As a collaborative at work, we decided to try Artichoke East and order pickup. First of all, no…read morecall in ordering. Online ordering was confusing bc it looks like you needed to add $3.49 for your choice side of flavored chips. My coworker went there to order. She said a pickle with every sandwich (bc we are a bunch of pickle lovers). But guess what? NO pickles!! Our chips came in sandwich bags. Wth! It's a pick up order. Just give us the bag of Vickie's chips. Very chintzy. Our sandwiches are tasty, I gave 2 stars for taste, but where's the meat?? My experience with broadway Artichoke, no problem. Rock Rd Artichoke is a joke. Spend your $15 for a fat sandwich at Jason's Deli. The 6 of us now know. Never that Artichoke. Ever again. Oh! One more thing. Good luck finding parking during lunch during the bank hours bc the restaurant shares a bank building.

Visiting on a Saturday after the lunch hour made for easy parking and the entry is separate from the office building since it is located on the ground floor to one side. The ambiance was nice with a Cheers bar feel to it. Cozy quiet atmosphere that felt cool on a hot afternoon. We split the "Famous #8" with potato salad and ordered a side salad. They split the sandwich on put on separate plates for us. Quality of food was excellent. Beer was cold.

Our server was phenomenal!!! She was very knowledgeable of the menu and drinks. We had a party of 10 and had the best time. Eventhough it was crowded we could still talk without having to raise our voices This is definitely a place to go!!!

First let's talk about what was FANTASTIC-they have this big private meeting/dining room that is…read moreabsolutely PERFECT for groups, parties, meetings...it's upstairs, it's private, quiet and it has lots of natural light and a view! Then we get to all the things that really matter if you are a restaurant and NOT a catering venue. Training-why is your server not trained well on how to interact when there is a speaker/leader who is talking when she decides to interrupt? Why is the food so focused on being smashed into a shape that fits inside the rim of the plate? It almost seemed as if they stacked all our plates full of food on top of each other (I don't think they did that?), without covers, because my meal came compacted, shaped and stuffed into the plate...very unappetizing. The food wasn't terrible, but it was cold and put on the plate based upon a list and and photos...not by anyone who ever considered that an actual SOUL was going to have to PUT IT IN THEIR MOUTH.... So 5 stars for room 3 stars for service (she was really nice) 2 stars for food Averages out to 3! If you aren't going for a meeting or party-it might be different!

The wait staff was excellent and kept us laughing as we were visiting and they would look at us when they walked by to see if we were ready to order. We finally did order food and we all had a great laugh. This is what I call a great older restaurant/bar. All though there is another location in town I feel it's great to see where it started from. Great place

Love a dive bar with some ambiance, history, and bar fare, so I was very excited when a colleague…read moresuggested the Artichoke for a quick sandwich and a beer for lunch while in Wichita for a conference. When we walked in, immediately we got seated (it was lunch on a Saturday)--got us a nice little booth with some green lit ambiance. The server checked on us to get our drinks quickly and then returned to take our order--definitely did an awesome job and thanks to the staff for all their work. Other reviews mentioned that the food wasn't necessarily the best or made in house--I can't speak to that, but I will say that the sandwich and potato salad hit the spot for me. This was exactly what I was looking for as a quick bite! I got the Famous #8 with potato salad as a side, and I ate that all up. They also had some domestic and local beers on draft, so I got an El Dorado company brew, and it hit the spot. The general Irish vibe was great, and if I get back to Wichita, I'll definitely be planning to hit up the Artichoke!
