I have been coming to Yummy Cupcakes for probably over a decade, ever since I was in high school. I'm glad that they survived the decline of the cupcake fad, because I love their really unique flavors! Some flavors are definitely better than others, but honestly everything here is good. Cupcakes are around $4.50 a piece, and I would say are slightly larger than the average. Parking is usually easy to find right outside or on nearby streets, and I've never had to wait in line for too long.

I had a birthday deal to claim and decided to go in on a Saturday morning (what better treat to accompany my coffee). It's a small shop right on Magnolia, so there's definitely street parking available and other shops to browse and stop by, if you want to make a mini walk out of it. The place is clean and very simple. There's a display with all of their cupcake varieties. They did have samples available but I think if you want to try something, you can ask them and they'll give you a small taste. They have cupcakes, mini cupcakes, and also cookies! Prices are reasonable. Service was great. There were a few people ahead of me in line but it honestly went by pretty quickly. It seems most people have their go-to favorites already in mind. I opted for the espresso cupcake. It's a chocolate cupcake with espresso frosting... and omg, it was delicious. It was SO good. It wasn't overpowering or too sweet, the flavors blended so well together. I never eat the frosting on most things, but I definitely ate all of this cupcake together. Make sure to put in your number at checkout to get their deals :) Also good to keep an eye out for their seasonal flavors; they all looked good too.

Cute little cupcake shop. My go to spot if ever craving some sweets. They offer a wide array of options, including vegan cupcakes, which is absolutely wonderful. Not only are the cupcakes so pretty, they all taste amazing. What do you do when you can't decide on which one to buy? Just buy a dozen, or two!

Yummy cupcakes really are yummy! It's been a few years since I've had one of these tasty treats and since I parked in front of the shop before heading into Palm Coffee Bar I decided to stop in before going home. They've definitely expanded their offerings since the last time I was here. In addition to traditional cupcakes they have vegan, glutenless, GL vegan, Apple Cider Donuts, biscuits, cookies, croissants, cupcakes in a jar, and even cupcakes for your pups. There were so many delicious options to choose from that I had a hard time deciding. There are a lot of unique flavors that you won't find elsewhere. I selected the Brown Sugar Cinnamon cupcake, because it was something different, and a chocolate chip cookie sandwich. The Brown Sugar Cinnamon is a moist vanilla bean cupcake with a brown sugar/cinnamon crumble and a swirl of creamy vanilla buttercream frosting on top. It was like having a crumb cake with frosting. Yum! I'm not sure who came up with the idea to put frosting in between two chocolate chip cookies but this was a match made in heaven! The cookie was huge with lots of chunks of chocolate chips and a creamy vanilla buttercream center. This could easily be cut into quarters and shared with 4 people, but I was glad I didn't have to share it with anyone. Oink. Oink. If I lived in the area I would be here every day until I worked my way through the entire menu. Next time you want to treat yourself (or someone special) stop by Yummy Cupcakes. Your tummy will thank you.

I was in search of vegan dessert - was going over to my friend's place for xmas, she is vegetarian but her hubby is vegan, which limits what we can bring over. I was in Burbank for a doctor's appt and decided to stop by this place and pick up some desserts. They were unfortunately out of vegan cookies, so I got half a dozen vegan cupcakes - sugar cookie, vanilla, vanilla chocolate, chocolate chocolate and two others. They were very pretty and packed nicely. Brought them over and they were a hit! I honestly can't tell the difference. They also had regular cupcakes and cookies - got myself a regular chocolate chip to go. Overall a great place with a variety of choices.

Super friendly and they have a lot of health and safety measures in place during covid. I went inside to see the cupcake options (which are past a protective barrier) and ordered the eggnog, vanilla bean, and cinnamon brown sugar. The cinnamon brown sugar was my favorite! I easily paid with credit card and parked for free on the street.

Their New York rolls were full, rich, flaky, and flavorful. Unfortunately, over the past year, the quality has gone completely downhill. The croissants are now dry, overcooked, and tasteless , even early in the morning. It honestly feels like they changed the butter because the flavor is gone. The pastries look beautiful for Instagram, but the taste no longer matches the image. People probably come for the terrace and the "Paris" aesthetic, but nothing about these pastries feels authentically French anymore. The owner is Iranian and honestly should stick to Iranian pastries instead of trying to market this place as a French pâtisserie, because it is nowhere close to the quality or refinement of a real French pastry shop. On top of that, customer service is terrible. The employees are rude, impatient, and act bothered when you ask simple questions like the price of a croissants ; especially since prices are not clearly displayed. Paying almost $7 for a croissant or New York roll, and $10+ for many pastries, would maybe be acceptable with excellent quality and service... but definitely not with dry pastries and rude staff. Parking is another nightmare. There's no dedicated parking lot, so you have to park on San Fernando, pay for parking, and parking enforcement is constantly circling waiting to ticket people the second your time expires. This was my last visit. Save your money and go elsewhere for pastries -- honestly, even Whole Foods does better at this point.

There are a couple of small round tables covered with umbrellas for small parties if you want to do a small meet up or wait for your goods. We had wanted some croissants and apple tarts but unfortunately they had run out of the Apple tarts by the time we ordered (another excuse to return next time). We were convinced by the nice lady at the register to pick up not one but two almond croissants because they were fresh out of the oven and I'm SO GLAD we did. It was still hot/warm when we took our first bite after walking back to our car -- flaky amazing lamination with a steaming frangipane filling, for sure the best almost croissant I've had. The regular croissant was also good but not fresh/warm like the almond croissant so it left less of an impression but I can imagine it also tasting amazing if we got it fresh. I ended up trying the Chocolate Almond Croissant for $6.50, and let me tell you something -- I am a HUGE croissant girlie. While I'm not normally the biggest chocolate person, Spain and Portugal recently changed my perspective on dark chocolate, and apparently now I'm in my dark chocolate era. And honestly? This croissant was BETTER than the super popular pastry we had in Barcelona, Spain. The chocolate wasn't overpowering at all -- it had the perfect amount of dark sweetness without being too rich. But the real surprise was the almond filling layered at the bottom. Oh my gosh... chef's kiss. Nutty, creamy, not overly sweet, and perfectly balanced. Chocolate Almond Croissant -- 9.2/10 I can only imagine how life-changing this would taste fresh out of the oven piping hot. Service was fast despite the line moving constantly, but just know there's no indoor seating. It's very much an order, pick up, and go type of spot. Ambiance was welcoming and super friendly gals. Definitely a must-try, and I'll absolutely remember to stop by again anytime I'm in Burbank. Happy eats!!

And don't even get me started on the desserts. Their ube bread pudding tastes like chocolate cake and comes with ube ice cream.
