We ate at this restaurant last night. It is under the name Vivanda when you look on Apple Maps. Italian.....great menu, great wine list and the food and service were fantastic. Fairly priced for the area also. Staff was incredibly friendly. It is in the Hotel Post building and there are a few other bars, restaurants and a nightclub also, although that wasn't in the cards for us. Cozy nice place, would def recommend. read more

First let me inform you that the name of the restaurant is actually Vivanne. That will make it easier to get directions and find it. The service was exceptional and the Carbonara and Pesto dishes were very tasty and the small portions were still quite large. The ambiance was very pleasant and quite charming. Been here a few times and it always is great! I had a salad and the carbonara which were out of this world good. It's not a traditional carbonara, at least not a traditional Italian one. It's creamy and amazing. Whatever it is, it's great! Starter: Tomato Crostini - A+ BTW: Big portions. read more

Very cool atmosphere. Carpaccio was delish. The main entrees were fine after adding salt and pepper( the pastas); my daughter loved her Hawaiian pizza and my other daughter loved my lasagna and Tiramisu. The cheese gnocchi was a little rich and the 4 cheese sauce tasted like Alfredo sauce. Waitress was attentive til the end, when we wanted to leave. read more

After being rudely told at Grampi's that there were no tables without a reservation, I wandered in here. I think it's really a shame that this place doesn't have any reviews because it was actually very good. I was in the mood for pizza so I didn't really browse the rest of their menu. All their pizzas are custom made. You just select the size and the toppings. I got fresh mozarella, artichokes, and bacon. They do bring out bread, but don't let it fill you up before you get your dinner. It would have been criminal to leave any of that pizza. It was delicious and thin enough that you don't feel like a monster for eating all of it. The bacon could have been cooked a little more thoroughly but it didn't really take away from my enjoyment of it. For dessert, I got the chocolate mousse with fresh fruit. It was to die for. Definitely recommend saving a little bit of room for that gem. The service was very good and the ambiance was upscale but cozy at the same time. There were a lot of people so it was nice and lively. Check it out if you're nearby looking for dinner! You won't regret it. read more

Most of my quick searching before arriving in Zermatt had The Factory pop up as a "must eat" restaurant. Definitely wasn't disappointed! Portions are large and it was exactly what I needed after hiking. As a vegetarian, I was happy with the wide selection and the cannelloni was AMAZING! Others in my group got the lasagna, spaghetti bolognese and the fish with the "fitness salad". Everyone loved their dishes. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We went on a Monday night and had no problem getting a reservation the day before. It was off season so that might have made it a little easier. read more

Best meal we had during our trip all over Switzerland. The salad was so good, and both pasta dishes were had were fantastic.

Great ambiance with good food and friendly service. We dined right as a large tour group came in and our server got overwhelmed so I had to flag her down multiple times for assistance in replenishing drinks and for our check. I would go back but only if tour was not enroute. read more

We were a group of 5 (3 from France/2 from US). We didn't have reservations but after a quick check, the hostess happily found us a spot. (The place was busy). We enjoyed everything about this place. Great service, good wine selection & a great variety of food offerings. All were delicious. My husband & I enjoyed a delicious build-your-own pizza, r friend's granddaughter had spaghetti carbonara & fish (king prawns & Atlantic codfish) was had by others. All r meals had great flavors & portions were perfect. We finished w/ sorbets which they offered a variety of. Price/performance was exactly what u would expect in Zermatt ... a little on the expensive side but so delicious & given the location - no surprise. As others noted, the restaurant is tucked in the Post Hotel. If u find the Brown Cow, (also a good place to try apres ski & nightlife activities & part of the same establishment) which is right on Zermatt's "Main St" & always hopping, u will then find the Post & The Factory entrance. Serving pizzas, pasta meat or fish, The Factory is great for large group or couples. We actually dined here twice since we enjoyed the lasagna and chopped salad so much we wanted to come back and order the pizza. We got crazy and even ordered the gelato too - so good ! We were a large group of seven and they easily accommodated our group. We did make a reservation but it was only a couple of hours before we ate. The staff was very friendly and the food was very good. We had a variety of dishes including the carbonara, mussels, beef carpaccio, pizza, and pesto pasta to name a few. Everything was delicious and it was a pleasant atmosphere. We had our kids with us and it was very family friendly. The restaurant is also divided into multiple rooms and our room was private enough that we wouldn't disturb other couples that maybe didn't want to sit by a large family. read more

Upon arriving and talking with our server, cocktails couldn't be served by himself, but for some reason we would have to walk to the bar, order and return with our drinks. Weird?? Our server was totally incompetent, he couldn't accommodate our simple requests or questions we had about the different dinner options. He was extremely inattentive and rude, and basically ignored us for the entire night. After waiting for 1 1/2 hours for our food to arrive, we gave up after watching every other table in the restaurant get served (many arrived much later than we did). Upon walking out of the restaurant, we told the manager/owner downstairs about the horrible service, to which we got no reply other than 'sorry'. Truly the worst dining experience I have ever had.
