We had a lot of fun doing the "Escape the 80's" themed room. We visited right after Christmas, so my daughter was excited to do this room as it was right in the middle of the last season of Stanger Things which she loves & since it is set in the 80's it worked out perfectly. All of the puzzles they had set up worked well with the theme of the room, some of the puzzles were obviously easier than others but they all were exciting to complete. There were six of us in total & there were enough puzzles for all of us to be able to work on something whether it was alone or with a partner to escape the room faster. We think they did a great job with decorating the room to feel like it was straight out of the 80's, we had two party members who were teens in the 80's, two who were born in 89/91 and two in the 2000's so it was a great experience for the different ages. If we were to visit Albuquerque again, we would visit again to do one of their other rooms. read more

This is the first escape room I have ever done and I had a blast. I could not have chosen a better place to be my first escape room. I booked the ZOMBIES!!! room with my brother (just the two of us) and we had the room -- and all of the puzzles -- to ourselves. This room was rated at a 7/10 difficulty, but we both like zombies, so we gave it a shot. The staff was friendly when we checked in, gave us a quick run-down of the process and what to expect, and we got to solving. We got stuck a couple of times and were able to easily get a hint, and then after we ran out of time, they showed us a big surprise we were almost able to solve. I am sure there are a lot of escape room options, but I recommend this one for sure. The next time I am in town, I will try out another one of their rooms. read more

These folks do it right. It can always be hit or miss when trying a new escape room place but I venture to say this is one of the best ones I've been to. We have a group of fairly experienced escapists to the point that we've kinda run out of places to go locally (yikes, i know). We gave this one a try and we all came away very impressed. We hadn't played in a while so opted for the Escape from the 80s because we hadn't seen a theme like it before- it was so much fun! The props, room, etc. were all on point and true to the theme. We escaped with around 10 minutes left...should've been a better time but we just got wrapped around the axle and overlooked a few things and got stuck which held us up. It was not the fault of the room- totally on us. lol The puzzles were very high quality with things that we hadn't seen in other rooms before. Everything worked, hints appeared on the screen in the room and they were high quality of the two that we used. So often you get a hint that ends up just being more confusing- these nudged you in the right direction without spoiling anything. What really set this place apart was a few things: - Broadly speaking, they took things that were annoying about other escape rooms and businesses and really put thought into fixing them which I loved. The attention to detail on fixing some of these things with their approach made this just a really awesome experience - All rooms are private - you won't be paired with random groups or people which I really appreciate. It's really tough to do a room with folks you don't know and understanding of their skill level - Minimum group requirement is only 2 to secure the room (most places you can play with two but have to pay for 4). I was talking to one of the owners about this while we were waiting for the rest of the group to show up and he explained how he and his wife would often travel to do rooms and found it annoying they couldn't just do one with the two of them without paying a fortune. AGREED 1000% - Their prices are very reasonable (under $30). Part of the reason we stopped doing so many rooms was because it was just too darn expensive with everyone raising their prices. I've even seen some rooms (not locally) charge a premium for 45 minutes so it's great to see this place keep the price affordable and approachable for more folks to want to partake. As a side note (and i realize how stupid this is probably going to sound) but the bathroom was also very nice. It was super clean and had a spot to put your purse along with a nice privacy panel so you didn't feel like you were just in a giant room. lol sorry, probably TMI but most public restrooms gross me out so I definitely notice a nice one and this was another testament to the thoughtful details they put in everywhere. We got to peek into the Alien room and it looked equally as high quality and I'm jonesin' to try the Houdini one. These folks do it right and have put a lot of thought into how they approach every single detail and I can't wait to visit them again. read more

Good customer service, affordable especially for a high school crowd. My group and I did Zombies and the room wasn't too challenging. If you are an experienced Escape Room enthusiast and you're looking for immersion, pass this room. But if you're a group of friends looking for a casual night out or some high schoolers looking for something besides eating out for fun, this is a great place to go. Have fun! read more

My family and I did the Zombie room yesterday and had SO MUCH FUN!! Each of the puzzles were very clever and impressive. We made it out with 30 seconds to spare. You're allowed three hints and we definitely used all three. They don't come in the rooms and interrupt you with the hints, instead they appear on the screen for you - which I appreciated. The guy at the front desk was so polite and non-judgmental. It can be overwhelming to have your intelligence challenged with the puzzles and he was wonderful! I will definitely go and try out the other rooms!! read more

This was our second experience in an escape room, so we are still new to them. My teens and I had a blast working on the puzzles in "Trapped in the 80s." The crew was very helpful and friendly, and gave us a few tips when we needed them. I highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed! read more

We have done several rooms here and they were all great. They were not too hard or too easy. The themes and puzzles were interesting and well done. The price is also very reasonable compared to other escape rooms. It's so nice to have an escape room business on the West Side. read more
