Tried the Pad Thai and the Sweet and Sour Chicken. Both are good, flavorful. The noodles in the Pad Thai were chopped and the peanuts mixed in the sauce. No rice was offered. A good size portion, flavorful, tasty. We ordered it medium hot, it was not too spicy, just right. The Sweet and Sour Chicken had lots of vegetables and pineapple. The sauce was nice, not too sweet. A small bowl of rice was offered too. We ate early hoping to avoid a busy time. The service was slow, but the servers were friendly and visible. Maybe too early to know if the service will be slow, they did recently just open. Our very favorite Thai place in town is Ba'An Thai. This was not the same, but good. Prices were comparable. Lunch prices are a good deal. We will try take out next time. We asked if it would be a long wait for Mango Sticky Rice. The sever said no. I'm still waiting. read more

This little restaurant is really a hit or miss experience. Their main dishes are not too bad. Generally seem to have fresh ingredients and the food is served hot. They don't offer brown rice as an option and some of their appetizers leave much to be desired. I am posting a picture of an order of Spring roll. I'm not really sure what it is, but it doesn't look or taste like any spring roll I've ever had anywhere else. I love thai food so when I saw a place I hadn't tried we were on our way. The decor was clean, pleasant, and comfortable. The menu had lots of choices and clear photos and descriptions to aid your selection. I chose the fresh ginger with shrimp. It eas flavorful, fresh, and delicious. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. One of our party was vegetarian and she had plenty to choose from. We all enjoyed our food and will be back soon. read more

Where do I begin? With the enormous wait time when I ordered their Pad Thai for take out during lunch with a handful of guests? Or maybe it was the shocking handful sized portion size that they gave me for $8!? Perhaps I should start with the crab Rangoon that was the size of a bottle cap that comes with the meal? Yes, all true. To top it off, the noodles where mushy, with a very non Pad Thai flavour? Was the sauce out of a packet? It taste mostly of soy sauce!!! Weirder still, my food came with crumpled scrambled eggs sprinkled on top. The all Caucasian staff was a bit of a tip off but my wife who was hungry in the car waiting just wanted to eat. Once i delivered the food to her, you should have seen the shocked look on her face. It was like someone handed her a happy meal from Mcdonalds without the cute box. A disappointment on ALL levels. Went their the other day for lunch. Have been excited to have a good Thai place close to my house. Was sat promptly and my server was very friendly. A very good selection of food at reasonable prices. My clear soup with the lunch special came out very quickly. This was different than most simple clear soups. Very good, with plenty of veg's and tofu. Lunch came out rather quick as well. Very, very happy with the taste, quality and heat!!!! This restaurant in Georgetown Square is bright, inviting, and well decorated. I have visited three times for lunch. Each time, I have been promptly and warmly greeted and my order has been recorded quickly. Elaine has been my server on two of my three visits and she is delightful! The servers are very willing to answer questions about any item on the menu. They point out the sauces on the table and give suggestions for their use. Lunch specials here are a good value and include a soup of the day and choice of an egg roll or crab Rangoon. Even when every table is filled, food is served quickly and piping hot - with just the "right" amount of heat. I feel the Pad Thai is the most flavorful I've had in Fort Wayne. This restaurant is a hidden gem! It is in a strip mall across from Kroger and is very clean and welcoming inside. The food is amazing- don't miss the crab rangoon! I like to go for lunch and get one of the specials, it comes with either a crab rangoon or an egg roll and the soup of the day. I went in for carry-out. I asked the waitress "what's popular" since it was my first time. She suggested the Thai Cashew, so I ordered it with chicken. She said she gets it medium spicy, so I tried that as well. I read the description after and the chili paste had me nervous. It was absolutely delicious! I like that they cut the chicken and veggies very thin! Next time I'll order extra rice, only because I like a lot of rice. The restaurant is clean and they cooked the food really fast. New discovery recently. Took a chance. Pleasantly surprised! They have attempted an atmosphere that is nicer than your budget asian restaurant. Tough to do when there are so many exterior windows. Menu is exhaustive and WELL designed. Excellent item descriptions, item numbers, item names in english and thai. Ordered 3 appetizers and 2 entrees for our group. Also had thai teas. Excellent presentation of all dishes. Sauces were fabulous. Waitstaff all caucasian females. Well trained with excellent abilities. Our server was very attentive, helpful and friendly. The weakest of Thai restaurants in Ft. Wayne. My wife picked up some take out last night. The gaeng massaman has maybe 10 half pieces of peanut. The tofu was over cooked. Very dry and tough. And it cost almost $30 for two of us. I stopped before I was full so I would have some for lunch. It hasn't gotten any better with age. My wife's tofu was the same and the flavor is ok. First of all I hate being that person that comes in 10 minutes before a restaurant closes but I hadn't eaten all day (I honestly had just smoked a joint as well lol). The sweetest waitress took my order and assured me, after I asked her if it was too late, "It's really okay! It won't take long at all to make it!" After I told her I wanted (pad thai with tofu) she double checked to make sure egg was okay. The best customer service in my eyes, is when I feel like someone goes the extra mile to make sure I'm taken care of. Especially when my preferences are taken into consideration. She asked if I wanted anything to drink while I was waiting, and offered a free soft drink after I only requested a water! (Apparently all soft drinks are free after 8). Ordered the pad prikh king and spicy coconut chicken soup. That soup changed my life forever. I was accustomed to their version of the viatnamese version of pho, so I was a little apprehensive. It was delivery and after conversing my apprehension with the lady on the phone, she basically told me I wouldn't regret it. I've dined in, carried out, and gotten delivery. This place is meh. I will most likely not return. First of all, the crab Rangoon had a very odd taste. I don't think I like them. I had two and they just tasted off but I couldn't figure out what was making them taste the way they did. Secondly, the portions are not impressive. I paid something like $14 for my dish and was surprised that it was the size that it was. I ordered an eggplant dish with chicken. The flavor was good and the eggplant was cooked to a nice texture but I was still expecting more from it. It was a typical Asian sauce with eggplant thrown in, but the menu made it sound more exuberant than it turned out to be. Thirdly, I didn't make this very a large factor in the rating, but I placed my order online to be picked up at 6 and it wasn't ready when I showed up around 6:05. In fact, they told me 20 more minutes. I waited about 25 minutes before I called to ask about my order and they told me 10 more minutes. I walked in about 10 minutes later and it was finally ready. They were clearly slammed. I saw a few door dash drivers leave empty handed, but my goodness that was way off. They weren't apologetic either, just informative and that always irks me. read more

I'm so glad Yum Thai came to our neighborhood! The food is great & the menu is laid out wonderfully with photos (and the food that comes out, really looks like the photos!). I've ordered the sweet & sour chicken, green curry, ginger chicken, egg rolls & crab Rangoon. All were fabulous, especially the egg rolls; very light & crispy. Lunch specials are available 7 days/week until 3pm, dine in or carry out & include a dish, soup & egg roll or crab Rangoon for $7.50 & the portions are perfect. The waitresses are friendly & helpful, especially if you're not familiar with Thai food. I've called for carry-out several times & my food has always been ready for pick-up within 10-15 minutes. Tried the new Yum Thai in Georgetown Square. The restaurant is clean with cute Asian decor. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is a welcome change from the often too greasy, salty or over cooked Asian food. It doesn't taste like it has been sitting in the kitchen for hours. Have had several meals at Yumm Thai and only one dish was disappointing. The deep fried Red Snapper with hot sauce was tremendous crispy , balanced, vegetables were very fresh and crisp tender. The fish was expensive but worthwhile to order again. The disappointment was the chicken with Chinese Broccoli. It looked good with large pieces of tender white meat and good portion of broccoli. Big problem was that the sauce was TOO salty. It appears that the kitchen may have doubled the soy sauce with no balancing with sweet/sour. For all intents and purposes???? Straight undiluted soy sauce Other dishes were tasted from meal mates. All were very good to excellent. The luncheon soup, a clear (almost) miso like soup filled with cabbage, some tofu, celery and had a slightly beefy undertones Would like to see condiments on the table. Items such as Sambal Oelek, Sambal Badjak, and Prik Nam Pla. Yumm Thai is one of the top three Thai restaurants probably first in FWA. This is the best Thai restaurant in Fort Wayne and the surrounding area. You can't go wrong with this place.

So the food, 5 stars all the way, the service is zero. Everyone is really nice, but half the wait staff is really really young, seriously doubt they've even ever paid their own dinner tab let alone understand service. The price point is way to high for the atmosphere and lack of a knowledgeable staff with work experience. Not to mention this place has a very high carry out volume and the servers manage that too. The restrooms are never as clean as they should be, and the last time we dined in, the temperature was ridiculously high, everyone was complaining. Bottom line is, yes food is good, no it's not a good value, yes the service is absolutely ridiculous, almost to the point of not having a server. Yes you'll spend $60 and feel like you ate at a mall food court. This place really needs to reevaluate its infrastructure. It's become way to expensive to dine out, I'll be dropping my $100 for my family of 4 where I can get a water refill and don't have to wait until DoorDash has all their orders.
