Awesome Karaoke bar!! Each room is so cool and the tech was perfect. My group and I had so much fun

I wanted to do something different for my 30th birthday this June, and since I love singing, karaoke felt like the perfect way to celebrate! I booked the Industrial Suite at YZ's Karaoke Café and later upgraded to the VIP room after our time was up. Both rooms were super spacious, which was great since I had a group of friends with me. Because it was my birthday, they even sprayed a shot of sake in my mouth (lol)--a fun and unexpected bonus that definitely kicked the night up a notch. I didn't eat much since I was busy belting out songs and sipping drinks, but I did try the dry-rub chicken wings and they were surprisingly good! The karaoke machine took a little getting used to, but once I figured it out, it was game on. My friends and I had an absolute blast. It ended up being such a special and memorable birthday, and I'd 100% come back for another fun night of karaoke. Perfect spot for parties, group hangouts, or just letting loose for the night!

Stylish room with great karaoke setup. The system is quick and easy to navigate, making song selection a breeze. Service is fast, the staff are very friendly, and the sound system is top-notch. Will definitely come back again

I came here for the first time a few weeks ago and I will be back! It was so much fun singing karaoke in a private room! The only downfall is the room was pretty warm and we weren't able to cool down. Staff was helpful and responsive when we pressed the service button. We ordered a few drinks that were delicious! They also offer food and bites which I will try next time! They also have a big area where you can hang out at the bar, sit and also sing karaoke.

YZ's karaoke was a huge hit. I didn't know what to expect, but the karaoke room we rented comfortably fit eight people and once people settled in and got over the karaoke nerves it was a blast. The service was great. There wasn't a massive crowd. Drinks and food were easy to get, and everyone who worked there was friendly. Around 10 o'clock, it becomes a nightclub, but you can still rent the rooms and keep singing if you want. The karaoke rooms were cute. One microphone died, but they fixed it immediately. The best part was that for tons of the music, they played the original music videos, which was absolutely amazing for 90s hits you haven't heard in forever. It gave you that hit of nostalgia with the music videos. Super fun! I would definitely go back again with a group and try out the different themed rooms. We had the industrial room, and it was fun with the theming. I'm curious to see what the others look like. The food we all ordered very basic appetizer stuff- the edamame was good. People seemed to enjoy the popcorn chicken, and they had tons of different beers--many Korean--since the place is a Korean karaoke bar. A lot of the drinks and food have Korean ties. Also I should note they have some NA options for drinks. Overall, a great experience. Will definitely go back.

It's the best the valley offers for Asian karaoke...since this is really the ONLY place for Asian karaoke. It's located in a strip mall, but there's more than meets the eye. Definitely a place to try outside the typical bar scene, or if you want a more intimate karaoke experience. Make a reservation via DM on Instagram (@yz_karaoke_cafe) or call 4803067779. They offer medium (~10 ppl), large (~20 ppl), and VIP rooms (+20 ppl w private bathroom) - check w them for pricing. Main area has a full bar, tables and booths, and on weekends they usually have a DJ to keep the atmosphere lively. Check-in at the bar, and they'll prepare your room (usually 10-15 min). In medium rooms, we're usually all sitting, with 1-2 people dancing around. Large room is def less cramped (about twice the size of medium room). One slow night, they gave us the VIP room, which was super spacious and great for dancing around. When leaving, stop by the bar to check out so they stop the clock. Food is nothing to write home about, but we usually snack on bites while our room is being prepped, and bring leftovers in after the room is ready. Our go-tos are popcorn chicken, tteokbokki, kimchi fried rice, and beef skewers (although these have been a bit chewy for our molars at times). They provide water and cups. Song selection is fine, and staff will give a short tutorial on how to use the song selection machine (touchscreen, can queue songs). They have pop, rap, country, oldies, etc. for all tastes. The booths are kinda worn and cracked, but the two mics are always charged (complete with little covers), and the sound system is just fine. Overall, 3.5 for the space, food, and karaoke. It's very striking when you exit the building into the empty strip mall, but I always leave knowing I had a ton of fun.

From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were hanging out with friends. The vibe was relaxed and welcoming, with beer-themed decor lining the walls and a lively group of people enjoying the soccer game on TV. We grabbed a high-top near the beer fridge and were checking out the menu online when Saad, who was working behind the bar, came over to introduce himself and welcome us in. His energy was awesome - super friendly and easygoing - and he made us feel right at home. He checked in to see if we had any questions, which was a nice touch. We tried a bunch of different beers, both from the taps and the cooler, and honestly loved them all. You can tell they're really passionate about craft beer here. We'll definitely be back- this place is a gem!

This is actually a food truck, which is parked on the side of the Tipsy Catcus, which is a really cool brewery I also checked out while I was waiting for my order. This is a really chill brewery, and not a huge spot. Maybe 8 to 10 high top tables with bar seating, and a mostly open floor plan. They have a small patio too, with what looks like about another tables but because I visited at night, nobody was outside. They also seem to be extremely dog friendly as they had one table with a really chill cocker spaniel completely laid out on his side in the middle of the floor. I'm not sure how many taps they had in total, but definitely more than 40 I would say. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I ordered a cider. The cider I was served was on tap and really tasty. And it definitely hit the spot of terms of price point. One thing to note, while I was talking to the owner/manager of the tipsy cactus (shout to him because he was really cool), he told me that Friday night and Saturday nights are usually popping so I wouldn't expect to be first in line on any of those nights. It also looks like they rotate food trucks on different nights, so don't assume that the cheesesteak truck is going to be here every night. I would check the tipsy cactus website, or Instagram page to be sure. I'll definitely be looking forward to checking this place out again in the future, especially if I'm hitting one of the food trucks parked outside.

It's a seat yourself joint. Focusing seating around the focal point, the big bar area. Atmosphere is pleasant, spacious and welcoming! Decent selection of food options. Huge draft, craft beer selection. The staff is friendly & offers just the right amount of attention. You won't wait long to be welcomed, for your food, for a refill or for your receipt at the end of your dining experience. We started with their honey hot wings. Our party of three decided to split one of the numerous salads they offer & went with the steak & walnut salad. It includes grilled steak slices, blue cheese crumbles & crispy onion rings ( made in house) . The dressing was a light vinaigrette that made this a delicious & delightful thing to share amongst us all. For dinner we went with one of their "create your own" pizzas. Our favorite toppings are: pepperoni, garlic & basil. This was a great presentation & pie! From service to staff, to cooks in the kitchen we had a great dining experience! Everything was legit. We will be back to try a burger next time. This is a really cool place with a wide selection of outstanding food & bar beverage options. Highly recommend it.

Despite this, there was only one person working -- a server who was also acting as the bartender -- trying to handle everything. At one point, a woman came in to pick up a to-go order and stood waiting for quite a while. When the server finally got to her, she joked, "Are you the server, bartender, and cook?" His response: "I just don't cook." Her food still wasn't ready, so she had to keep waiting. I ordered a grapefruit mimosa, which cost $9.55 but was only about three-quarters full in the wine glass. Why serve it like that? It just felt skimpy. After finishing my drink, I sat for another 10 minutes waiting to close out my tab. This was actually my second visit. We came once before for dinner with friends since we all live in Mesa and thought the concept was cool and close to home. Unfortunately, the service then was just as bad, even with more staff on shift. I had hoped stopping in for a quick drink would be a better experience -- but sadly, it wasn't. I won't be back. It's a shame because the place has potential, but management really needs to take staffing seriously.

Unfortunately, that is only when this place is functioning properly. The food is really not great, but my biggest gripe by far about this place is the service. I have gotten good service maybe three times.Every other time the servers either do not come to us, take extremely long, or are rude and acting like we're messing up their day by asking for basic customer service. Just the other day my friend and I ordered tower station. When we received the beers, they were absolutely not tower station. We asked to switch beers and our first server was very kind and accommodating. Then out of nowhere came this (im assuming supervisor?) that said "what happened with the beers? I checked the keg its fine." with a super rude attitude. It was so awkward my whole friend group talked about it afterwards. Additionally, I don't think I have ever had the same server/bartender twice. The turnover rate is likely very high. This place has so much potential. I really wish the owners took its management seriously and hired some competent servers. Want to rate it higher.

Go out the door to the outside patio area and you'll see a security guard. Let them know you have a reservation for Alchemy 48. Someone will come up from downstairs, get you, and take you down to the speakeasy. Then comes the riddle! Don't feel intimidated if you're not good at riddles--I stressed about this part a little bit beforehand. Don't! Just read it. She gives you a clue that basically tells you what to do, and it's super easy. TIP: Make sure you take a picture in the little riddle/entrance room because you DON'T come back through that room when you leave! We almost missed that opportunity. Once you're inside, it has a really nice, romantic speakeasy atmosphere. We loved the live jazz and really enjoyed the whole experience. It would also be so much fun to dress up a little in Prohibition-era style for the night. For drinks, I had the Neapolitan and my husband had a Manhattan. Yes, the drinks are a little strong--but isn't that how they're supposed to be in a Prohibition speakeasy? Overall, we really enjoyed Alchemy 48. It's romantic, a little different, and the hidden entrance and riddle make it more of an experience than simply going out for drinks. Definitely a fun addition to a date night!
