It's my first time to try out with this delivery app since Amazon wholefood can't deliver to me. I made online order at 9am and waited for 2 hours... but I can't track my order neither by phone call nor email back to midcity@yummy.com & yummyhq@yummy.com and even more, I sent an instagram message to @whyrunout , NEVER RESPONSED until now. I understand this crazy pandemic time, but AT LEAST, they should answer customer's phone call or email request as per tracking my order if they can accept my online order with my CC info. & sent me an order confirmation number. Doesn't it??? If not, what is the online delivery app for??? I feel very unsecured with this store app & customer service, so I will just call my Credit card company and ask for disputing this payment. Adding:: I got insta message from them, and if I got confirmation number then, I should get my delivery within few hours. So I will wait if it deliver to me by today. I've been to this store like 3 times and every time a girl in the evening shift always has an attitude like if she has something stuck up there. The owner/ manager needs to do better on who is in the front doing customer service because this store sure does lack of it and a lot. For the past 3 days have been just trying to pick up dinner on my work break between 6-830 pm for the past few days as mentioned. Each time I go in they say it closes at 9 but the lady already left for the day. Why state a closing time if she doesn't show up to work or if they make the decision to send her home early they need to be responsible and have someone to cover for the few orders that may come in. Extremely poor customer service. First time I ordered I was missing items for about $7 but I did get charged for them. I thought maybe that's just an accident especially with everything going on right now. I gave them another try, again items missing for almost the same amount. It's not a lot of money, true. I love this store. The kids in the store are really helpful to elderly people. When covid-19 first broke out I had problems getting delivery. Even though their services was partially shut down, they made special deliveries to my apartment. After things settle down and I was able to shop at other stores. They personally called me to ask me if I was okay. Come on man, you can't beat that. Some of the people know me by name some don't, but they always give me the same courteous, respectful attendance if I have a problem. Actually I wish I could give him stars. read more

Very convenient when you're stuck at home and can't get to your regular supermarket. Good quality name brand items. Prices are reasonable on some and kind of high on others. Delivery took a little more then 30 minutes but in rush hour traffic I wasn't expecting any sooner. Food arrived in good condition. Well packed. Delivery driver was very pleasant. I'm giving 4 Stars instead of 5 for 2 reasons. One, I think their mobile site is just okay, maybe a little clunky and would be much easier to use if they had an App. And two, given their moderate to high pricing I was a little turned off by an additional 5% charge added on to your total order as a "Wellness " fee (that is revenue to the store, not a tip to employees). Beware when you use their app. I've been complaining about their app for over a year but I guess the owners just don't give a shit. It is slow it does not clear out your last order and I just ordered three orange juices and they sent me eight. They do this all the time and probably because you have 10-year-olds running your business. It takes me a half hour to order 8 or 9 items the app is so slow and they deliberately make you think you're ordering one of something when you're actually ordering five. The physical store itself is great: workers are courteous and friendly, the shelves are clean and well-organized. However, the whole reason they exist is as a grocery ordering and delivery system. In this respect, they fail. Almost every time I order from them something which is shown as available on the website ends up being out of stock, resulting in my being initially billed for the missing item. Love this place! they have the best berries out there. Blueberries and raspberries are spot on every time even in the off season. I stopped by Yummy this past weekend for a few items. I usually LOVE this store but had to write a review to condemn what I viewed as lax COVID protocols. When I walked in, I saw two people inside the store with NO facemasks eating food. I asked the clerk (who was wearing a mask), whether they allowed people to eat inside the store without masks. She said yes. Because I knew this kind of practice could put me and others (including store employees) at risk, I quickly left. Absolutely horrified that I spent my money here. Stopped by inbetween jobs to grab some lunch, opted for the Chicken Caesar salad, thought I'd keep it simple because it was my first time. Yummy neighborhood is just that, a back to basic market providing a small ambience if you're considering on ditching the conglomerate world of supermarkets who by the way, I heard on AM radio Local 770 is announcing a major strike with local signatory stores. Yummy caters to mostly online orders with a fleet of commercial vans ready to dispatch to your address. Free delivery if you exceed $100. Forget about the previous storefront I mentioned all dark with security bars, the new façade welcomes walk-ins with a bright aluminum storefront with clear glass along with new power assisted doors. Sidewalk eating if you choose to take your deli item to front of store. I guarantee you won't have direct sunlight because after 12 pm it's all shade. Once inside, it's very simple to navigate. You have fresh produce up front next to cashiers and a deli section ready to take your orders with chalkboard or paper print menu. This neighborhood market is different because they do carry pretty much all of your household goods all consolidated under one roof with just the basics. All major name brands with a few hidden generic goods. Wine, beer, liquor, meats, fish, grilling goods, frozen goods, dairy, hygiene, health medicine, pet food, general merchandise and organic goods. Open ceilings with exposed stained concrete floors, succulents strategically placed, employee's keeping shelves "faced off' and I was approached if I needed help. Honestly, this little market comes with a punch and I wouldn't let the size discourage, anyone. Ample parking on the side on a private property. Rotten vegetables... Yummy! Called to get a refund, but the would only issue one if I go to the store... now what's the advantage of a delivery service then? Also, I should mention, that none of their produce has sell-by dates on them. No wonder the employees give you rotten and moldy food. It doesn't offer the ultra gourmet like WF or BF, but it offers some things you might not find at a standard supermarket. Nice deli too. Their niche is also in quick neighborhood delivery. Spend over $100. and delivery is free, otherwise $4.99 charge. I've observed their produce closely and if you pick it yourself from their bins, it will be fine, but some complain that what they home deliver isn't always up to par. read more

Love this place because of the employees! They are so polite, helpful, and real. I also love this it is small and easy to park. We get a little freaked out at busy places especially since the pandemic so it is great to be able to quickly park and go in knowing it wont be crowded. Of course the delivery service is awesome too. I know I've gotten some of the best fresh produce from them when I couldn't find it anywhere else. I live around the corner, so I only come here for quick necessities. The way they display their prices is very misleading. Today I came to buy some sponges, and the ones I grabbed (a 3-pack, not sold individually) were marked as $1.99. I grabbed two packs, but at check-out the total was over $10. I was very confused. I look online later, and I guess the 3-pack is sold as $4.59, even though in the store that is not the case. I had a similar experience buying toilet paper. Thought the price was decent, then at check-out it's a lot more expensive. I will make sure to check their prices online first before getting misled by their in-store prices. read more

I hate going to the grocery store here in LA. The traffic and the lines and parking. I would rather starve. I have lived close by this location for almost two months now and finally went in. It is really nice and looks trendy and just not a place I would normally shopped. Of course I left my wallet at home so I had to go twice. Both times I walked in I was welcomed by the staff at the front register. This is probably the first time since I have lived in LA that multiple employees have been so genuine and welcoming as I entered a store. They have a great variety of vegetables and produce but only a few of each item so it all looked really fresh. I felt bad for judging the place from the outside simply cause it was nice and looked expensive. I kept looking at the price for the head of cabbage because it said $0.89. I was so confused. I thought for sure I was missing something. I planned on paying three time that at least. Went to checkout and again the woman who rang me up said $0.89. I couldn't get over the prices. The time money and effort I saved was great. The soup is now made and going to warm up a few homeless down in skid row.
