Despite its name, Dairy 'King' is a much smaller operation than Dairy Cream/Tom's Dairy Freeze. However, it offers the same product, re: soft serve, "hard" ice ceam (the usual flavoured stuff that you get at the grocery store), banana splits, sundaes, etc. Since it's a seasonal operation, it's literally a order window, no indoor seating, and 3 picnic tables outside the window. So best to go when it's hot out! Dairy King is literally on the outskirts of Port Credit, so convenient when you feel like soft serve, outdoors, and don't feel like driving all the way out to Cawthra/Lakeshore (Dairy Cream). Be warned, this particular spot is not much of a local hangout as there's no lot - just street parking - so there aren't kids blasting their sound systems, sitting on the roof of their cars. Great for the slightly older crowd/families who've been there, done that. I got a regular sized twist soft serve, chocolate dip, and it was $3.50. Good enough size for sharing. I'd say it was more 80/20 chocolate:vanilla ratio, so if you gravitate more towards traditional vanilla, stick to vanilla.

Delicious banana split! This is a small!!!

This place is a great ice cream shop! They have a HUGE menu to choose from with everything from soft serve to banana splits! The prices aren't cheap but it's definitely worth it. They recently opened up a new section with plenty of seating inside which is a bonus considering this shop is technically a front of a house and used to just be accessible through a walk up window. They are open till 11pm everyday so it makes a nice after dinner snack! Their website is detailed and has all the prices on it. I really like this place, its close to home and a great ice cream shop for those in port credit. 5 stars

Pistachio and strawberry ice creams on waffle cone. Very very good, tasted even better than Dairy Queen on Cawthra

I particularly enjoyed their crepes and waffles. Quantity is quite sufficient and pista ice cream was a hit!

Great little icecream spot less busy than the other one on the same street and the banana splits are to die for.

The ice creams and sundaes are great, but the environment and the owners make it a place I feel like coming back to!

From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a super fun experience. From the quirky and colourful interior with a random disco ball and LED lights, it definitely shone through the vibrant colours of Karachi. The menu was the highlight , with the innovative and fun names of the yummy desserts on offer such as "Laal Pari" and "Mastana Mango" which displayed a great sense of Pakistani culture! We got the strawberry rolled ice cream, the cookies and cream and one of their highlights, the iced Gola! All the ice creams were delicious with a great taste to them and really light yet super wholesome. The Gola, essentially a snowcone covered in traditional Pakistani flavours such as Rooh afza and condensed milk as well as an assortment of fruits, jellies and nuts was as crazy as it sounds, but definitely worked! Love the idea of this place, definitely would come again!

We ordered the Raja Masti, the Mango flavor, the Peshawari Ice Cream, and the oreo cookies and cream flavor. They were all just okay, and the Peshawari ice cream was slightly disappointing because it didnt taste like authentic Peshawari ice cream. They also had no seating space at all and their ice cream took well over 15 minutes to make which made it awkward to stand around. Its a cute spot, but they could work on the ambiance and overall flavor taste and ice cream flavor variety.

After walking around by the water, this is literally the best stop for dessert. It's right in the heart of Port Credit and always has such a fun energy around it. The shop itself is really cute and gives that old-school ice cream parlour vibe. It's not huge inside, but it honestly adds to the charm. They make their ice cream in house and have sooo many flavours to choose from, including a bunch of unique ones and homemade waffle cones that smell amazing when you walk in. I got the cookie dough and biscoff in one of their waffle cones and WOW. AMAZING. Literally so yummy. The cookie dough flavour was super creamy with big chunks throughout, and the biscoff was honestly one of the best I've tried! really rich and flavourful without being too sweet. Together they were such a good combo. And the waffle cone made it even better because it tasted super fresh and crispy. You can tell the quality of the ice cream is really good. It tastes homemade and rich instead of tasting icy or artificial. I totally get why this spot is always busy and why so many people love it. The staff were really friendly too and the line moved pretty fast even though there were lots of people coming in. That's one thing I noticed even when it's packed, they're super efficient. Overall, such a good spot and definitely worth checking out if you're in Port Credit. Perfect summer vibes, amazing ice cream, and just a really cute local place.

We popped in the store and the place was filled with people at around 8pm on a Friday. Just looking at the freezer, my husband and I were sold on the peanut butter and pistachio ice cream. No taste testing necessary! I was a bit disappointed with the bland flavour of the pistachio ice cream, but I did like that there were bits of nuts in it. The peanut butter ice cream was PERFECT!!! It had a strong peanut butter flavour, without being overly sweet. Love how there were rice puff blended in to elevate the texture. In fact, it was so good that we bought a tub to bring home! I really appreciate that they had benches for people to sit on inside the shop, as outside was a bit too cold for me that night.
