    Chicken and shrimp hibachi

Yume has got to be one of my favorite spots for hibachi. The food is always delicious and you definitely get a bang for your buck when ordering. I love that for the dinner menu they give you noodles AND fried rice, generous amounts of veggies and meat! I always order takeout but the service has always been great when it's time to pick up. Definitely give them a try if you're ever around.

To the left is the sweet potato roll. At the top of the photo is fancy roll & and the bottom roll is seafood roll.

I am a bit of a food snob, & the menu was worded crudely, so I wasn't sure what to think. However, I was pleasantly suprised. We ordered a seafood roll, a fancy roll & a sweet potato roll & split them. All 3 were good, but the Seafood roll was my favorite. My companion preferred the Fancy roll & we both enjoyed the sweet potato. Our waitress Grace was a pip! She is a fashion design student & spoke perfect English, just very very fast. She is a gem. I would definately recommend it & return myself.

Pulled in on this Tuesday afternoon to an empty parking space right in front of the place. Went inside around 12:30, and the place was slow. What happened? Years ago I came in here and this was the place to be. It was jamming. It was packed, it was hopping! I ordered a martini and a number 13 lunchbox, along with the Philadelphia roll. The miso soup was delicious that came with the lunch. My number three lunchbox also consisted of seaweed salad, a crab salad, a shrimp roll, three hand rolls that were salmon, squid (I think) , and tuna. Also accompanying this dish was sticky rice with a crunchy topping. I also ordered a Philadelphia roll, which had the cream cheese in it, because I hadn't had one in a long time and just had to try it The number 13 lunchbox for $15 was totally worth the money. It was delicious and served quickly, I liked the Philadelphia roll, even though I'm no big fan of cream cheese on rolls. The pomegranate martini was solid. Oh my God I could sit here all day Good. This was a great experience, and reasonably priced. This place is handicap accessible all the way around, including ramps and bathroom. I look forward to returning here. I'm just surprised that it wasn't busier than it was because this place is really good. So if you're in the Unionville area, and looking to go to lunch, consider this place.

9 rolls don't remember all the names

Takeout review: I was celebrating my birthday and I was craving sushi. My husband and I had takeout from here and the sushi was fresh and delicious. We ordered online and pickup was easy. We ordered nine rolls; yes, we love sushi and we can eat! The prices were comparable to other sushi restaurants. I can't remember all the rolls names but here were a few I do remember: Philadelphia Roll Spicy tuna roll Spicy salmon roll Eel avocado roll Shrimp tempura roll Again, all tasted fresh and I liked all nine that I've tried. I will definitely order from them again!

    Our leftovers!

The sushi at Yume is fantastic. We highly recommend the Phoenix roll. But what makes Yume exceptional is the service! We love Pat! She is so much fun and always makes our experience at the restaurant extra special! Thanks, Pat!

    Hibatchi!

So last week, I went to a national chain for hibatchi and it was fine but missing that charm that Yume has. The Hibatchi really is top shelf here and has everything you want if you want hibatchi. Good portions. Noodles and rice included. Lots of veggies. Two shrimp. Sake squirted into your mouth. Catching flying squash in your mouth too. It was entertaining but the food was quite good too. It's easy to take this place for granted but teens love this place and they did a really nice job for a birthday group.

Very friendly place with comfortable seating. It is both exotic and a hometown feel. We liked our meals a lot and plan to return.

Izzie is the best bartender in CT! Monika is great, we loved our coworker event at the bar

Nice bag 'o' trash sitting next to us during the meal.

She went on to explain that each dish is created with specific textures and flavors in mind to create an intentional balanced bite. She is absolutely correct and I am so glad we listened. In fact, after trying the "second" bite with soy sauce, we recognized that it was much better without it. The soy sauce is homemade and delicious but the sushi is so perfectly executed, it really does not need anything at all to shine. This is not your average sushi joint. The food and service will blow you away. Get the Princess Peach Roll if it's available. The Tiger Roll and the Flame Touch were also fantastic. Clearly a great place to bring your family. My wife personally enjoys the fresh made house salad dressing as I do too. I've tried the plain Chicken Wings (crispy), boy do they ever come out so delicious and hot. The Boneless Sticky ribs are sweet and tasty. The person on the phone said they will call me when the order is ready in 45 minutes; I thought that was odd because I never had a place say that. The restaurant is in a quiet plaza and looked like it was a sit in restaurant at one point but turned into a takeout only place. They also gave us a couple egg rolls and crab rangoons for free; it was okay and had little to no filling, but I guess it's the thought that counts. The sushi was fresh, tasty, and CHEAP. I read that if you order sushi too late, they can run out. We got all our sushis and was very impressed by the quality and quantity for the price. This is definitely my new favorite sushi spot. I can't wait to try out their other menu items. Overall, a great experience and I highly recommend.

Today was my birthday, so my dinner spot of choice meant a return here to experience a meal at the newish Charming Thai Restaurant. And we left a few hours later agreeing that this place is fantastic. Soon after we were seated, we met Jessica, who was our principal server. She was an absolute delight with a fantastic personality. She started off with some complimentary noodles and sweet duck sauce. The menu is extensive, with most of the traditional Thai favorites, so think Pad Thai, Drunken Noodle, Fried Rices, Lo Meins, and Pad See-Ew. Other groupings include Chef Specials, Classic Entrees, Curries, and a full slate of appetizers, salads, soups, Pho, and Ramens. When you go through their menu, the various combinations of entrée and protein choices are in the 200 range. So pretty much anyone can eat their favorite Asian food here. We started off with a cup of Wonton Soup (with 6 big wontons) and a cup of Tom Kha Soup with two big shrimp at $5.99 each. The Tom Kha had a mild coconut taste, but I don't mean that in a negative way. I order this a lot, and some places really load up on the coconut flavor so much that the soup resembles a strong thick ice cream topping. Their soup was thinner than some but had enough flavor that it was fantastic. Oh, and those two plump shrimps in my bowl were perfect. We split an $8 order of six pork pot stickers, and they were cooked beautifully without a hint of grease and stuffed with a nice ground pork filling. For our main meal we split a $15.99 order of Chicken Pad Thai. We ordered it mild, but since I like spice, I asked for some extra zip on the side and Jessica brought out a cute little twin dish of Sriracha sauce and Sichuan pepper powder to ramp up the firepower. We loved the Pad Thai, it had plenty of chicken, the noodles were well cooked, and most of all it was sauced perfectly. Not too dry, not too wet, but just perfect. As we were paying our bill, the fact that it was my birthday came up, and Jessica made us promise not to leave yet because she wanted to give me something. That turned out to be a complimentary dish of sweet coconut rice with sliced mango. The portions were so generous that some of the Tom Kha and Pad Thai are now in our refrigerator for tomorrow. Thank you, Jessica, and JJ who tag-teamed us tonight, and here's a special shout-out to Lucy who made the magic happen in the kitchen. The food, the service, the value, and the atmosphere were all exceptional. If you like Thai food as much as we do, head on out to Route 4 and treat yourself to a charming dinner experience at Charming Thai.
