I have been in this city for 22 days and I am mad that it took me this long to try Oh Yeah!, because their food made me say, "Hell yeah!" Customer service was great. We arrived about 50 minutes before closing time, but they didn't seem annoyed, nor did they rush us. (Even though I rushed us. I didn't wanna be THAT customer. lol) SALT & PEPPER POTATOES Thinly sliced potatoes seasoned with magic, and cooked with savory jalapeños and onions. Simple yet divine. I'd eat this everyday if my hips would allow it. 10/10 SALT & PEPPER TOFU Firm and crispy tofu cubes supremely marinated with the same magical seasoning, so every bite is bursting with flavor. Seriously delicious. And they give you a LOT (2 or 3 days worth of food with these appetizers)! 10/10 THAI SPRING ROLLS - (vegan version) fresh, crispy, made with veggies. 10/10 ORANGE "CHICKEN" - my vegan version was made with soy protein. Although it wasn't spicy (the menu indicates that it's a spicy dish), it was still delicious. The sauce is amazing. The soy was cooked to perfection: not too hard or too chewy; a light crisp on the outside. Excellent vegan option. 9/10 My friend got the Ma La with real chicken and the Crab Rangoon and she loved it. This place is very vegan and gluten-free friendly. I have 2 more weeks in Wichita, and I plan to revisit multiple times to try more of their vegan entrees. There are no fully veg restaurants here, so this place is a must try for veg*ns (and non) in the area. read more

I love moo shu. One of the few things that you can do to make me not like it, is to give me a flour wrapper instead of a rice wrapper. Oh yeah, gave me a flour wrapper. Then they made the moo shu filling with stocky broccoli that ripped through the flour wrapper. The egg blossom soup had no flavor and did not come with any crispy crackers. The fried rice was exactly that rice that was fried. I couldn't say any onion, peas, egg, or anything else. Everything was bland. Part of my order was missing. I have enjoyed Oh Yeah in the past. Fun name, for a restaurant. Food was very good. Service was excellent. We started out with Thai style spring rolls, edamame and a bowl of won ton soup. All were good tasting, for the most part. However, I could taste the oil the rolls were cooked in, the edamame was virtually unsalted, and the soup was won ton and bok choy in broth, nothing else. For our entrees I ordered the General Sao chicken with medium spice and added zucchini. I requested no broccoli, but agreed to the carrots and peas that are already in the mix, but I only got the zucchini. That was ok though, it was great just like that. Only thing I didn't like was I could again taste the oil they cooked the breaded meat in. The other plate we ordered was the Beef Extravaganza. Now that was excellent! Wonderful flavor. Highly recommend this dish. Overall, this is a good dining experience. Not my favorite, but worth another to try a couple different plates. read more

Still our favorite for Chinese food in Wichita. Always good service and good at reasonable prices. Tonight I had the mixed vegetables in brown sauce with chicken while the wife enjoyed her meal of cashew with chicken. They also serve a nice bento box lunch but we are typically here for dinner. While we consider this primarily a dine in restaurant, they also do take out. We've done the take out and the food is just as good, but we really prefer to dine in and enjoy the service. read more

THE BEST Chinese I've found in Wichita in the year I've lived here. It's a nice sit-down restaurant. Nicely decorated in traditional Chinese (and other oriental) decor. The food is what stands out. They haven't "dumbed down" the flavors for the local pallet. Their "spicy" dishes are truly flavorful. I like "spicy" and Oh Yeah! didn't disappoint. The "hot-sour" soup was peppery - if not particularly sour - but it was hearty with a rich broth and lots of Chinese style veggies and tofu. The Kung Pao beef I ordered was really tasty, it had a variety of vegetables in it along with a rich and spicy sauce. The beef was tender and the presentation was outstanding. My wife had the General Tso's chicken which was also pleasantly spicy and rich. The hot tea was a very tasty "Jasmine-Green tea". It got better as it steeped. It was a pleasant change from the weak, virtually tasteless green teas I've had at other Chinese restaurants in the ICT. We had two minor disappointments which kept this from being a 5 * review: 1. It was COLD inside the restaurant - especially when someone came in from outside. I suspect it was the location of our table, but it was, frankly, uncomfortably cold. 2. We ordered the "Cream Cheese Rangoon" as an appetizer and it never arrived. Not sure if it got "grabbed" for another table. They offered to bring it out, but we opted to skip it this time. Good food, just kind of small portions and very over priced for what you receive, especially carry out. Their online pricing is not what the in restaurant pricing is. You have to watch because they like to not include white rice if you order fried rice. Well I paid for the white rice which is included with a meal, and bought fried rice full size on side, I should get both. First time I let it go. Next time I called them out. Third time they knew what they were doing. Overall good food though. read more

Ordered take out online. Process was simple and accurate. Food was done on time and still hot when I got it home. The crab Rangoon is really good. The pad Thai was good, tasted more "clean/ healthy" than other places I've tried. My daughter got fried rice, she loved it. I think they make it with quinoa and brown rice because it also taste like a healthier option of fried rice then I've ever had before. I'll definitely be trying more in the future. read more

If you see a bad review chances are the person never gives 5 stars. I got the yellow chicken curry and it is by far the best in town. Could be a bit spicer but you can always add more heat. I have now been here more than 5 times and every time is spectacular. Today I tried the Yellow Curry with Chicken, Honey Chicken and Pork Fried Rice. I haven't found good fried rice in 6 years because I've been living in Kansas and Florida. I finally found it...it's phenomenal. The Honey Chicken is crisp and served with broccoli. All of it is just so good. The service is also always great. I've always had the same guy and he's very honest about recommending food even if it costs less than something else. The music here is also always great. Light piano music of classic songs like "Rain Drops Keep Falling on My Head." I will continue to come here often. read more

It really feels like each dish is a family recipe and is made with precision and care. I have been going here for many years and have always had great interactions with the staff and enjoy speaking with the owner/manager every time I am there. I am vegan and it is nice to have SO MANY OPTIONS (the soy is a must in anything)! For you meat eaters out there my father in-law who grew up in the bay area near China town has had the duck and loved it. An elegant Chinese bistro with vegetarian options. I've had food here twice, once for takeout and another time to dine in. Both experiences were very positive. The atmosphere is very inviting. When I ordered takeout, I was asked if I wanted to sit at a table and have a glass of water while I waited. Not only that, but the food was ready really quick. When I had lunch inside, the staff members were all very polite and helpful. The two bright spots on the menu that separate this place from others would be the vegetarian and bento box options. In addition to having tofu, they can also substitute soy protein for meat. That's true for most items on the menu too. The General Tso's Soy "Chicken" was excellent. The texture was chewy and there were a lot of wonderful flavors on the plate. A little spicy and sweet, not too salty either. The bento box is a great option to get the most for your money if you're looking for an affordable lunch.
