    Let's make it simple. Haha

Interesting, I didn't know there was a Yum Yum Donuts here. I know of the Alberto's next door, but how did I miss the Yum Yum?! Anyhow, the donuts looked amazing. Bright lights caught my eyes off of Main Street, while I was turning onto Fremont Avenue. However, the donuts was not too fresh. It was probably over a day old, and peeking into into its second day. I mainly order glazed and the glazed twisting donuts, along with a couple of chocolate bars. It was around $14.00 for a dozen, and $7.00 for half. Knowing there was no deals going on, I bought six. The donuts was good, but did not have the freshly baked taste. The glaze was already flaking off, so I immediately knew it was not barely made. No offense, I understand donuts cannot be made around the clock. And they are usually made during the weird hours of the morning while people are sleeping. The variety was there. Plenty to choose from. Lots of icing and candied donuts available, along with other rolls and fritters. I just wished it was fresher! I'll give it another try soon.

I'll keep coming back just for the mini donuts! I knew there was a Yum Yum location in the area but had never stopped in. I don't regularly stop for donute but I wanted to make a donut tower for my fiance's birthday instead of a traditional cake. Initially intending on full size donuts, I quickly adjusted my plan when I saw they had brightly decoriate mini donuts. Everyone is sucker for anything mini right?! So cute. A perfect substitution for a cake. Pricing is reasonable. They offer numerous food items like sandwiches, breakfast foods, coffee, smoothies etc. They also sell loafs of freshly baked breads. The parking lot is shared but never full so you can easily make a quick trip. I've been back at least twice. Each time I was helped by a different person. Employees are nice. Friendly and fast service. The donut shop is located conveniently next to a yummy Mexican spot we frequent. Can you say dinner and dessert to go! Bonus: They are open 24 hours.

I had my fair shares of donut shops but not like this one. There are SO MANY CHOICES!! Forget the donut holes, they got baby size donuts with different flavors, a variety of donut flavors and they are fully stocked! They even got bunuelos (cinnamon sugar tortilla chips), yum! But wait, there is more! They even got bagel breakfast sandwiches too! Unsure if it is a good thing or bad its a bit out of my way as I will probably be gaining a lot of weight and some cavities along the way. My only downfall is knowing the location, it is not the cleaning or spacious donut house. While I was there, there is a unstable person babbling in one of the tables there. He wasn't harmful but he was definitely on something from his speech, words and demeanor. May be a bit creepy to some. I could say, it may seem like a corner joint but sad to admit, those are the best joints. Another negative is me seeing the lady who was making my bagel who added scrambled egg mix into a small plastic to go bowl and them popped it into the microwave. Interest to add, that was an interesting idea and why did I not ever think of that? I did not care for the plastic in the microwave and try not to make a big deal is this is a donut shop after all and not Einstein's bagel you know, so I can't really compare or complain. I am just happy already with all the selections they had! The girl who served me was super sweet and soft spoken, we exchanged eye contact aware of the crazy man in their store who wouldn't stop trying to spike a conversation with me and I can tell she felt bad for me. TLDR: Lots of selections. Always fully stocked. A mom and pop like hole in the wall (creepy a bit dirty but the best places) and Opens 24hrs!! Friendly services. Plenty of parking in the back also!

Drinks from our combos. Would have taken it with my sandwich, but my husband and I got hungry.

The bagel breakfast sandwiches are delicious. Picked up a few donuts as well. The buttermilk are my favorites as well as the glazed donuts.

Sandwich was massive, however, it was mostly lettuce. Didn't notice from the pictures that the sandwiches aren't very balanced between meats and veggies. It's my personal preference for some more balance or flavor in a sandwich, peppers/onions/seasonings. Honestly, Jersey Mike's seasons their veggies better. I will say the bread at this deli was a notch above Jersey Mike's which is definitely a plus as good bread can make or break a sandwich. Mozzarella sticks were great, although they were normal sticks nothing out of the ordinary but I've definitely had worse sticks (looking at you Prince St Pizza...) so I'd recommend them if fried cheese is your jam! Service counter young lady was nice, she was quick and helpful with her suggestions. Small store, kind of looks like a convenience store and then the deli counter is on the right of the entrance and cashier is in the back. Easy ordering process. Parking is in the back, limited spaces. No inside seating available from what I saw, just counter to order and that's it. Grab and go type of spot for sure. Place was OK - if I lived closer, I would think it's an ok spot to come more often but I would not go out of my way to come.

tl;dr the Dutch crunch rolls highlight an otherwise standard lineup of hearty deli sandwiches…read more The Los Angeles sandwich scene ranges from terrific tortas to farmer's market-on-a-bun, but few spots have embraced the Bay Area's beloved Dutch crunch roll. These slightly sweet hoagie rolls are coated with rice flour, creating an addictively crunchy, tortoise-shell top. While hard to find, Dutch crunch rolls are the specialty at Ghost Sando Shop. This small sandwich chain (from the mind of NorCal native and former Chipotle exec Benjamin Sales) debuted in the Fairfax District, and it has expanded to Orange County and the Valley. Every sandwich at Ghost Sando sports a Dutch crunch roll, and the lineup has achieved TikTok fame. Briefly, Grand Central Market is a semi-outdoor industrial market turned upscale food court. The sky-high walls are painted white, and the concrete floors are slickly polished. Even during the day, only a few rays of sunshine enter through the skylight roof, leaving each vendor's neon sign to pop. During busy hours, expect foot traffic shoulder-to-shoulder through the narrow aisleways. Here, Ghost Sando has a central stall near the wide stairwell. You can't miss the bright teal paint or custom green neon sign. The walls are tastefully decked with hexagon tile and wooden slats. The sandwich production line is front and center, and staff members buzz around even well after the weekday lunch rush. Stools are pressed up against the long stainless steel bar counter, guaranteeing a seat for customers. My partner and I visited Ghost Sando for a weekday lunch, but our food was prepared relatively quickly. Immediately, I was shocked by the sheer density of the sandwiches. Rolled into compact cylinders, the weight could have fooled me into thinking they were bricks. The "Large" size was plenty for even a hefty appetite, but I can't imagine how anyone could tackle the double-topping "XX Large" portions. I also enjoyed the unique Dutch crunch loaf -- consider holding your sandwich upside-down to fully appreciate the crispy shell. Otherwise, the sandwiches were more standard than spectacular. The cold cuts are more like grocery store variety than premium deli, and the veggies are only a step above Subway. I preferred the mildly spicy Firebird to the warm-ish Pastrami Mami, but neither blew my socks off. The service is mostly disengaged, and the sandwiches run from $15 each. Reasonably, a sandwich can be extended across 2 meals. The sandos are mostly standard, but the Dutch crunch rolls are mildly addictive. While Ghost Sando is not a reason alone to pay GCM a visit, it is a filling and reliable bet for routine DTLA lunch.
