Listen, the onset was rough…read more My niece said she wanted an archery kit for her birthday, but it's an expensive venture. So, I thought I would let her try it first. We called to schedule a practice session. I was told "you don't have to book, it's first-come-first-serve, except Thursday that's when we have tournaments." So, I took my niece on a different day of the week. Got there at 1pm. The staff looked at me like I was CRAZY just walking in expecting to shoot. I was embarrassed. I told them that I tried to schedule and was told "don't have to," I explained it's hard to just plan a time to take the niece out and this is her bday and her bday gift. They told us to come back tomorrow "around 5pm" to shoot for 45mins and they would comp the rental, and we would just pay for the instructors time. So, we went back the next day. Instructors were GREAT, equipment was great. Went from flinging the arrow on the ground to hitting my target head-on (niece obviously better than me). The environment was friendly. We get to checkout and it's $90. I don't question it. I get home and my partner says it was only supposed to cost $45... they forgot to comp. So he calls, he's upset, and they end up refunding the whole amount. Look, I'm not trying to get free things. The planning was inconvenient, staff communication a little inconsistent. But the experience was a HIT. Overall, I was so thankful my niece had an amazing experience that I didn't think twice when it came out to $90. For the instructional sessions and equipment-- that's a good price. Was even happier that it ended up being free. If there is one thing I can say: they make things right. 9/10 recommend.

This Hunt Club is spectacular. They offer so many outdoor activities in a very peaceful…read moreenvironment. It is only a 40 minute drive from Albuquerque. I would highly recommend Tinnin's, if you want to relax, with or without the family. Robbie Tinnin, the Club manager, is super nice, patient, and very accommodating. If you want to spend a night or two or three they have a newly remodeled lodge which is extremely nice. My son and I stayed here a night and didn't want to leave. Photography-This is a wonderful venue for all wildlife photographers. They offer spectacular views of the Middle Rio Grande Valley (they are almost on top of the Rio Grande river). Some of the animals you could photograph (from a blind) include: Rio Grande turkeys Sandhill Cranes Mule Deer Javelina Coyote Elk Geese Ducks Pheasant Quail Chukar Countless songbirds Fishing-A catch and release largemouth bass pond. The bass are feisty and fight hard on a lure. They also have a giant channel catfish pond. Forget your rod, reel or tackle? No problem, they have these and will loan them to you. My son caught a nice largemouth bass after fishing for only 10 minutes. I caught two smaller ones, so he definitely beat me. Dog training-They are working in conjunction with a professional trainer, Ernest G., to teach pointing and retrieving on-site. My son was able to shoot at a live bird and the pointer retrieved it very quickly. Shooting Sports-If you want to hone your shotgun skills, this is the place to visit. Robbie is the clay thrower and offers tips on how to improve your stance and hit more clays. There is 5 stand, sporting clays, and wobble trap. They offer a variety of clay sizes including standard, medium, minis, and a super thin, fast clay that is almost impossible to hit! My son shot some of the sporting clay stations and they are extremely challenging, even for those advanced shooters. Archery-They have a 3D archery course where you can improve your bow skills. Hunting-Bird hunting with a shotgun includes pheasant, chukar and quail and if you don't have a dog, no problem, they will provide one. Other bird species to hunt are ducks, snow geese, Canada geese, sandhill cranes, doves, and turkeys. They offer big game hunting including elk, and deer. You could also call a coyote in as well. The Lodge is newly remodeled and offers: fully stocked kitchen and bar, living/game room complete with 3 televisions, a pool table and a shuffleboard table, two bathrooms, and four bedrooms (handicap accessible). They offer a steam shower in one of the bathrooms to get rid of any aches and pains. We had so much fun here, we will be back soon. Thanks Robbie, for making this a first class facility.

They answered a lot of my…read morequestions and gave me some sound advice; being a beginner in the fishing world is very overwhelming since there were so many choices of rods, baits, etc to pick from. It was fun walking around this store looking at all the different things they had compared to what is available at my own local Bass Pros. Super good value on the fishing rod pack and left the store feeling excited and a little more confident about my fishing trip.

Well. That visit was ugly !…read more Been hearing not-so- Stellar service conversations about my Cabelas/Bass pro. Yelp reviews confirm it And i lived it this morning Required a training dog collar, items like that require a trip to Cabelas in my book Now expensive items like my collar are locked up. Ok. Makes it hard to spin the box to read up on the items but ok. Found the one i wanted Went up to customer service desk and asked for help in dog collars since they are locked up Went back to the collars and waited. And waited Went back to customer service again and asked for help to unlock the dog collars Went back to collars and waited and waited Almost ready to give up. Shelf stocker walked by in green cabelas shirt and i asked him to unlock the dog collars. He did what i asked begrudgingly then asked if i had completed my shopping so he could take the collar to the cash register Oh boy. You bet i'm done shopping! Dropped almost $300 and this visit really put a bad taste in my mouth Really enjoyed all my visits and products i have purchased in the past If this is the future of cabelas/bass pro you won't last I don't ask for a red carpet but don't make me regret spending money at your store either I did get my collar Really need it But my years of trust and loyalty are shaken How many folks give up and walk Cabelas??
