Beef fried rice
Veronique R.

YYTime has the most romantic and date night vibe in the city, hands down. First of all, let's talk about the prices. Super affordable without skimping on portion size and quality. Fresh delicious food with an out of the world decor. Men, please take your lady ASAP. For the social media influences, RUN ‍ . Secret recommendations would have to be the pork belly skewers with a side of the beef fried. Not a combo but fire trust me

The soups at YYTime are perfect for a cold, snowy, wintry day in Cleveland! The decor inside is modern, bright, and colorful, and you can watch the snow falling while waiting for a big, steaming bowl of noodle soup to cool. I ordered the Rice Noodle Soup with Bone-In Beef, and it was delicious and satisfying. My partner ordered a fried rice dish, and it was excellent too. The Pumpkin Pancakes with Red Bean Paste were soft, warm, and sweet - a nice way to start and finish our meal. Friendly service, good portion sizes, convenient location with free parking in the front and back. Give this bright spot in Asiatown a try!

The restaurant itself is very spacious, clean, and new. It feels very comfortable. We had the cucumbers which were a great fresh starter dish. We enjoyed the chicken lo mein and really loved the spicy mini pork soup dumplings! The chicken bao were not our favorite, but we will definitely be back for more soup dumplings!

Came on a Saturday evening and were seated right away! The restaurant is easy to find and there's parking in the front and the back. The restaurant is very new and comfortable inside with trendy decor. The noodle soups come in boiling pots with noodles and toppings served on the side. You are also able to get one complimentary additional portion of noodles. The noodle texture is great and very fresh, and the soup bases were very flavorful. There are also many tea and slushy drink options which goes well with hot noodle soup. Would definitely recommend and will come again!

Food was good and steaming. The location is very modern and ordering was a tad confusing.

YYTime is famous for their rice noodle soup. I recommend getting the sour and spicy flavored crossing the bridge noodle soup (B5) the dish comes with sliced beef as well as other vegetables for you to add in the boiling soup. I also like their BBQ skewers and Sichuan brine meat and vegetables. You place an order by scanning the QR code on the table then the staff will bring food/ drinks out. They offer good selections of Chinese dishes and bubble tea drinks to choose from. There are many seatings inside and the place has a vibrant and modern vibe which is good for a get together with friends or family.

Bbq grilled chicken wings and lotus root

I love the interior vibe of this place with the unique decor and the cleanliness! Service was pretty good as well. Between my entree and trying stuff my family ordered, I was able to get a good sampling: - Signature rice noodle soup with braised bone-in pork: comes in a huge stone bowl that is in a plastic case so you don't get burned (smart idea). The soup had so much depth of flavor without being too salty, which is quite an accomplishment. Wasn't sure how I'd feel about lettuce inside soup, but I liked the fresh crunch. Good amount of noodles (which were good, but I wish they were a touch firmer), and the pork was delicious...I ate all the meat off the bone! - Mini fried pork bao (these were pan fried soup dumplings - sad that they didn't have the regular size buns, which I don't think are simply larger versions of this): had a nice potsticker-like crust on the bottom, flavorful pork, and tasty broth inside. - I tried some of the bbq grilled chicken wings and grilled lotus roots: they had a sweet and savory seasoning powder all over, like crack seasoning at HopCat! Very good. - Braised beef brisket with rice: tried some of the "mook" (deckle: cartilage connecting meat to rib cage) - sauce had good flavor but the mook was a little chewy, although I've had worse. Rice was shaped in a cool pyramid shape. I was torn between 4 and 5 stars because it really was an enjoyable meal! I'd definitely be back here to try other things!

The food was pretty good. I wasn't too familiar with the cuisine so navigating the menu was a little difficult but I relied on other yelp reviews for guidance. Do not remember what my main entry was (so sorry) but i was happy with my decision.

I visited on Friday evening, 13 December 2024 with some Yelp friends plus one non-Yelper (LOL). We met for dinner around 6:30pm/7:00pm. This is a very large restaurant so there are lots of seating available. I ordered the R4 (beef brisket with white rice - $13,99), the E2 (deep fried mini buns - $3.99), and a cauliflower side which isn't labeled with a letter on the menu - $4.99. The beef was fine but it needed more flavour. My favourite dish which was really a snack was the deep fried mini buns which tasted delicious as it came with thick condensed milk that the buns could be dipped in. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal. I want to come back and try their bubble tea. I can't wait to come back for lunch or dinner. **** GOAL of 365 reviews in 2025 - 4/365 total reviews in 2025 - 785 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 1 January 2025

A5. Rice Noodle Soup with Braised Beef Shank 一品牛肉米线
Sherman C.

The rice noodle soup with braised beef shank, the sour and spicy rice noodle soup with Xiangxi pulled beef, the spicy mini pork soup dumplings, and the mini shrimp soup dumplings were all excellent. There was no wait for seating, and the service was prompt. The soups were aromatic and flavorful, and the dumplings were tender and juicy. We had been looking for a good soup dumpling spot since our visit to New York City, and this place did not disappoint.

Came on a Sunday evening with some friends and was seated immediately! First thing is the restaurant is huge! Decor is really cute and service was quick. Noticed that they even had a boba bar. Ordered the beef noodle soup with brisket, a scallop vermicelli grilled seafood dish, pork belly skewers and shrimp dumpling. The noodle soup was delicious, perfect for the cold weather. The scallop dish was just okay. It had a garlic chili sauce over it that I wasn't a huge fan of. Pork belly skewers were yummy, they had a nice dry rub on them but the double skewers made it hard to pull the meat off. The shrimp dumpling was probably my favorite. It was pan fried with a crispy bottom and the shrimp was nice and plump!

This snow weather calls for hot flavorful soup, so the husband and I found ourselves driving to one of our favorite haunts - YY Time. And they do not disappoint for a weekend I was sceptical of wait times, but we got lucky - not too crowded and got tables in a couple of minutes! He ordered A5 and I ordered A6 and for appetizers we ordered crispy salty chicken. To say everything was amazing is an understatement! The pork chops in my soup were crispy and brought on the side, the soup was scalding hot, the noodles were slippery and had the perfect bite to it! The husband loved Sichuan hints in his soup. The salty crispy chicken was perfect and when asked the waiter got us some hot oil on the side as well and was even gracious to give us seconds. Overall they're amazing, I've been here before and they never disappoint. If this winter storm weather continues imma be there more often!

Spicy rice noodle soup with tofu
Katie E.

I came for lunch on a week day and was immediately seated with lots of tables available. The space itself is really beautiful and clean. There's a QR code on the table to place your order and then the servers bring it out to you. I ordered the spicy noodle soup with tofu. I chose mild as the spice level, but be warned that even mild is pretty spicy. I wouldn't have been able to handle any more than that and I like spice. The soup was really delicious and I loved the texture of the tofu. I would definitely come back!

Amazing food, very spicy but I enjoy that. Our waitress kept calling my sister her sweetheart and it was a very pleasant experience.

Is this place good for a large party, say a group of 9 people? Is it a sit down place or kind of a fast food concept (meaning you order your own food at the counter etc)? Do they take reservation? Thank you so much?

It's sit down. There are tables. They don't take reservations. People will come in to order food to go at the counter. When you arrive just simply let whoever greets you that you are dining in. It's very accommodating here & 9 shouldn't be a problem.

Is this place BYOB?

It isn't. No outside beverages can be brought in.

The pork buns may be some of the best I've had and on par with anything better. The texture was perfect moist, soft, and airy. The pork did not deviate from well done traditional dim sum and there was no surprise flavor alteration. The pork was sliced, not scrappings, well cooked, and fresh. The wonton soup was good, I've had better, but really good. The chicken low mein was good, I've had better, but it shouldn't disappoint you at all! The dumplings had a great flavor profile with a welcoming hint of ginger. If you're looking for authentic Chinese food look no further!

There was one particular time dinning here when the service was terrible, our wait time was egregiously long, and to top it off, the staff were really rude to my parents (the nicest, calmest people). That self-induced ban lasted almost 2 decades and I came back in 2022 at the invitation of my daughter's friend's family. The place was SWARMING and we had to wait for our table. There is free parking but it's limited and usually full up on the weekend. Cart service was quick but I had to go over to the dessert ones to get them to come to our table. Offerings were pretty standard and thankfully, the taste was overall pretty good. Nothing was cold, everything was steaming hot. Wish they had a few more items to select from. The restaurant space should be expanded by now since they are so popular. It's impossible to walk around with all the big tables and people squeezed together. Afterwards, I bought all the kids boba smoothies from their bar in the corner (smart thing to have apart from the dim sum). They upped their prices over the years but portions are the same. Still more affordable than Lao Sichuan in Pinecrest but not impressed with the auto 18% added to the bill (because...weekends?). Cleveland needs more dim sum options! I have dined here for dinner once upon a time as well and I remember the dishes being pretty good and authentic but those memories are from circa 1999-2000 so back in ancient times.
