I've had a mixed experience with Crossroad Dentistry. Dr. Sylvia has been wonderful, kind, patient, and very attentive. As someone who was nervous about getting my first eight cavities filled, she took extra steps to ease my anxiety, keep me comfortable, and minimize pain throughout the entire process. I'm very grateful for the care she provided. Unfortunately, my experience with the front office has been extremely disappointing. Over the course of my treatment, I was charged an additional $500+ due to my insurance not covering a specific type of filling Crossroad Dentistry uses. While I understand insurance limitations, I was not informed of this extra cost until the very end of my treatment plan, after everything had already been completed. Worse, I was first made aware of this cost while already in the dental chair mid-procedure, after being numbed and unable to reasonably pause or make an informed decision. This lack of transparency was frustrating and felt very unfair. Additionally, I had tried to schedule my appointments as quickly as possible to accommodate work and school. I was initially told they would hold a specific date for me while I confirmed with my boss. Later that same day, before the office closed, I returned to confirm the appointment, but was told they had already given the slot to someone else. At no point did they inform me that the hold was only temporary or that it would expire the same day, which forced me to rearrange my schedule entirely. While I greatly appreciate Dr. Sylvia's care, I will not be returning to Crossroad Dentistry due to the lack of transparency, poor communication, and frustrating experiences I've had with the front office. read more

Family member had a bad office experience. Waited 1 hour in waiting room. Clumsy use of setting the metal basket in mouth, dentist was curt and rude. When family member tried to get the dentist's attention because of discomfort. Dr. Sylvia snapped at the patient! Unacceptable treatment! Our family will be looking for a new dentist office. My daughter had her cavities filled and she says that it still doesn't feel right when she bites down. Horrible experience! Don't go to this Dentist! I moved back from Arizona in early March. I found a dentist in Menifee and they were absolutely horrible to me. They told me I had periodontal disease. I had cavities and basically that my teeth were horrible and I was going to get diseases because I had all these germs etc. I forwarded my records to Crossroads dental and Dr. Amin and his assistant Celeste were so down to earth and sweet to me. They made sure that I was comfortable and checked on me as they were cleaning my teeth. He said I had no cavities no periodontal disease and my gums were very healthy. I am so looking forward to going back in six months to have my teeth cleaned. We need more angels like this on this earth and more people to care. I highly recommend this dental group. Unfortunately we are sad to say the new Dentist has not done well with my family. My daughter was screaming in pain and now needs a root canal after being there twice for the same simple cavity! I have personally been hurt by their hygienist and that saying something since I was in the Navy for 23 years. My son was hurt as well. Just really sad after the change in ownership. My wife's Temp Crown failed within 24 hours and had to have it fixed! We are moving on to another practice. New patients and parents beware!! read more

Went in for my yearly cleaning. Quality of care from hygienist was painless and done very well. The staff are super friendly and competent.

I had a temporary crown put in last week. Yesterday while eating salad my temp crown cracked and I was in instant pain. I called Crossroads they quickly scheduled me for the following day. Since yesterday I've been on a lot of pain taking Advil to deal with it until my appt. Couldn't sleep last night the pain was going from my jaw up the side of my head. Woke up today took more Advil to deal with pain while at work. I got a call from Crossroads offering early appts as 10,12pm. I choose 12pm. So I arranged to leave work at 10:30am since I work 1 hr and 30 minutes from Murrieta my home. I arrived 13 min late after rushing to get to my appt, traffic. I walk in still in pain over the last 24 hr. JESSICA S OFFICE MANAGER tells me I'm 13 minutes late and walks off to the other room asked someone else if they can accommodate me. She came back said no come back at 3pm. I told her how someone called me from their office to get me to come earlier and I accepted it. She looked at me Stoic and said, then you shouldn't have accepted it disinterested I'm in pain. My insurance billed $698.25 My co pay $248.75 This is poor client care if I'm at work and someone contacts me at 4:58 PM. I still help in service a client even if I leave at 5 PM. If a client needs assistance a minute before I go to lunch, then I assist a client and then go to lunch afterwards. It's difficult to understand as someone who owned a business in the past how you can't take care of your clients and how is easy for their office staff who get paychecks from our insurance claims to just dismiss clients and talk down to them I canceled all my appointments today and I'm going to look for emergency services at another provider today. Thanks crossroad what a nightmare this has been just before the holidays. I'm writing this post so the new Dentist C Amin (new owner) and the old Dentists that sold their business can understand how office staff treat clients when they're not around. I'll pray for the office staff that they can treat other people with more respect, kindness, empathy in the future, as for my business, I will not be returning cancelled all appts. Side note I returned 5 min after leaving the first time to ask for staff members names. 4 staff members standing around 2 on their phones headed to lunch maybe? no one reach out to ask if I was ok NOBODY. read more

I've had some traumatic dental experiences in the past so I used to get a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist, but Crossroads has put me so much more at ease. I have gone to this office for a few years now and I have always had a good experience. But today I had such a lovely experience I had to write about it. When I went to the back with the dental hygienist, Jessica, she treated me so well! I had a clip in my hair, and she provided me a small blanket to put under my neck, which helped a lot and made me feel so comfortable. She was gentle and advised me to let her know if I was having any issues or hurting. Overall, Jessica was very communicative, informative, and kind. I hope to have her again next time! read more

Was better with prior dentists. They sold their practice and the new younger dentist all of a sudden tells me that my teeth which were previously fine need work. Just trying to sell services and drill my teeth. I found another clinic and they said my teeth need no work which is what the prior dentist (who left) had told me every six months. I don't trust their integrity any more which was the main reason I went there. read more

I have gone here for years for cleanings and was a little nervous having work done by a new dentist but Dr. Amin was outstanding ! Also, Matty the assistant was wonderful and very competent! I had a filling redone and didn't feel anything .. Don't be shy to try out new drs as they can exceed your expectations as mine were. I also work in the dental field and am picky about who touches my mouth but they both made me feel relaxed and comfortable. Would highly recommend. I normally don't write reviews but today I felt the need to do so. I recently went to Crossroads Dentistry to have crown work done and I was not looking forward to it. I don't enjoy going to the dentist but I had a very good experience after seeing Dr. Amin and his assistant Mattie. This is a game changer. Throughout the procedure Dr. Amin would ask me how I was doing and explained what he was doing throughout the process. He was very polite, very caring, I felt relaxed, and there were no problems. For those of you who may not look forward to your dental checkups please give Dr. Amin a try. I am very thankful for the good experience and I'm actually up to going to my next appointment. Same experience as Justin K. We've been going to this office for close to 20 years. We've stayed with them because they were always great at scheduling and accommodating the occasional hiccup, never pressuring for anything. Then the office changed hands. Now scheduling is a nightmare, my wife has had to go many months attempting to get back in after a scheduling mistake that was absolutely their fault. On my last cleaning visit the dentist didn't even look at my teeth which has never happened before. My family went many many years with not a single cavity and as soon as this office changed hands, my entire family now has thousands of dollars in cavities to fill. To top it off, my children and my wife have had negative experiences with the new dentists "chairside manor." I used to recommend this office, even suggesting people take a long drive as it used to be worth it. I can no longer recommend this office and am looking for an alternative. read more

Another dental office recommended some work and treatment so I came here for a second opinion and boy am I glad I did. Dr. Nelson was great and eased my mind about treatment. Turns out I didn't need all the stuff the other office recommended so I am glad Dr. Nelson cared about me and not the money he could have made. The staff was friendly and the office manager was kind and explained my insurance policy (new policy so I had a lot of questions...sorry, but thank you for being patient and nice). This review is specifically for the office staff- not the doctors. Been a patient of Dr. Nelson's for ten years. Noticed the past few years their office has been getting busier and busier. Having to schedule appointments 7+ months out for a cleaning. Had an appointment today- was 15 minutes late. Front office staff put me on hold for five minutes, then told me there's nothing they can do to reschedule until January. Office manager said they are actually booked out until April, not January. Only two hygienists working currently despite a full schedule of patients. Office manager was short, rude, and said they don't do any advertising and don't need new patients due to their busy, in demand practice. Sadly they are losing a longtime cash patient. A little kindness goes a long way with patient retention. Hopefully the doctors don't lose anyone else due to rude office staff. The dentists themselves are great. Friendly, gentle, and don't recommend anything unnecessary. Hard to find good practitioners in the Valley so I am bummed to have to find a new dentist. But 7+ months wait for a cleaning is absurd. Especially when a patient has never been late or missed an appointment in ten years. read more

I had a feeling we'd have a good experience with them from the moment I hung up the phone when I initially made our appointments over a month ago because the scheduler was very nice over the phone, answered all of my questions, didn't feel rushed to get off the phone. And sure enough... My daughter (8) and I had a great first experience with them, went in earlier this week for a routine cleaning and check up. Receptionist was friendly and welcoming. All of the staff were professional with nice attitudes, it was the end of the day too, we were of the last appointments so maybe that had something to do with it haha. We arrived early and were seen quickly, we didn't even wait 5 minutes before they got started with my daughter. My teeth look so white and clean and feel great! This dental office is by far the best I have ever experienced in my life!! I have always hated the dentist, but this office has been a breath of fresh air! I am no longer afraid to go to the dentist! In addition to their excellent bedside manner I dont feel like they upsell any procedure! Their prices are reasonable! I never feel like I am being taken advantage of like I have in the past at other dental offices. I have needed consults from other offices and everytime they have recommended the best of the best! Recently I had needed an oral surgery consult, and let me tell you I had the absolute best experience EVER! I love this office! I've bounced my family around to many different offices in the murrieta area, and the wait for my schedule appointment has always been hours! Here at Crossroads, if my appointment is at 3pm, I'm seen at 3pm and I'm out within 15 to 30 minutes depending on what i need. They also don't make you feel like crap if you don't floss. They way they educate is not accusatory which is always a turn off. A couple of years ago, my insurance stopped being a preferred provider and i went to another office. That office wanted each of my kids to do thousands of dollars treatment. I went back to Crossroads and paid whatever fees for not being a preferred provider. Totally worth it!!! read more

Can't say enough great things about this place I would give them 10 stars if I could. My 10 year old fell on a trip 2 hours away and broke his front adult tooth. As a mom and (one with a dental phobia). I was freaking out, my co-worker recommended Crossroads to me and they were so nice got my son in same day and even stayed late because my son was coming from over 2 hours away. They were so kind with him as he was understandably scared and worried about starting school tomorrow with a broken tooth. They were able to fix the tooth with the broken piece and make his tooth look AMAZING you cannot even tell the difference. They not only explained everything they were doing with him but also to me. I will definitely be back for my kids teeth cleanings and hopefully they can help with my dental phobia as well. read more

I absolutely love Crossroads Dentistry! My entire family (6yr old - 40yr old) have been going to this dental office for about 2 years now and I don't have any plans to switch offices. Aside from the office being so conveniently close to my home, Crossroads Dentistry overall is amazing. The front desk workers are pleasantly helpful and always greet you warmly. Each of the dental technicians/assistants are very personable and efficient, makes routine visits a breeze! Both father and son duo doctors are AMAZING! They are VERY SKILLED and always explain what they will do, are doing and honestly recommend doing for any and all dental procedures. The prices are reasonable and I cannot emphasize how honest the doctors are and don't try to sell you on services you may not actually need. An added plus, as a Christian myself, I appreciate seeing touches of loving the Lord in this office. DISAPPOINTED!!! My wife has scheduled an appointment at Crossroads dentistry based on our thorough research. We liked so much the warmest recommendations on Dr. Nelsons and decided to go with them. When I picked my wife up today I was surprised to see her confusion - she wasn't sure who actually treated her! When she called the office they told us that Nelsons had sold their business and my wife was treated by Dr. Amman (apologies if misspelling). The name of this person didn't appear anywhere on the office signs or in the office communication with us. Moreover all the signs are saying Nelson and Nelson. Now I want to be careful: by no means this review comes to critique the Dr's work. As a matter of the fact he was very nice, neat, accurate while it's too early to assess the quality of the treatment. Moreover, I do believe we should support young doctors with our trust - otherwise, how do they grow experienced? BUT didn't anyone in the office learn a meaning of the word "transparency"? If a patient intends to get a treatment from a Dr. Nelson shouldn't the office let the patient know if it's going to be otherwise? read more

I have had phobias of dentists since I was a child. I was to the point, where I went to sedation dentistry earlier in my adult life. Since I found Dr. Nelson and his brother, I have been nothing but completely satisfied! Their chairside manner, explanation of treatment and evaluation, and overall customer service has been amazing! Even my 5-year-old who is scared of his doctor, has had 2 appointments with Dr. Nelson and staff, and actually enjoyed his visit. I'm not sure who gave a 1-star rating without any comments or reason, but Dr. Nelson and his Crossroads Dental Office are the best I have EVER experienced. The dentist at Crossroads fixed my problem, and after three years of only chewing on one side of my mouth, I was able to chew on both sides! I am currently a patient of Dr. Nelson's for about 5 years now and just wanted to express how impressed I am with how the staff is handling how busy they are. I'm told that their office is booked about 6 months in advance and I can't say I wasn't a little frustrated by that at first but Yoselin the front office person I spoke with offered to put me on a move up list and I able to be seen two days later. Both Dr. Nelson's are great doctors and I can see why they are so busy and I am glad they are doing what they can. They were also able to get my mom who was a new patient in right away for an area that was bothering him. Staff is super friendly/helpful and I always feel comfortable at their office. read more

Went in for a teeth cleaning and Leona cleaned my teeth. In all my years of going to the dentist, I really felt this was the best experience I've ever had. Leona took her time and you could tell she cared bout what she was doing. She explained everything she was doing and made me feel more comfortable through the process. It really felt like she cared about her patients. If Leona is any representation of what the rest of the staff is like, then anyone that goes to Crossroads will be in very good hands.
