They clearly explained what our insurance would cover, what our out-of-pocket costs would be, and even offered flexible payment plan options. I was disappointed with our experience at this dental office. My 22-year-old son was given a treatment plan for wisdom teeth #17 and #32 that included two bone replacement grafts and two resorbable barrier membranes, adding approximately $1,896 to the treatment cost. The estimate showed no insurance contribution for these procedures. I asked the office to explain why these additional procedures were medically necessary in my son's specific case, especially because he is young, has no known history of bone loss or periodontal disease, and other dental offices had not recommended grafting and membranes for his wisdom-tooth extractions. The office did try to explain the recommendation and mentioned concerns involving the nerves and healing. However, I still did not receive a clear explanation of why those concerns specifically required both bone grafts and barrier membranes, or what clinical finding made extraction without them inappropriate in his case. I also asked whether these procedures could be treated as optional, particularly since they were not covered by insurance. I was told that the dentist was not open to proceeding without them. After I continued asking for clarification and mentioned that other offices had not required these procedures, I was ultimately advised to have the treatment performed elsewhere. I have no problem paying for treatment that is medically necessary. But when nearly $1,900 of additional, uncovered procedures are being required, I believe a patient should be given a clear, case-specific explanation of the necessity, alternatives, risks, and consequences of declining them. We did not feel comfortable proceeding under those circumstances and decided to seek another opinion. read more

I scheduled an appointment to get my teeth cleaned since they hadn't been cleaned since COVID. When I arrived, I had to pay $120 which covers a year of services, but only really provides x-rays and a basic clean. I thought well, that will be used up today. (I'm not sure why it's called a year long plan). I was given extensive x-rays and spoke to two different people over a video screen that took a long time to explain what was needed (basically, a deep clean and maintenance) that would cost over $2000, but with their other plan, only $1500. I told them I just wanted to get the basic clean today and have some time took look over all these other recommended procedures. The woman on the screen then told me that I wasn't able to have my teeth cleaned today, because today was just for an exam! I told her I specifically came in for a clean and already paid for it! She then checked with the front desk and was told the same thing. She told me to go to the front desk and schedule my clean. I got up and walked out and told the front desk why. I'm honestly very disappointed with our experience at this dentist office. At my daughter's first visit, I was charged over $100 for an appointment that lasted no more than five minutes. There were no X-rays, no cleaning, and very little was actually done. I was told that my daughter simply needed to get used to the dentist and that she wasn't ready yet. I completely understand that young children may need time to become comfortable, but I still felt that the appointment was extremely limited for what I was charged. Since no actual treatment was done at that first appointment, I made it very clear that I wanted the amount I paid to remain on my account as a credit to be used toward future visits. Months went by, and unfortunately, the same pattern continued. Each appointment involved very minimal time actually examining my daughter and very little being done. By her third visit, my daughter was completely comfortable. She wasn't crying or scared, in fact, she was excited to be there. Yet the appointment consisted of brushing her teeth and telling us she was good to go. That was considered her "cleaning." There were no X-rays and, from my perspective, very little of an actual examination. The final straw was when I became concerned about my daughter possibly having cavities. I specifically called the office beforehand and told them that I was concerned about cavities. They told me to bring her in, so I did. After looking at her mouth, I was told, "Oh, we don't do cavities here. You can take her somewhere else." I was honestly confused. If you don't treat cavities, why have me bring my daughter in when I specifically called ahead and explained that this was my concern? Why couldn't I have been told that over the phone? There was also no recommendation or referral for where I should take her. I was simply told that she could still come back to them for her cleanings. At that point, I had to ask myself, why would I come back? The refund process was just as frustrating. I called multiple times asking about the money that was sitting on my account as a credit. At different points, I was told I wasn't getting a refund, then that they needed to audit my account, and then that they needed to speak with their manager. I had to repeatedly call and follow up for an entire year. After more than a year of trying to resolve this, I finally received a refund, but only about half of what I had paid and was owed. I understand that every dental office has different policies and that children sometimes need multiple visits to become comfortable. My issue is the lack of communication, the minimal amount of care provided at the appointments, being sent in for a concern they ultimately told me they didn't treat, and the extremely difficult process of getting back money that had been sitting as a credit on my account. After this experience, we will not be returning. I would strongly recommend parents ask exactly what is included in each appointment, what services the office actually provides for children, and what happens if your child needs treatment they don't offer before paying or scheduling multiple visits. read more

I called in with a referral for a tooth extraction and was told it was covered by my insurance. I asked multiple times to confirm and they assured me it was. Well, after being in the office for over 40 minutes, we were "seen" by a doctor via a video call only to be told that the procedure was NOT covered by insurance and we were quoted much more than the fancy place we had gone to prior. I scheduled an appointment with your office three weeks in advance, and I arrived on time on the appointment date and time expecting to be seen. However, I was informed upon arrival that the dentist was not in and that my appointment could not be honored. What is most concerning is that I received no prior notification of this cancellation. No one from your staff called, emailed, or texted to inform me that my appointment had been canceled or rescheduled. This lack of communication not only disrupted my schedule but also demonstrated a lack of consideration for your patients' time. I understand that emergencies and changes in availability can occur, but at the very least, patients should be contacted in advance so they are not inconvenienced or left without care. Worse case is that the representative attending was the "Operations Manager", very unprofessional and lack of understanding and communication. We went twice before I decided to write a review. Both appointments for my family were quite horrible it was almost laughable. I thought after our first appointment that maybe it was a fluke & we should give them another chance since we already had appointments set for my 2 other teens. The office is outdated & I still tried to overlook that. The front desk lady was the only one there today for our 2nd appointment and she took 20 minutes to do X-rays for each of my daughters. I saw 2 separate customers come in, wait at an empty front desk, then eventually give up and leave. The "exam" is done virtually through zoom with a condescending dentist and a rude assistant. It was obvious they are just trying to upsell everything! After the "exam" the rude assistant woman said she emailed me the treatment plan to sign. One for $500 and one for $2000. I said I would speak to my husband before signing it. When I opened the email it literally said: sign and approve. I told her that & she said that signing it would just confirm the dentist went over the plan with me. "I don't know where you got that info..." Super rude. She said they couldn't do the cleaning if I didn't sign. The front desk lady came up & said there wasn't a dentist on site anyways so we couldn't get the cleaning done. What! That's what our appointment was for. I said I wouldn't sign and the assistant on zoom became snarky & basically hung up the zoom. I felt like I was dealing with a slimy car salesman! We walked out and the front desk lady just looked amused. Don't waste your time! I'm in shock this place is in business. read more
