Always enjoy the frozen yogurt here. Very clean and reasonable prices. Owner is quick to serve.

I'm so mad that I haven't been here before after living in the area since I was a kid!! Omg their French Custard froyo straight up tasted like ice cream. SO delicious! The matcha mango latte was so good and only $6.50 for a small size. The avocado shake was also good (tastes just like the one my mom used to make when I was a kid) and their brown sugar boba had such soft and tender boba pearls. Service was awesome and they serve you quickly. After we tried everything we bought, my sister said "I'm never gonna lose weight now." LOL same. Yumy Gurt, we love you and we WILL be back

I absolutely love this place! As a college student living nearby, it's become my go-to spot whenever I'm craving a treat or need a little study break. There aren't many boba shops around Pinole--the closest one I can think of is Sharetea--but honestly, this spot outshines them all. It's family-run, and I always see the same friendly guy taking my order--he's super kind and welcoming, which makes every visit feel personal and genuine. They offer a huge variety of drinks, affordable prices, and generous portion sizes, which makes it easy to keep coming back. I usually stop by before heading to a local café or the library to study. It's also a popular hangout for nearby high school students, which is always a good sign of a thriving and well-loved local business.

2701 Pinole Valley Rd Pinole, CA "Yumy Gurt" is a full service frozen dessert place that offers a variety of items at fair prices. This small place offers frozen yogurt, ice cream, sundaes, shakes, smoothies, flavored tea, coffee, and bubble milk. It has a prime location in a small plaza near the ramps for I-80. It's also across from Pinole Valley Shopping Center, and down the street from the Pinole Valley High School. I was in town for a Yelp Elite Event, and fellow Elite Annie L. recommended Yumy Gurt. They have a shared parking lot, but it appeared cramped so I parked on the street. It was a warm Sunday in Pinole, and the shop was a little busy with kids getting ice cream cones. Okay, I'm only interested in frozen yogurt, aka "fro-yo." The gentleman politely asked for my order, and I said.... Chocolate/Vanilla Swirl (Twist Combo), Small, with Lychee Jelly. ($4.45 + $1.00= $5.45) The non-fat choco/vanilla swirl was not too sweet, but had a good flavor. Not too chalky, with a slight tart taste. The lychee jelly was a generous serving for $1.00, and offered a unique texture and taste. Even though it's frozen yogurt, it didn't stand up well to the near 80*F temps. Oh well, I took my fro-yo to go. There were only a few small tables inside, and no outside seating. That's the only neg about Yumi Gurt, not enough seating. If you only want frozen yogurt, with no toppings, you'll get better value at a full service place like Yumy Gurt. I weighed the small cup, and it held 9-oz. $4.45 / 9-oz = less than 50 cents per ounce Check out their menu: https://yumy-gurt.square.site/ Would I return? YES, good fro-yo, good service, nice location.

Mr Jason is awesome and so wonderful . My Granddaughters can't wait to visit him on our Thursday grandma dates. They run to him Mr Jason !!! They get so excited This is a small family run business and during the colder months holiday season business slows down . Please support them if you can

I've lived in Richmond over a decade now and I'm not sure how this place slipped under my radar. So happy I finally found it. Mom & pop type of location. Run by a husband and wife whom are very friendly and efficient. They've got lots of options - bobas, smoothies, ice cream, soft serve & froyo. Haven't had anything besides the froyo and soft serve, but they have the standard flavors, but also unique flavors which are also tasty. Reasonably priced! Limited table and seating inside. Easy parking!

Everyone just wanted something cold from Menchie's. It was great, they had all my favorite flavors! I served myself some Pineapple, Mango, Passion Fruit/ Orange/ Guava, and Choco/Vanilla Twist. I added hot caramel topping. Price per ounce: 80 cents/oz (Sept 2025) Menchie's Frozen Yogurt is a self-serve, pay by weight, fro-yo shop. There's a cashier island and the fro-yo machines run along the back wall. There's a toppings counter that includes: wet, dry, liquid and fresh fruit toppings. I'm guessing there was a 2nd person working, because how could one person run the shop and keep the place so clean and organized. The young lady working the checkout was very polite, and even tried to sign me up for Menchie's Rewards. BTW, the frozen yogurt was very good. I was a bit amazed that it wasn't runny on a such warm day. The fro-yo had a thick and creamy texture. Not icy at all. The fruity flavors was cold and refreshing. The choco/vanilla swirl (twist) was creamy and smooth. It wasn't too sweet. FYI: There's 7 machines, 2 flavors each + the center swirl valve. So there's 21 flavors to choose from. Tables inside, and several tables outside on a small patio. Free parking I would return if I'm in the area again.

So this review is honestly disappointing for me to write. This last visit was the worst experience I've ever had here. The ice cream didn't taste right, and the presentation looked like no care was put into it at all. It felt rushed and sloppy, like they didn't even try. Even the ambiance felt off usually it's a fun, nostalgic spot, but this time it just felt unwelcoming and not up to par. I ordered what I thought was going to be a simple kids scoop, but somehow ended up being charged $7 for a vanilla shake--and still got a small scoop in a big cup. It just didn't make sense. On top of that, the sundaes we ordered were way smaller than usual and definitely not what we're used to getting here. For a place I've loved for so long, this was really disappointing. I'm hoping this was just an off day, but it definitely didn't live up to the Foster Freeze I remember.

Also on that list is trying every flavor of every gelato and sorbetto in pint sizes and bars before Summer's end. It is good to have life goals! This Hercules CA location is for their main office, not a retail storefront, but this HQ page is the only place I could think of to post my "Bravo" comments because my discovery of Naia was at Boise's Whole Foods. Happy surprise it is there given most of Naia's distribution is in Northern or Southern CA. Some flavors of both Naia sorbetto and gelato can be had in bar shapes and are displayed in a little freezer case. (In the Boise WF store it was near the coffee bar on the cusp of produce.) I note this same case, so it is Naia provided, in social media for other retailers and on Naia's FB page. Look for it at your retailer if they're in your area because the bar we chose, Recchiuti Burnt Caramel, was fantabulous for flavor and texture. And at only 150 calories in the bar it is guilt free to boot. (And yes, 'that Recchiuti' as in the famous SF located chocolatier and candy maker.) My Italian on both sides hubby thought it was delicious too and he is pretty-picky about gelato. I did peruse all the flavors of Naia pints in the freezer case in WF ice cream aisle but I had another errand after shopping and I knew my choices wouldn't stay frozen so I was going to leave empty handed. Then I literally said "yahoo" right out loud (seriously) when I saw the frozen bar little freezer display as I left produce for check out because a bar could be eaten in vehicle on the errand route. Next week's errand will be taking a cooler with ice packs in it to WF to load up one of each flavor to bring home along with a supply of different bars and park all in my home freezer to work my way through them between now and Labor Day. Who will judge? Life is short. PS If you're looking for retailers that sell Naia their map is here: https://www.gelaterianaia.com/wheretofind
