The building is a little old but the thai boat noodle is good, larb is decent. Lobby is in decent condition for the size and customer service could use some polish. Some times the wait is too long. One occasion, there were 4 of us there for lunch, it took just about 30 minutes for 4 bowls of pho noodle. read more

The service was awful my girlfriend had ordered pho and they said 15 minutes and when we arrived it had already been 15 and then they made me wait another 10 and I seen my pho was ready the whole time but the lady at the front decided to seat everybody and then even looked at my pho right in front of me and ignored it to make drinks and get rice for the people she had just seated and then she proceeds to go take more orders and now it's been 15 minutes and I ask her how much longer and she begins to chuckle and tell me I have no idea I haven't been back there at all when i clearly just look at my food and ignore it and make rice for someone who just entered and then I asked if the 2 Togo boxes of pho were mine and she again laughs and says I have no idea I haven't seen those or checked anything and then she asked a worker in the back and guess what my order was ready the whole time waiting right there just like I had thought and then she proceeds to just say here and walk off leaving my bag on the counter after making me wait almost 35 minutes for it. read more

Yummy Thai is exactly what the name says YUMMY! The food is fresh and prepared to your liking as far as spice level or bitter/tartness which was nice. I have the Larb on 2 separate occasions and it was excellent for a hot Merced afternoon. I've also had the spring rolls with peanut sauce yum! They waitress was great and the cooks were accommodating to my requests. I ordered spring rolls and chicken pho. The spring rolls were perfect but it was a small order compared to what other restaurants in the area serve. The pho really needed to be hotter..as in temperature wise but other then that was good. The real downside here is the location, it has a weird parking lot that is hard to get out of and would be really scary at night. Doubt I'll be back. read more

We had the appetizer platter that comes with (spring rolls, egg rolls, crab rangoon, and pot stickers) it was really good. Then we have the beef pho , and combo pho. The main waiter is very forgetful, service and response time is very slow. Gave us the menu and never came back to take our order until we went up to the front to let him know that we are ready. After taking our order instead of giving the order to the chef first he goes and takes another table's order, making our orders fall behind. Waited for an hour and still haven't got our food yet. Most of the other people that came to dine in already ate their food and left, we were the only table that are still waiting for our food. We decided to tell them to make our orders to go because my husband got to go to work. This is our favorite Thai restaurant and we come here all the time with no complaints but with this new waiter I don't think we'll be coming back because this is our second time with the bad service. I think I've tried every Thai food restaurant in Merced and this one is hands down my favorite. It's a bit of a hole in the wall and they have fans instead of ac, but what they lack in ambiance the make up in quality of the food. I drive extra to come here because the flavor and freshness of everything of I have ordered has been spot on. Also I have been on a very restrictive diet and they were very accommodating with my requests. Had their Thai boat it was very spot on! Their chili oil was actually spicy! It was skeptical initially due to no vehicles being in the parking lot and the location of it being in a hole in the wall.
