    Shawerma Steak Pita

I really really want to like this place. I haven't found good halal in the area since I moved here. The owner and his family seem so kind and the food is fresh and made on the spot, but the flavors are just missing. The beef shawarma was under-seasoned and over cooked, and I don't consider ground beef steak shawarma. The white sauce was bland and the gyro was ground up and dry. I'm hoping it will make some tweaks and come back stronger. I'll try the chicken next time and hopefully have a better review

Tried here for first time. I got the shawarma beef platter, the beef was so flavorful and well seasoned, plus so tender, rice was alright, a lot of flavor, but wish the rice was hotter temp wise. Pita slices were awesome, nice and fresh tasting. Their yummy white sauce was delicious, I appreciated the extra cup of for lettuce and tomato since it jazzy them since there plain on there own. They very quick to make orders here and very friendly as well

What a great find nestled in this random little strip mall. Not often one finds good Mediterranean cuisine done right but yummy platters has figured it out. Went here to check it out, it is definitely a repurposed Subway but they have done it right. The menu touches all your food from wraps, platters and the random wings, burgers and chicken fingers for those who don't partake. I went with a gyro meat platter, rice, veggies and white sauce. It was sooooooooooo good! Also I had wings which were good, cooked to crispy state and when I selected hot, that sauce was HOT! Staff was very friendly, use their punch card for a free meal and get yourself down to try this good food out. For this reason I gladly give them 5/5 stars.

So turns out Newburgh finally has a stand-alone halal slash shwarma stand-alone building. It's in the plaza across from dairy Queen in the town of Newburgh. Not an extensive menu but definitely well-crafted. The falafel pita wrap is definitely a must try. I would recommend asking them to lay off a little bit of the onion but that's really my preference. I also got the mixed grill to go and that was probably enough for two people to share the lamb and the chicken were really well seasoned and the hot sauce comes on the side. Just a fair warning this is just meant to be flavorful it's just a kick that makes your scalp sweat kinda hot sauce. The prices are really fair and the place is spacious and really well-kept. Services quick and the food comes out hot.

So everything is best except " staff should wear the hat/or cover their hair/head while putting food together". It's a big killer if you see hair in your food. Otherwise food is great, quantity is sufficient, interior is better, wearing mask for COVID-19, staff is welcoming and pleasant. Owner may want to take care of my suggestion as above.

The food was really good. My only complaint is the tomatoes were bad within both platters. I really enjoyed everything besides that. I also wish it came with more white sauce. I would eat here again while home to support a local business in hopes that the food was fresh. The packaging was well put together and the food arrived at an appropriate temperature.

    Price of coal ( falafel)

The falafel is not testy, looks like pice of coal, probably no change the oil in many weeks ,

Halal burgers have a different taste to it overall. I'm not an overall fan of the taste. The chicken platter wasn't bad. Nce assortment of platters available.

Update: We went back almost immediately because we couldn't stop talking about the first meal, and…read moresomehow it was every bit as amazing. The lamb shank was absurdly tender, the baba ganoush was smoky and rich, and yes, the ezme, beets, and pita remain mandatory ordering. But what really sets this place apart is the heart behind it. On a hard night for our family, a simple unexpected dessert brought genuine comfort and a smile when we needed it most. They don't just feed your stomach here. They feed your soul. I would go to war for this restaurant. An absolute gem, genuinely some of the best food I've had in the area!! I don't write glowing reviews lightly, but this place absolutely earned one. From the moment the food hit the table, it was obvious this was something special. Every single thing we ordered, from the mezze sampler to the drinks to dessert, felt like the best version of itself it could possibly be. Not one weak note. Even the pita bread was memorable. Warm, soft, fresh, lightly charred, and worthy of praise in a meal FULL of standout dishes. The mezze sampler was EXTRAORDINARY. The beet and goat cheese was one of those bites that makes you stop mid-conversation. The goat cheese was fresh, creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced by roasted beets that were unbelievably sweet and luscious. Honestly, they were almost candy-like. I don't know what they did to prepare them, but they were incredible. The spicy vegetable dip, Esme, was bright, vibrant, and bursting with flavor. Fresh, zippy, and balanced with just enough heat. The eggplant dip was equally impressive, with a silky texture, subtle tartness, mellow tomato notes, and that gentle pleasant bitterness that makes eggplant so satisfying when it's done well. The hummus was ridiculously creamy and rich with tahini, giving it a deep nutty flavor that made it one of the best hummus dishes I've personally had. We also ordered the Turkish manti, and they were fantastic. Little handmade parcels topped with cool yogurt and warm spiced oil that brought everything together beautifully. We didn't even manage to take a picture because by that point we were so completely absorbed in the meal that all manners disappeared and we just devoured them immediately. No photo. No pause. Just instinct. That might be the strongest endorsement I can give. The mint lemonade was perfect for a warm day. Bright, refreshing, tart, cooling, and mint-forward without being overly sweet. It tasted clean, balanced, and incredibly refreshing. Dessert completely sealed the deal. The Turkish revani was unbelievably soft, soaked through with milk, and had that luscious almost tres leches quality that makes every bite melt away. The fresh berries and raspberry sauce gave it just enough brightness and acidity to balance the sweetness beautifully. I had a cup of black tea with it, and the combination of cake, berries, and tea was one of those simple little moments that feels kind of magical. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Tasteful decor, warm atmosphere, and thoughtful design that feels welcoming without trying too hard. The service was friendly, attentive, and genuine. More than anything, the whole place feels like a labor of love. What blows my mind most is that this restaurant has apparently been here for over two years, and we somehow only just discovered it. We were legitimately mad at ourselves thinking about how many meals we could have had here already. Now we're just trying to make up for lost time!! For roughly $80 for two before tip, the value was outstanding. At first glance, the menu might look a little upscale, but once the food arrives, it makes perfect sense. The quality more than justifies the price. I've had good Mediterranean food before. This is operating on a completely different level. Without question, this is some of the best Mediterranean food I've had anywhere in the area, and I can't wait to go back.

We went for dinner at 6 pm on a Saturday, we thought we were the only ones there, again because of the empty parking lot. There were a few people already seated. We didn't have any reservations, and I thought - Why would we? We started with the appetizers, babaganoush and calamari. Both were good. My wife and I had the mixed platter for two. All the meats were tasty, seasoned well and weren't dry. For dessert, I tried the affogato, espresso over ice cream and that hit the spot. Overall, we were impressed. People did start coming in after 6 so it's best to reserve a table especially if you have more than 4 in your party. The don't serve liquor so it's BYOB!! For some, that might be the important thing to note .

He will fill you with his wealth of knowledge of Sri Lankan food as well as how his food is pure and wholesome. Food was very good. I had Sri Lankan rice entree specialty dish. Except for the the shrimp tasting like dried shrimp - which I hate with a passion the rest of the dish was pretty good. No complaints from my other guests who enjoyed their meals. The dessert was great. They have both vegetarian (including goat, beef, pork, shrimp, squid, and chicken) and non-vegetarian options. It fell short of five stars for two reasons: 1. the dried shrimp or dried fish taste in the dish (shimp, calamari, and chicken); and 2. the moderately high prices (I can only compare to prices at Indian restaurants in the city, and what people are typically paying for the same portion size at casual sit down restaurants) Since we don't frequent this location often it is a treat to stop by every once in awhile and introduce my friends to it. If you are on a budget and consume large volumes of food to be full, this is most likely a one off or a place you may want to skip. Otherwise, enjoy it. On premise parking lot and seems ADA compliant. It looks like it is in a house, but inside it is comfortable and casual. It appears there is allot more local customers than visitors from out of town. The interior plays tourist information on Sri Lanka while the interior is also decorated in culturally appropriate ascents. We were there on a Saturday for dinner and the space was fairly empty - perhaps two other tables occupied. It is in sort of a remote area outside the main drag of Beacon most are familiar with (not within reasonable walking distance). It's worth a try, especially if you are interested in healthier forms of food (ingredients).

The dining room was lively but we had a nice table and soon had water and bread, which came with a delicious sauce of some kind that had vegetables and cheese in it. It was so good they should sell jars of it! We ordered some shrimp cocktail to start (those were some giant shrimp, although it was only three and four would have been a nice even number) and then I had the rib eye for my main. It came out on a sizzling skillet and it tasted as good as it looked. It was also so big that I took half of it home for lunch and if possible, it tasted even better the next day. I was very pleased. The fries were also exceptional and even though the serving was big, I ate them all. I couldn't help myself!
