When you want quick and simple Chinese take out Yummy Garden is a solid option in EHT. The Beef or Chicken Ho Fun always hits the spot. I usually request less oil and less 'sauce' because I'm Chinese like that. The veggies used in the stir fry are always fresh (like not wilted bean sprouts and not brown looking herbs). The actual flat rice noodles (Ho Fun) held its shape and texture and didn't turn into mush. Nothing has that 'frozen' freezer burn taste to it, so it's a win in my palate. And I don't mind their hot and sour soup at all, there's good flavor and kick, and it's the consistency of what you'd expect hot and sour soup to be. read more

The YG opened a month ago, and it caught my eye as I was going into Shoprite. For some reason my touchstone for a new chinese takeout is always the same order; wonton soup, hot and sour soup, and a shrimp egg roll... Wonton soup's broth was flavorful, and the wonton filling was good, I think the wontons may have been a little overcooked, I like them firmer than what was served. Hot and sour soup was quite tasty, it had all the elements that you expect; hot, sour, tofu, and the vegetables were crisp which I like and not usually what I am used to getting at most takeouts. Shrimp egg roll was nothing out of the ordinary just ok. I love the fact that the place has opened up just a few stores away from Shoprite which makes it convenient to pick up something quick after you order while doing your shopping. Food is not only made with ingredients, but with love and hospitality and the comfort. We had lunch and it was so good. They made us feel home and served us the hot food on a rainy day on my son's birthday. After a tired say, when we were so hungry- I have searched with zero expect to find anything good. Overall I'm just not a fan of American Chinese food, however there are times when I'll want to indulge in some generic Chinese food. Yummy Garden's isn't exactly a restaurant that I would recommend if you want "real Chinese food" but they do have huge portions for what you do end up ordering. They are a quick and easy option and are very quick to get you what you want. The food is well seasoned, however they are a bit too greasy for my liking. read more

YG is in the shoprite English creek plaza. It's fairly new, we got a menu in the mail the other day and it stated grand opening. My wife and I are new to the area and thought that how awesome to have a Chinese take out super close to where I live. We ordered take out, we got the general tso's shrimp, chicken and broccoli combo, egg rolls and hot and sour soup (based off of Steve K's review) General Tso's shrimp - the portion they give you is huge, the shrimp themselves are surprisingly huge as well. If I were to guess they are colossal or super colossal shrimp. In some cases this would be a great thing; however in this application bigger is not always better. If the shrimp were more in the extra large category it would have been a better experience. They would have been meaty enough to make you feel like your eating shrimp but small enough to pop in your mouth one by one. Instead I'm sitting here eating 1 shrimp is 3 bites cutting with a knife. The quality of the shrimp could have been better they tasted really shrimpy but not in a good way, they weren't crispy like general tsos usually is, however it would be from steaming inside the Togo container; the sauce was eh not very flavorful and really sweet. Chicken and broccoli - pretty standard compared to other Chinese restaurants except the Chicken was super chewy which was a turn off. Egg rolls were standard The best thing we ate was the hot and sour soup. It was very flavorful (sweet, spicy, sour) , full of vegetables and we both thought it was some of the best we had. Thanks Steve K. If you didn't mention it I wouldn't have ordered it. Overall the food isn't impressive. I would have given 1 star but the hot and sour soup put me to 2 stars. Wings looked like steroid wings, very oily and had a weird cinnamon taste. Wings were under cooked and oily .A normal Chinese restaurant give you 4 wings but they only put 3 in my box. Pork fried rice was just damped with oil. This place is just awful. read more

Not so yummy for my tummy...I was excited to see a well rated (on Google) relatively new Chinese Food shop and ordered more than I should have to `sample`. My $15 combo of bone in Spare Ribs was 4 not so meaty leaning toward dry bones.The Fried Rice was super dry and not tasty at all. The Cold Sesame noodle app I specifically asked to put in a sep bag to keep cold was put in w/hot and served hot not cold we had to freeze it..(it was also Waaaay more hot than we have ever had on sesame noodles). The egg roll was dry and flavorless,teh wonton soup,while plentiful was teetiring on bland..My partners brocolli garlic was `good` but said the rice was also dry. We sadly tossed out most of the order and will not be retturning..If we wanted bad Chinese food we would have used one of the 3 not so great ones in our own town rather than 3 towns away.. read more

The food is excellent. The staff is very nice. Order there about once a week. Food is always fast, delicious and hot. Prices are very reasonable for the quality food they serve. Your order will be ready sooner if you place the order inside restaurant and it always just faster than ordering online. read more

Every time I do door dash to this place it takes them 30 min to come out with the order along with other customers that called in their Oder also takes them 30 min for there food after being told 15 minutes it will be done. All together if you order your door dash to this place and the guy take 45 min to order your food you know why.... read more

This is my favorite spot for Chinese food in the area. Tried it on a whim, and won't look back. Garlic chicken was just the right level of spice, and the pan fried dumplings were excellent. Chicken with broccoli is also on point, and the egg rolls were super crispy on the outside with tender veggies on the inside. read more

My wife called to order chineese food. I went to pick it up 15 minutes later. When i got there I paid and told the lady the name. She starred at the computer for about 5 minutes. Then she said ok. I waited a another 10 min. I said to them my wife called a half hour ago where is my food. I asked them if they actually put the order in when I got there. They admitted yes. They should have told me when I got there to give me the option. All together I waited 45 min. They gave me a bottle of soda. Big deal. So when I got home to eat. I had shrimp fried rice and beef with chi. Veg. The shrimp where a weird orange color and tasted raw. They came out of a can. So I was afraid to eat it. My dinner there was hardly any beef and it wasn't cooked. I will never go there again. I've been a customer since it opened. It was always ok. But after this I'll never be back. Food is very good. Not oily. They have Walnut Shrimp on the menu, which is hard to find. The shrimp are very big , cooked to perfection and they are very generous with the portions. General chicken could be spicier. Very friendly when taking your order. Our new go-to for Chinese take. read more
