The chicken shawarma is by far the best I've had in the dmv coming from someone who's tried all the major places like George's, Muncheez, etc. The Hummus was authentic and tastes hearty and fresh. Truly a snack to indulge in no matter the day or time. Accompanied by the Lemon Mint drink leaving a cooling sensation and balancing out the flavor from the shawarma and hummus. tl;dr - food is decent but shady business practices makes it hard to want to visit again I went with a big group and they seemed confused we wanted to eat inside and not do takeout. We were seated but we had to ask the table to be cleaned (which they used windex to clean). The food took a bit to come out but that was okay. The beef and lamb were super tough and borderline inedible. The chicken shawarma platter and fries were good. We asked for water and they gave us kirkland bottled water (which they charged $2.50/ea for). The biggest issue I had is they charged an 18% service charge for dining in, but they did not disclose it. It's crazy for a restaurant to charge a service fee, don't disclose it, and ask for tip. We went here for dinner + hookah since I love Mandi food. I got the lamb Mandi which was amazing and I would just go back for that. The hookah is great and very reasonably priced ($20) with heated outdoor seating. The place is open till 4 am and has music and is usually packed so great for alcohol free nightlife (no alcohol since it's a halal place). I tagged this place to visit on yelp. So, I took a ride to Annandale from Woodbridge today. It was not worth it. There are too many like places near me that are so much better. Yummy Kabob had an odor; and not the spicy aromas I grew accustomed to from middle eastern restaurants. (I know, I should have left. But, I came so far, and their ratings were high). The place was freezings, so I waited in my car for my food. I ordered a combination of chicken and salmon kabobs, chickpeas, and yellow rice. Overall, the food was unremarkable, not bad, but not great. Instead of the chickpeas I ordered they gave me spinach. Unfortunately, I was home before I discovered this. Good food, kind of awkward experience. I had been wanting to try this place because it's in such an unusual location and it's near the Cross County Trail (not a lot of businesses are). First of all, this place is a bit hard to find as it's located to the side of a gas station on a service road. The parking lot in front is also pretty small. Service was fairly slow. There was no one else dining in when we were there but they had a few take out orders. It took us a while to get water. The food was pretty good. I would say slightly above average. My lamb was tender and well seasoned. The rice and chickpeas were average, nothing special.
