Yet after her treatment, she said my skin looked "amazing" which left me a bit confused. It's hard to believe that anyone's skin could go from "terrible" to "amazing" with an hour of treatment. Pari didn't really explain anything that she was putting on me - what type of masks they were, what type of lotions she was using. She told me to stop my current skincare regimen if I wanted better skin. When I asked about alternatives to my current routine, her responses were rather vague. I was left feeling uncertain about how to improve my skincare routine. It seemed like she was gate-keeping a lot of her knowledge but was freely telling me how bad of a job I'm doing with my skincare and dissing other skincare products (namely from Korea). The facilities at Spavia were nice, relaxing, and clean. They even provide neck warmers for you to put on in the waiting room before your treatment which was such a nice touch. The massage itself was amazing. Before my treatment started Muammer went through all of the requests from the intake form to ensure he understood my preferences. Throughout my massage he did check-ins for pressure and gave me a heads of on what he would work on next which made me feel super comfortable. I do a lot of traditional weight training and my muscle really need to be worked on. To say that Muammer kicked my behind in the best possible way is an understatement. The front desk staff was very helpful -- walking me through the consent forms, showing me the changing area, and helping me set the password for my locker. After changing, you're given a robe and slippers. The robe is incredibly soft and almost weighted, which added to the comfort. It even has pockets for your jewelry or glasses. Phones are not allowed in the treatment area, and no video/photo is permitted past the changing room, which I appreciated (and respected) for privacy. The facial itself was extremely relaxing. The music was at the perfect volume, and the room lighting was dim without being too dark -- just enough to enhance the experience. The service included a hand and arm massage with hot stones and warm compresses, which was such a nice touch. One minute I was getting a scrub, and the next I was waking up -- it was that relaxing. They also have a retail area at the front where you can purchase the products used during your service. Overall, a wonderful first spa experience.
