So yes, the pizzas are huge, and very cheesy. Should we have ordered less? Perhaps. But apparently even ordering two pizzas between four people was against store policy, and we were forced to add a green salad (this was in addition to the two 3/4 bottles of wine and the dessert we ordered). That being said, the pizza was very good. The dough was nice and thin, and the ingredients were very fresh. The pizzas were baked in a stone oven behind the counter, giving off a nice smokey flavor. They substitute toppings, so don't be afraid to ask! I'm usually a fan of chorizo or sausage on my pizza, but their main meat topping was ham, so we went vegetarian. Our waiter was very attentive and quite flirtatious, something you don't see often where the tip is usually nominal or included in the check. Too bad he was flirting with the married one in the group.

First time we were there I had a large salad, which wasn't that impressive (I guess it's not a good thing to order a salad as a main dish in a French style bistro), yesterday I had the steak tartar though and that was good. My fiance had steak in pepper/whiskey sauce which was excellent, and we had the escargots as an appetizers, also good. Thus, if you are looking for a French style bisto, not too expensive (main dishes are between 25 and 35 CHF), and a good wine list, this is quite a good place. It was packed on a Saturday night, with lots of young people. The place is not very stylish but cozy, and in a student part of town. There are a few other restaurants in that neighborhood as well as a few bars (it's close to plain palais). What we didn't like was that it was very loud, and also the bathrooms are not that nice (clean but very small/basic).

Tapas are served until pretty late - for 10 francs, you get your choice of rabbit, sausage and potato, pulpo, sardines, chicken, kidney and potato, or shrimp - and some bread with some really good butter. In Old Town, it isn't easy to find places serving food late, and this places serves at a bargain price for Geneva. I had the shrimp - which were cooked with orange peel, saffron, and summer squash - pretty good. Skip dessert - the tart costs 6 francs and isn't edible. Most folks are regulars standing around having a drink, and it is hard not to enjoy all the merrymaking.

It's a proper restaurant, and I think making a reservation is a good idea. They have all sorts of Mediterranean/Lebanese dishes including a great selection of hot and cold appetizers. One I don't remember having before is the beef kébbé with onion jam. Very nice. The skewers are all good, the chicken skewers were some of the best I have had in a while. This is not a cheap place, but Geneva is expensive anyway. I think you will get your money's worth.

We decided to stay bc we were starving! He offered us drinks so we got coffee and tea. You would expect that for a 45 min wait we would at least get that for our wait... Nope that coffee and tea was $10. When we ordered we wanted hummus but it didn't come with bread so we had to order bread. One pita was $6. Overall we had a bowl of tabbouli, hummus, one pita loaf, and an appetizer of 5 meat pies all for $110. Which is ridiculous! The place was also filthy! Cob webs and dead bugs in the window right next to us. Plus the table that the waiter pulled next to us the put our good on was dirty! It had rings from glasses, crumbs and food. When we were done he pulled that same table without wiping it down to the table next to us and put their food on it. It was disgusting! We got up left and went to eat dinner at our hotel.
