I came to this restaurant while visiting Evian for the day. We weren't really hungry for lunch…read moreuntil late afternoon and I had seen on Yelp that this restaurant would still be open around 2:30pm for lunch so I suggested that we check it out. We were greeted and sat promptly and our waitress let us have plenty of time to look through the menu to decide what we wanted. My mother got a goat cheese salad and I got the morges pizza which had mushrooms and sausage on it. The food came quickly which was good because we were starving! My pizza was not that good. In the middle of the pizza the crust was very soggy to the point where I did not want to eat it. The sausage also had a strange taste that I did not care for either. My mothers salad was also just okay. It was basically just a garden salad with a horseradish dressing which neither of us cared for too much. The star however was the bread and warm goat cheese that came with her salad. It was so delicious I wish we could have ordered 15 of them and had those for lunch. We finished our order with the cheese plate which was good. The service was good despite there being a slight language barrier between us and our waitress who was very sweet and took great care of us!

The insalata verde is meant to be a starter salad but it's massive. It should be shared. The design of this place is pretty cool too, it's obvious that the inside must have been renovated recently. While waiting I noticed the old menu board, still by the entrance, but with the new menu taped over, but not covering any of it. For the dessert menu, you are given the old menu, and told only to read the dessert section. Btw, the salad dressing doubles as the steak sauce. And my dessert tastes like a freezer. Somehow still charming though we won't be back.
