The good: The gym is jam-packed with equipment for everything you could possibly want to do. The counter staff are friendly, and there's childcare for the kids. Everything is pretty decently maintained. There's a ton of different machines for all types of workouts, a pool, classes -- by this merit alone this gym is better than planet fitness! Haha. The bad: Always packed. Some of the machines are facing each other which is really awkward (having someone stare into your eyes while you're exercising your hip flexors....yeah awkward!!) and as with any gym there are meatheads and bros -- but I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing (I know some people do, though). It's a quality gym, just wish it was bigger like the other locations. Also, price is a factor BUT there are tons of employee discounts offered. Still more affordable than sports and wellness! Haha.

The employees at this Defined are a little intimidating at first- but some of the funniest most genuine people once that ice has been broken. This gym seems to be most popular with people just before they head to work, or when they get off. I will admit to coming straight from work and working off the day. All the trainers are more than willing to give you pointers on how to do something properly- but they too are human, and some are more shy than others. They also offer a free "jump start" where you meet with the head trainer and figure out what you want out of your gym experience and how they can help you reach your goals! If you need a gym, they do good here, at a reasonable price. The yoga, spin, pump, combat les mills class are part of your membership as is the pool, sauna and steam room. Unfortunately, even though they address it in their sign up and rules- there will always be those people that bathe in their perfume or cologne prior to hitting the floor and the rest of us suffer. I find it less of an issue at this location though due to the high number of professionals that use the gym- not just gym rats. Oh yeah! And for those of you with Kids- no excuse not to get in to the gym! They have child care also built into your membership.

You ask about it and they say weve ordered parts....they must mine raw materials and hand make all parts because they are slower than dial up internet. Managmenet could care less and it truly shows. This location is TRASH!. Only added amenity they offer is a pool,, and even it is not in good shape. When it breaks its down for months as well. It Currently works, but wouldn't hold my breath it lasts. If you only need weights there's gyms in the area with newer and better equipment for 60% less cost. Highly recomened going elsewhere.

And if you like pushing yourself to the max, you can kill a whole day here. They say time flies when you're having fun, and my only ultimate wish is if this were open longer. Come give it a try. Because of this concerted effort to hide the truth a PowerPoint closed caption video has been created transcribing the audio of the conversation with the security director. There may be two sides to any story implying deceit, embellishment, dishonesty, and aggrandizement by one or both sides. However, the recorded audio of the conversation can only present the conversation as it happened. My experiences in those areas have been excellent: the weightlifting equipment is maintained to a high level, and the locker room, shower, and steam room are always very clean. The staff in the weightlifting area have been very helpful, especially, Chris who has given me great advice on how to exercise properly. But it is totally unacceptable for any member, employee and especially a security director to threaten with a badge and gun. See slide 22. It is totally unacceptable for the security director not to contact the offending party when that activity can result in injury and even death. It is totally unacceptable to revoke a membership because that member has reported offending, dangerous, and abnormal behavior. This offending dangerous behavior has been reported for over 40 days to JCC and has been known by employees and members for much longer than 40 days. There is no excuse for not contacting the known offending party. There is no excuse for not posting parking signs, "Consider Others Park Between The Lines, Violators Will Be Towed". The cost of 3 signs is less than $150. JCC has signs implying secure your belongings in the parking lot. Why do they have these signs and not similar parking signs? To say that I refused to leave JCC is deceitful, not supported by the video. To imply that I am upset at no longer being a JCC membership is highly misleading and defamatory. The last statement made to the Security Director is "If you want to revoke my membership, do it. See slide 23. To imply that I am the problem is an opinion. View and listen to the audio video of the conversation make your own determination.

This club is all about the wins and about the teams making it to Nationals. Sure that's good but not when it's at the cost of a kids dream. So yes what Michelle T wrote is absolutely true. You are just another paycheck to them. The coaches will only play their favorite players. When you address the problem and why not all players are getting playing time they pawn it off on the kid and say it's because they aren't putting in the work at practice or they guarantee practice time not playing time. So the kid then thinks they are the issue and aren't working hard enough so they start to put twice as much effort in at each practice but the coache's will still not pay attention to them and only focus on the favorite players. This starts taking a toll on the kid and they start to hate playing or going to practice. You reach out to the coache's and club directors again and you get the same lame excuse as before except this time with "they should be happy to just be on the team and support their teammates". When you've sat there watching each practice and saw how this kid put twice as much effort and heart into thing than the favorites. Also I think any parent would be upset with these words because if we wanted our kids to be chearleaders we would of put them in a cheer squad not volleyball. The fact that you pay the same as any other parent should guarantee play time as well. Maybe not the same playing time as the favorite players but at least some. These clubs are meant to prepare these kids for the possibility of playing in college. If you didn't think a kid was good enough to play on the court in a tournament why offer them the spot on the team?
