Decided to try this place based on the number of people raving about their "vegan" menu. We lean vegetarian and so thought that would be a good place to visit. It was disappointing to say the least. While they do have a small vegan menu, it was unclear how many of the items were really "vegan". For example, they had a vegan beef pho which raised some questions. When we asked about the broth, we were told it was beef-based. There may have been a language barrier there, but it left us unsure about what was actually being served. Adding to that, the space was fairly loud - the buzzing of the fan, coupled with music playing at a level that made it harder to relax or have a conversation. We settled for the vegetarian spring rolls - which were mediocre - and then decided to leave. Overall did not live up to expectations. read more

Ive gone here a couple times it was good but more than a week ago i ordered pho to go and it honestly was not good , first they put some sweet sauce which ruined the pho i though it was sirracha sauce but they put in the small container half sirracha and some mysterious sauce . I guess this place cant just have sirracha sauce in one small container . Secondly is whats in the picture. We decided to try Pho Kc based on the reviews but the food wasn't very good on this visit. We tried the shrimp and pork spring rolls and the thinly sliced pork was dry and bland. They did not serve a thick peanut sauce with it and the sauce was a dark liquid sauce with a hint of peanut so the sauce did not mask the dry meat in the spring rolls I ordered the special combination pho with meat, meat balls, and tripe and my partner ordered the meat ball pho. The broth was very was very thin and bland. I also was used to an oily broth. The both of our broth had a hint of chicken flavor which I was not used to. The meatball didn't taste very good and the meat had no flavor. We ordered a bahmi sandwich and it had the same consistency as the pho broth, bland. The restaurant was clean though and the server was nice. Good not so nice. read more

I'll be honest: I had the grilled and roasted pork bùn and I wasn't in love with it. The portions were large but the roasted pork was thin and dry like jerky and the grilled meat was chewy, and none of the meat was hot by the time it was served. I love the contrast of hot, crispy, grilled pork with the cool noodles, but the whole dish was a big pile of lukewarm. The sauce was also bland, a bit too sweet and leaned heavy on the fish sauce. We also ordered fresh pork spring rolls as an appetizer, which arrived sometime after our entrees. I was too full after my main meal to eat them, but I had one the following day and it was fine, though I wish I had gotten the traditional shrimp version instead (the pork was still dry and blah.) The staff did the basic requirements of the job (although I hope the timing issue was a fluke), and the interior of the restaurant was clean and pleasant. I think if I come back with friends or something, I'll try the pho, which I've heard good things about. I'm very happy with the consistency of the Vietnamese places closer to my house, though, so I probably won't go out of my way at this point. Sorry, guys! read more

Hello to you all. I know it's been a while, but, rest assured I have been all right and living the "best life" one can live. So, Pho-KC, my new favorite joint. Not a bad selection at all. The spring rolls, I have to deduce are named for their proclivity to make you "spring" out of your socks! These rolls come with a nice peanut sauce that's one of the better delights in our natural world. Now, I feel I should add that the service here is excellent with a good selection of employees biding their time, ready to cater to the refined appetite of even the posher patron. These employees are no stranger to service that certainly won't steer you wrong. Be sure to poke your nose into the cooler by the front desk. My nephew got a kick out of it. Because as it turns out, they had a soda can of his favorite cartoon man, 'Rock Man X'. Always something of interest when you step inside Pho-KC. read more

I have a newfound love for vermicelli and I wanted to love this--but I didn't. It was alright, but I didn't save my leftovers because the shrimp patty and the pork were both pretty chewy. I also didn't like the sauce served with it, because it was too sweet and fish sauce-y. Maybe I'll give this place another go and try something else next time. read more

Wow. We do not live close, but are always on the lookout for our favorite pho - the place we used to get our vegan pho closed, but we saw lots of comments about Pho KC. They do full vegan but also you can do all vegetable pho with their beef broth. Everything we ate was out of this world and the service was phenomenal. Everyone was extremely friendly and when we got the Vegetable Pho made sure we knew it was a beef broth. I love that you can order JUST broth as well ( a favorite of our kiddos!). We also got the vegan egg rolls and they were the best I have ever had. We cannot wait for the next meal! read more

I LOVE this place. I have really high standards for Vietnamese food because I have been eating it since I was basically a newborn. I moved here from San Diego nervous I wouldn't find a place as good as the one I went to my entire life - but I did! Little hole in the wall looks like nothing from the outside but will blow you away type of place. My boyfriend & I have always ordered through doordash because we are introverts & have often been sick when we order (pho is so good when you have a cold) - but took my family who came to visit to dine in this weekend. I was nervous because not only do they also have high standards for Vietnamese food but they also have gluten / dairy / meat allergies. The staff worked with us & was so understanding. My family said their pho broth is actually better than what we have in San Diego. Great quick service. Everyone was happy & left satisfied. Highly recommend !!!!!! read more

I'm definitely a pho connoisseur. I can't seem to get enough of it and am on a hunt for the best pho in town. However, although the serving size was perfect and there was plenty of meat, the broth didn't have much flavor. It was just a bit salty, which I love!! But it didn't really have much of a flavor to stand out from the rest of the places in town. Would I get it again?? Probably, considering pho broth is typically made fresh daily (I think.) My husband got the vermicelli--#39... he would give it a 7/10. He wasn't sure what a piece of the meat was, lol, and it made him a bit uncomfortable. (He's super particular and extremely nervous about new foods/meats) He says the flavor in his bowl didn't stand out above the rest either, but wasn't unhappy with his dish. read more

The food here is so good! My bf and I go at least once a week! The service is fast and kind, with a very relaxed ambiance.

Staff was semi-friendly but it took a good 25 minutes to get us just water. Food was not worth the price, there was some seafood but not enough, two pieces of shrimp to be exact. They took a while to sit us down. We noticed everyone was getting out faster than we did. Hard to get servers attention, took a while for waters to be refilled, not to mention how everyone was getting served before us. Food was lukewarm, not to my liking. Meat in pho was very limited. Asked for bean sprouts, and was told they didn't have any. Five minutes later a table was served bean sprouts.
