due to convenience of where we live but feel we cannot and will not deal with him and his attitude. We have called corporate and we just hope with all the reviews and complaints they do something because sounds like majority of people don't want to come to this location again and that's not fair that we paying customers having to go somewhere not convenient to us because of a guy who has ZERO customer service. Don't ever come here!!!! This place is terrible. Went in to buy an engagement ring for my gf 2 weeks prior to a trip that I was gonna propose to my gf on. Got helped by a MANAGER named ADAM. He helped select a Ring was friendly at the time because he wanted the sale . I applied for a credit line and got approved so I wanted to pay half on credit and half cash. Tried to complete purchase that day and we couldn't finish because there stupid computers were slow he said . So I went back to work and he said come back tomorrow after work he'll be working I did so and the store was closed early at 7pm with a sign on the door of emergency so we had to leave early! I called back the next day he wasn't working so another girl ERICKA helped me she tried the same thing and couldn't complete the process because there computers wouldn't let them she said so she made me come back another day again! I must of cane back to the the store 7 times just to purchase the ring and I couldn't!!! Finally it was a Sunday the day before my trip I needed the ring and that was the last day before I was leaving . We still couldn't complete the sale because they triple charged my credit line so there was no funds available on my sales card because ERICKA AND ADAM made mistakes and they now said that it would take 3 to 5 business days for the funds to be released!!! Pissed off not even the word. 1st off I brought my necklace here for repairs from one of their "sister companies or whatever u wanna call it" from the mainland, so brought it here for repairs because I was directed to them from the sister company on mainland and the first repair was not done correctly the clasp fell right off once again and luckily I was home because I had a name plate on the necklace from Kuwait which I will never be able to get again. First repair took a couple of weeks due to delays from the "hurricane" that never even hit us. So I had to call the jewelry store on mainland and was informed to take it back and speak with manager Erica to have issue resolved. Dropped it off for second repair on 11/30 and was informed by her that it would be a couple of weeks. Fast forward to today 12/22 and I decided to call because it's been 3 weeks. Person on phone with accent stated it has been back since 12/7. Okay so why the hell no one call me??? She stated do I have a voicemail or is it full or whatever. Yes, I do have a voicemail and no it is not full. I just received a voicemail on 12/8 as well as 2 voicemails on 12/18 so how did the item come back 12/7 and no one call, no voicemail like seriously nothing. Even if I didn't have a voicemail or if it was full it is now 12/22 so if it was received 12/7 then me personally I would have called the person at least once a week to inform them. I don't expect for you to call me everyday because I personally wouldn't call a customer that much either but I never received a call nor voicemail. I keep calls in my phone logged I never delete so please show me where you called me. I am highly pissed. Hopefully this necklace is repaired if not I will expect for it to be exchanged. read more

"Is that your ring..? are you authorized to return that..? It's in a Zales box, Zales bag, but we don't know if that's a Zales ring.." I bought my husband's watch at Zales online and decided to go to the Zales Kapolei branch to have it adjusted. I put the watch and box in a Coach paper bag since I do not have other nicer paper bags to put it in. Upon arriving, I told the staff that I'm there to have a watch adjusted. Having seen the coach paper bag, one of the staffs, Adam, immediately responded that the fee for adjusting is $$. I told him that I bought it from Zales online and to adjust the watch should be free. Without even asking or confirming, he responded that they don't carry Coach watches and that wherever you go, there's no FREE charge for adjusting watches. I then told him that it's just a paper bag. Without apologizing for his rude assumptions, he said he'll take a look I handed the watch to my husband and let him take care of the watch because that person was not very good, very rude, and unprofessional. I went to another Zales staff to ask about another Zales ring, purchased online that I'd like to return. I do not have receipt for it but the lady told me that it can be returned even for store credit. I told her that I will come back when I have it with me. Today, I came back with my Zales watch to be adjusted and ring that I was going to return. I brought my receipt with me for the watch. Upon arriving at the store, the same staff were there. Remembering how the Adam spoke to me last time, I went straight to the lady for my watch to be adjusted. No problem with that. The problem was when I gave her the ring I was going to return. It was in a Zales bag, box, the ring has a tag on it which I intend not to remove. She asked for a receipt, I told her I do not have it. She asked for any paperwork, which I do not have as well. She said she was going to be back and check with the other staff. They both came back and told me that it cannot be returned without any paper work or documentation. I told them, that that was not the information I was given the last time, by the same lady, and they indeed apologized for it. Then Adam said, "Is that your ring..? are you authorized to return that..? It's in a Zales box, Zales bag, but we don't know if that's a Zales ring.." I have been a customer of Zales for several years now, decades actually. This is by far the worst Zales experience I have had. I went in, as I have done before but with a different location to have my ring dipped, inspected, and whatever it may need. When I began to give them the information on the account they acted in disbelief, as if this were the first ring to be cleaned in their experience. I also gave them earrings, a necklace, and pendant to be dipped as well. You would have thought I had the Hope diamond. The manager, as well as the associate acted ignorant to their own policies and had to conduct a further review since my husband purchased the items. I cannot drop off my jewelry if I did not purchase it because my husbands account is private despite the fact that all I want is my items cleaned and serviced. I don't want to look at anything else, just clean and inspect like the warranty states. I was not contacted by any associate the next days, I had to contact corporate myself to understand the issue and find out where the problem is. Long story short, they cleaned it and acted as if I was the problem. They could not answer any questions nor did they try and find out how to assist. I hope I move before my next cleaning is due because this is the worst customer service, the worst human service, the worse Zales store I have been too in the decades I have been using them. I could not give them anything less than one star, they are not worth that. I should have went to the Zales in Honolulu. I will not be going back. read more

I went to this location twice in the past two weeks, BOTH times it seemed as if the staff was inconvenienced by my presence. The first visit they said hello as we walked in but made no move to help us or anything. So we looked at the children's earrings, waiting for someone to offer to help. I made eye contact with one lady but she still didn't acknowledge me. So we left. Second visit I went in to get my mother a charm for her birthday. Same attitude, couldn't tell you if it was the same lady but it might've been. NO ONE else was in the store so she was forced to help us. She was not pleasant during the transaction just got it done. I went in with my husband and our two children, maybe they thought my kids would be wild since they are a little loud tho they are well behaved and we watch them like a hawk. She was SLIGHTLY better after the transaction, (maybe cuz we were leaving?), but I WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS LOCATION. I've never been treated like I was an inconvenience by Zales at other locations. First I have read the reviews and noticed how self centered, entitled, pretentious some customers can be. Relax people you are not Royalty and The World does not owe you anything. Get Over it. Now that I got that off my chest I would like to THANK Dascha and Adam for helping me they really did not have. I had purchased a very complicated watch from the mainland that requires a minor in Physics, and a Doctorate in Patience to just adjust it to local time. I was heading to another Store directed by The Maker as a recognized dealer when I decided to ask Adam and Dascha if they could help me knowing full well they did not have to. To his credit, Adam, the Manager, I presumed asked his Rep, Dascha, if she were up for the challenge and she responded enthusiastically that she was. Long story short she ended up taking two hours to adjust my watch. When asked if there was any charge, Dascha and Adam said that there was none! This was when the store was busy with Christmas shopper! I was surprised that they were so courteous and so accommodating that as a result I did buy two other items that I originally had no need to. So, my Sincere Mahalo to Adam and especially Dascha, and to others reading this, let's all try to Remember the Golden Rule and treat each other better. Some of the employees there are so unprofessional. I went in this evening and was "helped" by Florina. Their system was down and I understand it is out of her control but she was such a bitch about it and not apologetic at all. She gave off such a bad attitude, I could tell she was unhappy to be there. Definitely not going back there and will handle stuff elsewhere. Thanks for nothing, Florina. read more

"I went to this zales store to look for anniversary gift and I wasn't sure what I wanted to buy and I was a little nervous because I didnt have a big budget , but this sales associate Florina was very helpful and knowledgeable and she helped me pick the perfect gift.She told me about payment options and that allowed me to get a nicer piece than what I thought I could afford. She was very patient and made me feel welcomed , she took the time to show me different pieces of jewelry and she even explained the different warranties they offer which I didnt know about and made feel more confident in my purchse.I recommend this store and the customer service there is excellent!! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Came in to purchase an item that was on their website. A women named Erica helped us place this order on her iPad since it was an online purchase. Said the order will take about 10 business days to come in to the store and they will call us when the item arrives. Two weeks go by, still no call from them. I then call the store to follow up on my order and they tell me that there is no record of my purchase on file! How is that possible?? So I go in to the store the same day, later on in the evening and I confront them on why my order was not processed and guess what, no remorse from any of the associates what so ever. Specifically, the women (Erica) who has placed the order took no responsibility for it not being processed and pretty much wasted my time waiting for the last two weeks. HORRIBLE customer service. I will not be doing business at this location ever again as I am very disappointed. read more

Wow!! The ladies at this jewelry store were amazingly insightful and pure pleasure to work with. My gf of 2 days and I were walking around the mall, when out of nowhere she asked me to spend the rest of the night with her. Lucky me, we were in front of Zales, and I looked inside and there was this young woman smiling at me. I was so excited and happy that I decided to commemorate this special night with matching earrings for my gf and me. I walked in and this young woman introduced herself as Aurora, and she reminded me of the fairy book sleeping beauty, princess aurora. Wait, not because she looked sleepy, no, because she had the prettiest smile and graceful hands. See, I notice these little things, and I totally was checking out her ears and hands, not to see if they were grotesque and huge like Shrek's, but to see what kind of jewelry she was wearing. To my delight, she had the cutest butterfly earrings on, and I loved them instantly! My gf bought a pair for herself and me. Not only were we pleased with our purchase, more importantly, we feel like we made a new friend in Princess Aurora! Unfortunately me and the gf didn't last more than 3 days, but I got some pretty cherry earrings! read more
