We often wonder in here on Sunday after our usual brunch spot. It's amazing and always clean. The staff is friendly and the shop is always clean. My children also appreciate that frozen is playing almost 90+ percent of the time in the background. Self serve means you never end up paying an arm and a leg for a really small cup of the kids never eat. Self serve also means the kids want 19 different flavors in the cup and don't eat all of it either! I guess there's no winning when it comes to frozen yogurt. Disappointed since pinkberry and fro yo in general spots have declined. Why?? It's dessert without all the guilt! Anyways, this place was awesome to find with great flavors to choose from! Fresh and clean ingredient bar also is a plus. 1 star off due to not being able to sample flavors but I can definitely understand if ppl especially kids get a little overzealous with their "sample" and fro yo spilling everywhere. I've been coming here for years and this has been my favorite yogurt shop, but not anymore. TERRIBLE management. The manager was rude and disrespectful and refused to honor my $10 reward credit (photo shown of receipt below as proof.) He was claiming that I didn't have any reward credit on my account but as clearly shown on my receipt, I do. He said that his system "isn't wrong" and that I was incorrect despite explaining to him that I just chose not to use my $10 credit last time I came in, so my points started back at 0 and that's why I currently have a $10 credit PLUS 42 points from my purchase today, as seen on the receipt. Either way, despite the proof clearly shown to him, this man had his employee tell me that he wanted to "speak with me on the phone" and tried chewing me out over the phone after I just purchased $16 in yogurt despite not letting me use my credit. He was rude, dismissive, got loud with me, and had an attitude. This is not a way to do business AT ALL. You've lost a loyal customer today instead of just admitting it was user error on your new employees part and giving me the credit I clearly had available to use. It's not about the $10, it's about the principle of cheating someone out of their reward and being so incredibly rude and dismissive to a paying customer. With 16 choices (all working I might add) and more toppings than I cared to count, this is clearly my number 1 spot for FroYo. Also, many of their selections are Gluten-Free, Vegan, and they have Kosher, and Non-Sugar options as well! - so it's a treat that everyone can enjoy. I couldn't decide, so I had a little Strawberry with Cheesecake Pieces, Cheesecake with Strawberry Chunks, Pistachio with Hazelnut Crisps, and THE MOST UNUSUAL FLAVOR I'VE EVER TASTED - Mango-Habanero! I found a yumilicious less than a month ago and I've already been there 5 times Their yoghurt is honestly one of the best I've tasted in a while! It's so rich and creamy and the tart ones (which are my favorite) have the right amount of tart for me. It's a very comfortable space in a nice neighborhood so you can always take a walk if you don't want to sit inside, it's very family friendly as well. Driven past here a million times and the first time I noticed/stopped in to the store was while attending The Taste of Eastside (unlimited food tasting of some of the restaurants in the center for merely $3 that goes to a charity). So we were given a cup to go sample the frozen yogurt. I liked the set-up of the store - pretty modern/clean look with a pop of color from the orange seating. The froyo machines are set into the curved wall with the flavors listed on top, in groups of two. You pour (?) your selection and take it up to the counter to add toppings of your choice. Each machine "section" houses two flavors, with a pull handle to swirl the two flavors if you so choose. With about 15 flavors to choose from, and multiple topping options, you could get quite creative! While they had some exotic flavors like Mango Habanero, Avocado Tart, and Pomegranate Raspberry (to name a few), I stuck with the Dutch Chocolate. It was delicious, not too sweet! I've been here so many times, I finally joined their rewards program :) They have a myriad of delicious flavors but I always come back to the plain tart which I like here better than other places. I just add some assorted fresh fruit, granola, and chopped nuts for a healthy-ish treat. But fear not, they have plenty of unhealthy toppings to satisfy your sweet tooth. The store is clean, bright, and never very crowded or loud. And there are video games and a giant Connect Four if you get bored. They used to have fun spoons that would change color with temperature but I haven't seen them lately. Tips: Be sure to get some sample cups near the toppings bar and sample flavors before deciding. I love froyo. What's not to love? I've had froyo from many different locations, chains and independently owned in Dallas and around the US thanks to my work travel. Yumilicious locations always have the best variety, but this particular location is THE BOMB, BEST OF THE BEST, HANDS DOWN. The location is always clean (a rarity), leaves sample cups out for testing new flavors (win), and always has the best variety of rare and new flavors. I live 15 minutes from this location and pass no less than 3 other froyo establishments on my way without regret or pause. Mango habanero? Yes please! Avacado? I was suspicious. Now it's a go to for me! Taro? Ummmm isn't that a root? Uhhh I'm not sure (at first). This is now a staple! Sesame? It's black. Well, more like a sludge Grey. And tastes like... sesame... saw it for the first time and tried it last night - WINNER! The toppings are more plentiful than other locations. This is the only place I've seen both flavors of popping boba out at the same time. They are my favorite! Also, this location is open until 11 on weekends which is awesome. He even took us outside to show where the booth was set up. The store was extremely clean which is important for an OCD person like me. Locally-grown yogurt corporation, whose first shop is in Uptown Dallas, that doesn't use yo-cream that is typical of substandard yogurt places, and on par with California's Yogurt-land (which also doesn't use yo-cream). Very fresh fruit toppings and plenty other topping choices. $1 can make your 42-cents-an-ounce yogurt into a smoothie (2% milk added). Fresh-tasting flavors from 12 self-serving locations - some tart and some not. My favorites are the mango habanero (slightly spicy) and the avocado tart. I also thought the pomegranate raspberry sorbet was just good but it pales to the berry sorbet from Paciugo (which I can compare since a sorbet has no egg, milk or yogurt). The toasted marshmallow flavor was also good. But I might just stick with the favorites and the fresh fruit toppings. I look forward to trying new flavors from this place. I visited Yumilicious recently with a couple of friends, and I was a little nervous, because last year, I tried a place other than Pinkberry and was sorely disappointed. Upon walking in, I noticed that the place was very large and roomy, with comfy seating and a nice patio. Then I looked on the wall and saw that the yogurt was self-serve, with LOTS of options. I think it was at this moment that I internally said "aww yeah!" They had a lot of great flavor options...Avocado, yes, but also cookie dough (which I picked), red velvet, coconut, lychee, pina colada...and there were lots more! You choose a cup size for your fro-yo, and fill it with either as much or as little as you want. Then there's the topping station, which was crazy awesome! They have every topping option that Pinkberry has, plus a few extras! The fruit is very fresh, too, which I feel is extremely important. Again, you get to put as much or as little as you want. Best of all, the fro-yo is priced by weight, as opposed to how many toppings you want. I got a medium cup with Capn' Crunch, sliced almonds, strawberries, blueberries, and a cookie. The girl behind the counter was extremely rude to my sister and I. We came in with a happy mood but left sad and unwelcome. From the moment we walked into the building we were not greeted with a hi or a smile. Instead the girl behind the counter looked disgusted at us. I noticed that they had small cups so I took one to try their samples. Some of the frozen yogurt was still left in the sample cup which I placed on the table. The girl behind the desk rushed to throw my sample cup away. When I told her that that wasn't necessary, she said "are you gonna pay for it?" And then threw my sample cup away. Also, there was a bowl of candy in front of the counter, my sister took a couple for my siblings and I and then reached in to grab a little more. Then the lady behind the counter angrily took away the entire bowl of candy and hid it away telling my sister that she "had already taken like 20" when my sister actually only took 5 pieces. The service there was so bad and the lady was extremely rude, she said we couldn't try anymore samples because we "were trying to piss her off." When I asked if she was the manager she said "yeah actually I am" but she didn't behave like a manager at all so I highly doubt that she actually is. Honestly I believe she has some sort of mental illness because nobody should treat their customers the way she treated us. Don't go to this froyo place, there's so many other places that are better and treat people with respect. It's overpriced anyways. read more
