The personal service is outstanding at the Jamestown location of Zagers Pool & Spa! After Josh and Steve helped me open the pool, I've made some big changes. Steve suggested that I bring in water samples on a regular schedule, and going the same day each week is helping. While opening the pool, Josh wouldn't give up as he fine-tuned our sprayers that have not been working well the last two seasons. The arch of the water is gorgeous once again! Steve was able to tell me all about the pros and cons of a chlorine vs. salt water pool. I really feel confident making my decision to stay with our current system. I've been in the store twice with water samples. The Zagers team have been thorough giving guidance all while being patient with my many questions. I bought a Dolphin pool robot by Maytronics with Bryan's help and expert knowledge of the many models. He reassured me that he can repair the equipment right at Zagers. I love the ease of vacuuming now! The app is amazing and it is so easy to control the robot from my phone! Bryan also demonstrated how I could change the sand in my filter. He has a similar Triton filter in the showroom and walked me through the steps that I could do myself. He sent me helpful videos and links to the manuals and directing me right to the part of the process which was confusing at first. Jordan answered a frantic phone call. I had a lot of chemicals to add, the sand to change, and I needed reassurance. He offered to send me an email and it arrived in less than five minutes after he confirmed a few facts with a service tech! We should have known when the Jamestown location has lower stars than every other location. Do not use this location! Customer service is the worst. Especially Brian who thinks because it's 90 degrees outside it is a justification for incompetence! Go to any other location and you won't be mislead. Brian, you should never answer the phone with your attitude. You are a joke! If you want excuses for incompetence, Jamestown location is where you should go! Brian, 5 customers in your store does not mean you are swamped. Maybe you are in the wrong business! Follow up: Both the Holland location and the Fuller location stated hoses come with the sand filter that I purchased. Picked them up yesterday. Neither location had a "Brian" working there. Brian you may want to educate yourself on the products your store sells. Also, you may not want to work on days when the temperature is 77 degrees or higher. Maybe try a "happy nap" before you do go to work. read more

They closed my pool for the season this past fall and didn't completely drain all the lines. Spring is here and I have a broken line from the pump to the pool heater. They offered to give me $100.00 off my pool opening in lieu of reimbursing me for repairs. I don't think so..... I am in contact with the BBB with this. read more

Used them to close our pool. They quoted us 150 - 200... without telling us that it was going to be an increase in price we were charged over 500. With a labor chemical explanation after the charge, which we had to call for and ask for an explanation and had to seek out a receipt of service. I will not use them for future business and will not suggest them to others. read more

My husband and I are so fed up with Zagers. We moved into our current house over a year ago, and the house has an above ground pool that needed to be revamped. Yes, we are newbies, but we also do our research and try to figure out how to do things without calling and spending a fortune. While we had no issue with the pool liner install, dealing with Zagers has been a nightmare. We needed to purchase a new sand filter from them. Somehow, they managed to sell us a sand filter missing a lateral. How does that happen? After dealing with sand in our pool after installing our brand new filter, we finally called them to come and help us. $200 later, the guy told us our brand new sand filter was throwing sand into the pool because it was missing a vital piece - a lateral! Instead of apologizing and pleasing a customer, they have been very resilient to take responsibility for selling us an expensive piece of equipment that was faulty. Any piece of faulty equipment with a pool throws a wrench into the whole process, any pool owner knows this! This is the biggest issue, but the 2nd issue I have is with how condescending these folks are. There's an older, blonde haired woman who works at the Fuller location (unfortunately I don't remember her name) and it was difficult to discuss an issue with her because she would be so insistent about something. We needed to purchase the covers for the skimmer and the return jet to close down the pool, and despite having our information in their system and describing the pool to her, she managed to sell us the wrong closing accessories for our pool, DESPITE trying to convince her that a piece would NOT fit our pool. I'm just so frustrated with them! They don't return calls, they don't take responsibility for bad experiences, I think they are only around because they are one of the few places in the area who do this kind of thing. Never giving them our business again, and be wary of any information or equipment they sell you. read more
